People rarely walked here, and therefore Cody and Thera used this place when they needed to be alone, when there was no access to her ship for a number of reasons. Cody and Thera were kissing and hugging when there was a polite cough nearby. Cody stopped and looked back. It was Kenobi.

"I didn't want to interrupt what you were enjoying, but we need to discuss important plans for a future mission, Commander. I could have waited, but Master Windu has arrived. He doesn't like to wait."

Cody rolled his eyes and turned to Thera.

"Well, since this is about Master Windu, I can't keep him waiting."

He kissed her lips one more time before following the grinning Kenobi.

It was a tiring day. There were no missions, but there was a lot of paperwork and a lot of planning and tactics. Skywalker and Kenobi came up with many options, and he and Rex had to figure out how to put those plans into action. It is good that the generals listened to their opinion. But that didn't make the day any less difficult. He was lucky that he had Thera and she could help him relax.

Cody almost felt bad about Grim. Listening to lectures on the importance of lightsabers from a master who himself loses lightsabers as often as a Padawan must be exhausting. But on the other hand, one more case in his favor.

Okay, this was in my head for a while, but this post finally made me write it down.

Throughout the war, Rex and Cody competed to see which of them would pick up their general's lightsaber more often. Ahsoka as a commander was not count, since Obi-Wan did not have a Padawan and it would not be fair (canon wise. In those verses where Obi-Wan has a Padawan, they also count the cases when they picked up the commanders' lightsabers too). The prize was that the loser would treat the winner to a drink in the 79s. They took stock every month.

Despite the widespread belief that Anakin lost his lightsaber often enough, Obi-Wan did it much more often.

By the time the war ended, they were on an equal footing. After picking up Obi-Wan's lightsaber, Cody won their competition.
