OBSERVER'S NOTE:

Oletus Manor was an oddity to many of it's residents and visitors. Rumored to be haunted, many do not bother to visit the manor in fear of being stuck in there; and to others, they came there due to the fact the manor hosts it's own… Games, as it likes to put it.

Games that involved the residents as "survivors": those that focus on escaping. However, the "hunters" were the biggest oddity of all— the source of one's fear is the unknown, and they were the source of it.

Or that is what he wants them to believe.

The detective was one of those people, as she deals with the constant stress of her waking moments. Her sibling was tied to many things unbeknownst to her, lurking in the depths of the abyss and the like, and her wife had each cycle of life she must go through on her own terms.

Although there were some that had tried to come close to her, they were simply met with disappointment in return. No one understood the temperament of the detective, nor her absurd luck on most situation she gets roped into.

However, with her around, it was almost like each mystery is but an open book for her. Nothing is left unsolved in her hands, no matter how convoluted it looked.

After all, she wouldn't be able to live up to the title of her job if she hadn't found a way to get close to the individuals mentioned above... And even to those lurking in the clutches of the abyss.

Rules Of The Abode:

As I run this place, I have rules that must be followed. Failure to observe such regulations will be dealt with, and if broken enough times, you will be blocked.

I reserve the right to accept or deny a request.

This is more specifically to characters that I feel uncomfortable doing in romantic scenes, OR at all/in general. Most of it is just preference, but some of them have some personal shit that made me not want to delve to them, or it's because I genuinely can't do them justice (and believe me, I really can't.)

Before sending me a letter (ask) for a survivor/hunter, please be specific on what your request entails. Will it be a headcannons list for the characters? Would you want it to be more about a short story on a specific scenario? Or a drabble?

Alongside that, I do a variety of genres for specific characters. I can do:

It will take a while until I open up to things like NSFW, so in the meantime, feel free to request these genres. Do keep in mind that I will answer requests slowly depending on what you ask.

Patience is key, and remember the human behind the screen

Writing takes time, and as much as I hate to have people wait, it will take a while (days to weeks) for me to get to your request. I also don't take this blog above my own life as I have other commitments that require my attention.

As a disclaimer, I do answer requests that I'm able to depending if I have the time to fulfill them. However, if you pester me to rush through your request, there will be a chance for me to reject your request. After all, I am only human, and I'd rather not put my focus on this blog than anything else.

The Observer hadn't thought of anything when the letter was sent, their focus set on writing books. Although they were a survivor like the others, they were a bit of an... Odd one- and even moreso on the state that they were in when the Baron had contacted them.

Rumors seem to have few around about them, but they never really brought any answers to it. Because of this, most of the survivors had put this under the rug, considering this wasn't any normal survivor, or even a resident.

... That is, until a certain curious raven came by one day to drop off the letter made by the mercenary.

Turning their head, they heard the flapping of wings and they watched the bird fly off, their yellow eyes focusing onto the envelope. Confused, they stood up and waltzed over, swiping their hand to grab it and open the letter.

It wasn't hard to ease the wax or even making sure the page wasn't torn, but judging by how it looked, it seems to be rather... Rushed. Worn, maybe. But that's probably because of that bird that delivered it to their windowsill.

" I wonder what he wrote... Surely he must've denied my offer. "

Imagine their surprise upon seeing that- well, no, he hasn't rejected their offer, but even more at the fact that he wanted to celebrate their success. With him.

" ... "

The Observer couldn't help but set the page aside, raising a free hand to their chest. It was hard for anyone to tell how they felt, but the warmth on their cheeks and the look of bewilderment would be a good indication on how they truly felt.

Taking one good, deep breath, they rushed off to get the papers and another envelope. They didn't want to disappoint or leave the mercenary hanging, so they needed to write another to him!

Gods, maybe I should've been more careful... they mused, biting the inside of their cheek as they set the things down. Snatching up their personal quill, they took a deep breath and dipped it into the bottle of ink once, raising it once more before they got to writing.

... But I think I can let this slide. Once.

“ Favorites? ”

The observer paused in the middle of writing, letting out a hum. Well, there were, but if they had to be specific...

“ I suppose I have a lot of favorite in writing about survivors and hunters, ” they began, spinning the pen on their hands before continuing, “ Their stories are interesting, I'd say. However, if I have a few that I'd enjoy writing, it would be... Difficult, haha.

But with both factions... I enjoy writing a lot on Eli Clark. His tales are intriguing to witness, and his alternates also have rather intriguing stories to tell. If I were to pick anyone in the survivor faction on one of my absolute favorites, it'd be him, Norton Campbell, and Naib Subedar. ”

They glanced over at the letter after they said those words, their lips curled to a cheeky smile before continuing.

“ I also enjoy writing Frederick, and the couple... Ada Mesmer and Emil were their names, if I recall correctly. Ah— and Aesop Carl! He may be the most morally dubious out of all the survivors, but his tale is quite intriguing to crack down.

... though, I am a little biased with that painter... Edgar Valden, right—? ”

They reached over to one of the papers stacked on the desk, grabbing their glasses to put it at the bridge of their nose. Squinting at the words, they mumbled the name of the residents before nodding.

“ ... Yes, it's the name of the painter. Though, I am guilty of writing him and observing him a lot since he caught my eye when he first came to the manor as Golden Ratio. ”

A soft cough.

“ As for hunters, I love writing Mary. She's been the first huntress that helped me... Adjust, so to speak, and even with her attitude, she has a lot of experience and she's told me a few tales of her own.

... I do need to ask her for her permission, though...

That aside, another hunter I enjoy writing is Michiko, and Wu Chang. Those two are intriguing in their own right— at least to the point of wanting to write stories about them. It might be a bit odd if I told them, hehe... ”

They coughed, raising the paper to hide their embarrassment.

“ Finally, I do enjoy writing about Hastur. He's well aware of my existence and my... Role, even if the Baron had oh-so-kindly assigned me as a survivor, so He told me stories and tales of the others. He's quite nice to talk to when it comes to discussing about tales and the shenanigans everyone gets up into. ”

They let out a laugh afterwards, giving you a smile in return. Despite the cheekiness of their words, you can tell that they meant what they said.

Sorry everyone, I might not be able to take on anymore requests this week.

My PC is facing some massive difficulties so I've sent it to repairs hours ago. As of right now, I hadn't received any news of it's condition, so for the time being I'll be putting requests on hold till it gets fixed.

As for the requests before the repair, don't worry— I'm currently doing those right now, but it's going to stay in drafts because I don't have their respective banners yet. I'm also enduring a writer's block and it has not been very fun seeing those asks and thinking that you all are waiting for me to answer it to no avail.

I hope you all understand why I'll take a step back this week on doing requests till I get news. I'll reblog this with updates in case to update y'all— as of now, I won't take any requests and will be closing my letterbox (inbox).

To answer your speculation about upcoming characters: sadly I don’t think Alice is gonna get a hunter version as she was never seen as a hunter in the POV of norton, melly or orpheus, however devs have let it slip that we’re going to get a hunter to hunter switch and a new survivor (possibly the pilot that was leaked along side journalist 👀). There’s going to be more info on May 3rd so I’m excited

Aww, Alice not having a hunter version is kinda sad, but oh well. It would probably be hard anyways but the idea would have been interesting in the future hehe
