Not only did I get the Jin statue today, but I also got the other stuff that came with the collector's edition! :D And yes, that ALSO includes the DLC, so that means I DO have the season pass, and will get all the characters once they drop! ^^ And I also got the other content... (those gold fucking suits, all the avatar skins + shirts lol) The only thing I DIDN'T get was the steel game case + the game itself. But oh well! I can probs find the game case later if I really wanted it. Besides, I paid a pretty cheap price for this all, so I don't mind tat all! xD I was wanting this stuff badly when it first came out, but thought I could never afford it! (Found it for much cheaper on eBay than that daunting $300...)

Now I just gotta find a place to put Jin and his big fuckin' wing on my shelf! ^^;

are there any rogues or DC characters that you've wanted to interact with but haven't for some reason or another?

probs quite a lot!!! and whilst there's been some i did get to write with - it's been a while since i did write with one, so i'll include them in the list anyway.

more flashes! (barry, wally, or jay - whatever. i've been watching, and now caught up with, the CW series. so it makes me a lil more interested in flash stuff :p)

two face. harv and ed's potential dynamic has always interested me since batman forever. bad movie. but some harv and ed scenes were fun!

poison ivy. i have a selina i interact with, and a few harleys, but i don't rly follow many pams for some reason!

GORDON. i don't think i've ever written with a gordon - i don't know if they even exist. but eddie really loves trolling his former coworker a lot. :')

wonder woman - i've only written with like one or two a while ago. wonder woman is interesting just bc she was my ed's favorite childhood hero.

bane - can't say i ship it or not, but i do like them as pals. i find them to be opposite pals! with bane being so ... HUGE, and eddie being so small in comparison (which is funny, bc ed's 6'1". but you know, bane's height makes ed look small in comparison - and also ed's bony ass, and bane's beefy ass doesn't help LOL) and despite bane being all muscles, they're both quite intelligent people.

batmen. of course. i've had batmans i've written with here and there. but being on here for nearly 3 years, a lotta 'ems gone inactive. so - i'm always wanting a batman to write with, i find eddie's fascination with him to be interesting!

more riddlers. it sounds funny 'cos like! i'm an eddie. but i just think it's funny whenever ed interacts with another ed. especially bc everyone's take on eddie seems to be different in ways - i think damn near every eddie writer writes him in a very unique way just because there's been so many different takes on him in media, that we all just pick what we like and don't like. y'know? so, eddie finds it entertaining to see how he's "different" in other universes.

then there's just other common batrogues that i haven't rly interacted with, but would like to - such as hugo strange, clayface, manbat, and the likes. i'm always happy to write with any dc character!!

maybe it's because of Bloodline (rip) but whenever I see a lot of Hwoajin fanart, I do see ppl depicting Jin as if he's as passionate about the rivalry, which is usually . . . untrue. Jin cares about Hwoarang (big misconception he doesn't) but their rivalry isn't exactly like that of other fighting game rivalries. Hwoarang is more open about the rivalry and wanting to fight, meanwhile Jin usually takes a cooler head. Here are some examples of how the games have portrayed their dynamic.

In Hwoarang's tag 1 ending, Hwoarang is trying to argue with Jin, and Jin clearly isn't reciprocating.

In Hwoarang's Tekken 4 ending, Hwoarang calls Jin just to fight him - Jin doesn't seem very interested, stating there's no reason for them to fight. (Aside from sparring, Jin usually seems like the type to only fight when necessary)

Then in Tekken 5, Jin admits defeat with ease. Of course, he had far more important matters to attend to (his great grandfather being possessed for example) but still. It matches with his behavior in the previous games. And this was much to Hwoarang's annoyance.

This isn't to say that Jin doesn't care about the rivalry. He does. He's just not as openly passionate about it as Hwoarang is. After all, continuing off the Tekken 4 ending - Jin does smile when Hwoarang offers him a rematch.

Or Hwoarang's Tag 2 and Tekken 8 ending, where they have motorcycle races. Although in the former, Hwoarang seems more excited whilst Jin still keeps his regular levelheaded stoicism, Jin still keeps a competitive spirit. Meanwhile, the latter, Jin seems to be more into their little race-fight.

Though, I will note that Jin did get distracted by Paul & Law enough to ask about them - in which Hwoarang appropriately asked wtf does it matter, and practically said "stay focused, idiot".

I don't see them as the type to reply with "NO!" at the same time when sb asks if they're friends. More accurately, I feel Hwoarang is the one to yell "no!" whilst Jin is the type to say "i guess".

Why am I bothering to go on about this? Well, this is probs my favorite ship, and there's a few reasons why that is. Particularly, this dynamic is very interesting to me and the fact that Jin doesn't show the same eagerness for a supposed rivalry just makes them unique to me, especially compared to other rivalries. It also shows why their personalities click so well. It's kind of the "opposite attracts" trope. Jin is the cool head who isn't as invested in a silly rivalry, whilst Hwoarang is the hot head who's adamant about it.

fun fact! with the exception of tekken 6 and seemingly tekken 8, devil jin always has longer bangs than jin. (a detail that was even added in tekken 7 somehow!) why this is being omitted in tekken 8, and why it wasn't in tekken 6 either, is unknown.
