The crumbs sitting on his cheeks left a trail of truths he hadn't intended to leave behind, caught with the chocolate still staining his fingertips as he swallowed what remained with a guilty expression. "They would've just been untouched otherwise!" He pleaded, quite honestly a little unsure as to why the rest of the class thought it was necessary to leave something out for 'Santa' anyway. They were all past the point of believing, weren't they?

"You can at least PRETEND I'm doing okay!" Okay, he knew he was miserable at this but she was too blunt! A little (feigned) encouragement would have made the very real blow to his ego a little less heavy. As if decorating was really something he had the nerve to be upset over when he had never really been the best at it to begin with. Her points were valid and he only pouted to acknowledge them rather than refute any further, making zero comment on his lack of height to finish the job or do it adequately, at that.

Mineta's content with letting her laugh at his misery and continue with her music until footsteps catch him by surprise. Glancing up at her he vaguely gestures to the rest of the decorations that were left, then to the rest of the naked tree, as if she really needed the guidance. "I'd like to see you hang the star then, shorty. I'm short but you're not that much taller." Granted she had more than him, but everyone did. He couldn't help that he wasn't as gifted in certain areas as others but leaving him to do things that clearly left him at a disadvantage hardly seemed fair.

Jirou being kind was a new development though.

Arms fold as his expression falls neutral, gazing upon the mostly naked tree. "I could probably climb to the top but at what cost? My dignity? My pride? It ruins my image."

"Dude c'mon, isn't it obvious? Girls drool over him all the time!" Mineta flops onto his bed carelessly, the textbook he should have been giving more attention laid carelessly over his face. "I'd kill to be a pretty boy! I mean c'mon he's got way too much going for him. Looks, brains and he's tall?! What doesn't the guy have?!" "..." Mineta's jaw lay slacked when he hears her, frame bobbing ever so slightly after being a little startled to hear someone walk in while he was covered in paint. When his eyes fall on Jirou he immediately softens, surprise melting into mild nerves and excitement. "You aren't bothering me!" He says it a little too quickly, eager to gesture towards his bed if she wanted to take a seat. "I'm not that busy, just trying to fight art block." Although suddenly, he has a feeling he may find new muse.

There's a silence that hangs over them, twisting around in his seat to look back at the blank canvas in front of him but feeling a little more pressure now that he had eyes watching him. An important pair of eyes watching him. Was she upset about something? Did something happen? He has a lot of questions but for once can't find the voice to ask them, afraid of scaring her off with his prying. Minutes pass of awkwardly shifting in his stool before he finally hops off to readjust his station wordless. Turning the position of his canvas in Jirou's direction so that he could look at her and paint at the same time.

" ... Is everything cool?" Mineta hoped that sounded casual enough to award him an answer and cool enough to keep her here. Situated back on his stool he finally began to sketch on his canvas, awaiting an answer.

A clear of his throat and he's ready to present his case. "The three hottest are definitely Yaoyorozu, Uraraka and Mido— Asui. " The mishap gives his cheeks a little color but he moves right on. "Not's pretty easy, any of the guys." Minus one, of course.

Complimenting her smile just felt like common sense. Rosie cheeks and a good smile were just a recipe for ogling and it may even be contagious. A few freckles and she would've been unstoppable. "You're the shy type?" He mutters, mostly to himself before the hand on his shoulder is accompanied with her own compliment that brightens his expression.  "C-Cute?! You think it's cute?!" Easy man, don't be swindled by a little praise! But he'd be lying if he said that didn't do wonders to his self esteem.
