Let’s check out a new band called 奶油貝狗咬 Butter Bagel Bites  =D

I think they are based in 基隆市 Keelung, formed this year, and the members all come from different bands. 瑀禾 Yuhe aka 貝吉娃娃-Voc (also in 倆人 Acoustic Too), 謝孟庭 MengtingXie aka 黑魔導盲犬-Keys/2nd Voc (fr. 瑪啡因 Maffine, 蕨鳴子 fernoiz), 陳奕 (aka 殷陽 Yin Yang, 殷陽 Yin Yang IG) aka 火柴犬-Gtr (fr. Wooden Man 木頭超人), 褚士銘 (aka 褚P Chu) aka 瑪爾祭司-Gtr (fr. 瑪啡因 Maffine, 蕨鳴子 fernoiz, GOTA) 

By the way, 蕨鳴子 fernoiz is an even newer band, I think they just formed in the fall, and have 2 songs so far - nothing posted yet.  張憶文 (OmOi) from GOTA/P!SCO/Shinex4 is also in that group)

殷陽 Yin Yang (on the right in the above video still) from BBB has been also performing/writing w/ 翁瑀禾 Yuhe in Acoustic Too. (They had different a guitarist before) This MV is from the Acoustic Too channel.

許瓊文 Wen Hsu-vocal & 張子慶 Ching-ac. guitar make up GoodBand. 

瑪啡因 Maffine are: 謝孟庭 MengtingXie-vocal, 吳姵蓁-drums, 陳冠豪 Guan-Hau Chen-bass, 褚士銘-elec. gtr (also in 鳳梨先生 Mr.Pineapple Band), and Ching-Hsien Huang 黃瀞嫻 aka 雪倫 Sharon-Keys/clarinet. (She’s listed in the credits, but I don’t think Sharon was actually with the band for this, she was finishing up school in the USA. She might be back in TW by now.??)

卻不能拯救你 (I Can Love You, But I Can't Save You) is a GoodBand song written by 許瓊文 Wen Hsu, and co-arranged for full band performance by both GoodBand & Maffine. and this video was from a concert at Legacy Taipei in February.  

Same combination will be at Legacy Taichung on May 26th.  Taichung peeps, make it full like it is in this selfie from Taipei:

This is a rare treat!  =D 

瑪啡因 Maffine and 好樂團 GoodBand joined forces a year ago in a concert at Legacy Taipei, and we did post a clip from that show; but this particular song (written by 張震嶽 ayal komod) was not released to the public until now. Lovely arrangement and blending of voices!

好樂團 GoodBand  are: 許瓊文 Wen Hsu-vocal, 張子慶 Ching-acoustic guitar.

瑪啡因 Maffine are: -謝孟庭 MengtingXie-voc/ac. gtr, 褚士銘-elec. gtr, Ching-Hsien Huang 黃瀞嫻 aka 雪倫 Sharon-keys/clarinet, 吳姵蓁-drums, 陳冠豪 Guan-Hau Chen-bass.

李心潔 Sinje Lee included 2 versions on her 2003 Man & Woman album, I’m not sure if this the remix or the original, but anyway, check it out:

New song from 瑪啡因 Maffine this is on their upcoming ep, I’m here waiting still.  Album release show is at The Wall on May 20th.  (Special guest is 好樂團 GoodBand -- that’s a nice double bill!)

The band has had some personnel changes since their last single in 2016, bringing in a new rhythm section of 吳姵蓁 on drums and 謝俊彥 (from Deca joins) on bass. Ching-Hsien Huang aka Sharon returned from her studies in the US, reunited with singer 謝孟庭 MengtingXie and guitarist 褚士銘.  

The song Firework is credited to the full band, and now I’m really psyched to hear the full release!  =D
