안개낀 듯한 무채색의 풍광
내용의 전반을 아우르는 고독
고독을 그리려는가 아니면 그는 고독한 사내였나
형태가 점차 단순화되고, 명암은 낮은 채도 앞에서 뭉근하다
억눌린 색들의 선별, 그들 간의 어울림
관통하는 것은 서정성
모든 사물을 포용하는 시간, 저무는 빛은 사건에 참견하지 않고 그저 아랑곳 없이 그 안으로 진입한다.

공중정원
김준은 특정 지역에 관한 연구와 소리에 대한 각별한 관심을 바탕으로 사람들이 쉽게 인지하지 못하는 영역을 가시화하고 우리를 둘러싼 환경에 대한 인식을 일깨우는 작업을 진행해 왔습니다. 이번 전시에서는 한국, 호주, 뉴질랜드 지역을 탐사하며 시공간의 소리와 생태 환경을 채집하고 재구성한 작품을 선보입니다. <흔들리고 이동하는 조각들>은 강원도 지질 공원의 암석 지형을 기반으로 한 작품으로 스트로마톨라이트와 같이 지구의 오랜 역사를 간직하고 있는 화석을 포함한 자연환경을 시청각적으로 펼쳐 보입니다. 돌 표면을 탁본하여 만든 사운드박스가 설치되고 공중에 매달린 스피커에서는 그 지역의 돌을 두드려 만든 소리가 흘러나옵니다. 관객은 스피커를 흔드는 방식으로 신체를 개입시켜 공감각적으로 작품을 경험하고 소리를 변화시킬 수 있습니다. 서랍 구조의 가구 형태로 전시되는 <굳어진 조각들>과 <공생>은 작가가 뉴질랜드 남섬과 호주 지역을 조사하며 직접 수집한 소리와 이미지 등으로 구성됩니다. 뉴질랜드의 특징적 암석과 호주에서 자생하는 식물들, 그리고 자연이 머금은 다채로운 소리들은 다양한 방식으로 박제 및 복제되어 아카이브 가구 속에 정교하게 배열되고 저장됩니다.

Based on his fascination with sound and research on specific regions, Kim Joon’s work visualizes realms that are not easily recognized, and raises awareness on environments that surround us. In this exhibition, Kim explores Korea, Australia, and New Zealand, collecting and reconstructing the sounds of different times and spaces and their ecological environments. Pendulate Pieces is based on the bedrock topography of Gangwon-do Geopark and presents an audio-visual portrayal of the natural environment, including fossils like Stromatolite which capture the long history of Earth. Kim’s installation includes sound boxes showing rubbings made on the surface of rocks, and speakers hanging in the air which resonate with sounds of tapping on the rocks in the areas of his visit. The audience can experience the work synesthetically and change the sound by physically intervening in the works and shaking the speakers. Exhibited in the form of a furniture with drawers, Hardened Pieces and Commensal consist of sounds and images collected by the artist himself while exploring the South Island of New Zealand and Australia. New Zealand's distinctive rocks, plants native to Australia, and nature's colorful sounds, are preserved and reproduced in various ways, meticulously organized and stored in the “archive furniture.”
