ASHJDAJSHWAAA THANK YOU FOR LIKING MY STUFF SO MUCH,, šŸ¤§ AND YOU THINK Iā€™M ADMIRABLE?? NO U šŸ«µ /pos /gen
KJFCGDF YES MUSICAL DUELS SOUND SO COOL BUT KINDA HILARIOUS AT THE SAME TIME,, But this actually brought a small idea to mind!! What if Beethoven and Mozart did a piano duel,, I think itā€™d be really cool to watch! Itā€™d be two musical geniuses going at each other- Mozart, on one hand, is undoubtedly a music prodigy and genius, and wrote whatā€™s estimated to be over 800 works. However, Beethoven is a master at improvisation, and heā€™s no slouch, either. And heā€™s got that perfect pitch šŸ‘ŒĀ  Mozart began composing at five. Beethoven started playing publicly at seven. So Iā€™m just imaging these two going absolutely ham on the keys,, Beethoven would find it an honour to duel against him, ngl
And unfortunately Auburn, I did it again,, I made an impulsive decision. I decided to make Picrews of Beethoven šŸ§ā€ā™‚ļøĀ
Not that many though!! Although, I did make a small compilation of different Picrews of him that I wanted to share,, šŸ‘‰ šŸ‘ˆĀ  (Also, I'm so sorry, but you're going to have to copy and paste the links if you want to see them,, Since I'm anonymous, links don't work- I'm hoping they work though!!)
https://i.postimg.cc/G3xgBVsN/241783-5r-TPl-J0n.png (First ever Picrew of Beethoven!)
https://i.postimg.cc/wB7TFf4p/404676-JWIe4-Rww.png (Trying to brush up his appearance 1/2)
https://i.postimg.cc/NG5CYWLX/625876-Pcdx7-O9k.png (Trying to brush up his appearance 2/2)
https://i.postimg.cc/90VBG7mv/1727751-r-I0-Ximtw.png (Hair down and no glasses)
https://i.postimg.cc/hjRvj8MR/514716-s-ATJKGUh.png (MC and Beethoven)
https://i.postimg.cc/k4CM9JXn/1906920-n-A3m-ZL2-G.png (I tried making him smile for once, cause heā€™s always usually frowning,,)
https://i.postimg.cc/SNmrR3xV/186583-RMCYjo-IY.png (Also tried a hand at making a Child Beethoven- he turned out way cuter than I expected!)
https://i.postimg.cc/tTDbjFM5/1855819-e55-Nxnez.png (My most favorite Picrew of Beethoven to be honest,, >v<)
Oh, and I just found out a not-that-fun fact,, So, you know Beethovenā€™s dad? I found one more reason to beat him up- So, Beethoven was born on December 1770. However, his father made him think that he was actually born in 1772, making Beethoven believe that he was younger than he actually was. When Beethovenā€™s first public performance happened, he was seven and a half years old, but his father announced to the public he was his ā€œlittle son of six years.ā€ (Six years old was actually when Mozart debuted for Empress Maria Theresia, and he wanted his son to be recognised as a child prodigy like him.) He wanted to make his son to be more in demand in the music circle. And Beethoven himself thought he was born in 1772 for a good portion of his life, too! He believed his fatherā€™s lie, and it was only when he was confronted by official papers by did he discover the truth.Ā
So, not only was he very abusive, Beethovenā€™s father lied about his age, both in public and even to his own son,, And he didnā€™t even tell the truth, either!
(I wonā€™t lie, this could actually be one of the foundations on why Beethoven hates dishonesty and lies,, Because the thing that made his music career catch attention was based on a lie, and he himself believed that lie for a good while,,)

YESS, MATCHMAKER TROPES ARE SO INTERESTING šŸ‘ Ngl, I was kind of nervous sending that one in kjfgndfkg-
So instead of doing school work like a normal human being, I decided to impulsively put together a whole bunch of concept voice lines/dialogue pieces for Ikevamp Beethoven šŸ§ And yes, I am very normal about him (This is a lie)
But before that!! Have some more details about him- (Ngl, I love how weā€™re both talking about an Ikevamp OC and Iā€™ve,, never played the game- Iā€™m gonna try and see some gameplay about it later though if I can kjfngdfh-)
-He has a coarse German accent
-I like to think heā€™d occasionally slip in a few German words here and there,, (is this a self-indulgent detail of mine? ,,Perhaps-)
-Despite being a composer, he actually canā€™t dance or sing! As he says, ā€œI can compose, thank God, but I canā€™t do one other thing on earth.ā€
-He did speak softly, but after he started to experience hearing problems, his voice shifted into something more louder
-The more angrier he gets, the more louder and thicker his accent gets-
-He speaks kinda formally, but again, heā€™s a Grumpā„¢, so he can be quite curt,,
-Fluent in German and English, can also speak Italian and French, and he does know some Latin!
-He always carries paper and a pen with him, just in case he gets inspired or has an idea for music
-Heā€™s,, kind of lonely?? He doesnā€™t have many friends given his sharp tongue and hot temper,,,
-Again, heā€™s partially deaf/has hearing problems, so heā€™s picked up the habit of lipreading. But heā€™d definitely appreciate it if you spoke louder to him (though, heā€™d definitely wouldnā€™t want anyone shouting at him)! Heā€™s gonna have trouble hearing you though if youā€™re like,, far across a room or something. Ngl, this led to me writing this-
MC, at one far end of the room: What was your childhood dream??
Beethoven, at the other end: What??
MC: What was your childhood dream??
Beethoven: ?? No, I like ice cream!
Dhjfbg Anyway,,! On to the voice lines, asdfgh-
Beethoven: Greetings, MC, my name is Ludwig van Beethoven. Any charm or taste I may have has been poured entirely into my compositions. Regarding myself, I am simply a freelance musician. That's all the introduction you need.
Beethoven: Social etiquette of Viennese aristocracy? Hah, itā€™s an endless subject. Shaking off commoners, behaving only in particular waysā€¦ It all demands carefully calculated courtesies that I find hard to conjure myself. Herr Comte de Saint Germain is a nobleman himself, is he not? Iā€™m sure he is more knowledgable on how noblemen and noblewomen behave than I.
Beethoven: My opinion on Napoleon Bonaparte? Hah! That ā€œemperor,ā€ that wretched snake, is nothing but a small, ordinary tyrant who tramples on human rights. Heā€™s a miserable blackguard, a godforsaken man with a puddle of poison for a heart! Heā€™s a beast in spite of his charms. No, lower than a beast. Stay far away from him, lest you get caught in any deception of his.Ā
[Note: ā€œSmall,ā€ he says,, Ikevamp Napoleon is 5ā€™8. Ikevamp Beethovenā€™s 5ā€™3, literally the shortest man in the cast,,]
Beethoven: Ah, MC. I was just about to go out on a walk through the forest. Forgive me, but I would like to go alone today. I need to sort out my thoughts.
Beethoven: ā€¦Ah-hah! Iā€™ve come up with a new melody! I must write this down immediately.
Beethoven: Watch that the notes in my pocket donā€™t spill out.
Beethoven: Iā€™ve written a new song. Would you like to hear?
Beethoven: Nothing is more intolerable than having to admit to yourself your own errors.
Beethoven: I love a tree more than a man.
Beethoven: My thoughts on Herr Mozart? Well, I have always greatly admired him, ever since I was a young boy. I regard myself as one of his greatest admirers. ā€¦Hm? Why do you seem surprised? I am capable of praise. ā€¦Pardon? Youā€™d think weā€™d see each other as ā€˜musical rivalsā€¦?ā€™ What a ridiculous thing to say. I donā€™t regard him as a rival at all. His music has qualities I wish to emulate, yes, but me and nobody else will ever be able to do anything like that.
Beethoven: I have never thought of writing for reputation and honor. What I have in my heart must come out; that is the reason why I compose.
Beethoven: Ach, was fĆ¼r eine Qual... Ah, MC. I didnā€™t hear you approach.
Beethoven, at Napoleon: Do you think I give a damn about you and your pathetic violin?
Beethoven: When I was younger, I had trouble keeping up with reading and writing more than other children. Thereā€™s a term for it now, I believeā€¦? Dyslexia, if Iā€™m correct. While I have gotten better at the subject, Iā€™ll admit, I do occasionally struggle. But in any case, I would rather write ten thousand notes than a single letter of the alphabet. Music comes to me more readily than words.
Beethoven: Ah, sehr gut, youā€™ve found my notes. Thank you, FraĆ¼lein MC.
Beethoven: My family? ā€¦They are not something I wish to talk about.
Beethoven: The amount of money one needs is terrifyingā€¦
Beethoven: Only the pure in heart can make a good soup. šŸ‘ŒĀ
Beethoven: Music can change the world. Yes, that is what I wholeheartedly believe.
Beethoven: When I first started developing my partial deafness, I was sent into a panic. The ringings in my ears were a telltale sign of what was to come. When my deafness started getting worse, I avoided social gatherings because it was impossible for me to say to people ā€œI have trouble hearing,ā€ or ā€œIā€™m going deaf.ā€ If I belonged in any other profession, it would be easier for me to say, but in my profession, it is a frightful state. I remember once I laid my head on my piano, desperately and loudly banging the keys just so I could hear what I was playing.
Beethoven: "Eine ungenĆ¼gende Leistungā€¦ā€ No, itā€™s fine, itā€™s just something I often heard when I was a boy. You can ignore it.Ā
[Translation: ā€œWhat an unsatisfactory performanceā€¦ā€ He may or may not be hinting a little at his father here,, who again, struck at Beethovenā€™s hands whenever he got a note wrong-]
Beethoven: I hear a musical genre known as ā€œjazzā€ was quite popular for a time. I've had the fortune to hear a few records. The free, unweighted playing style greatly amuses me. Perhaps I will try my hand at the genre someday.
[OKAY,, I DONā€™T KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY KIDS IN THE MANOR, BUT I REMEMBER THERE BEING A FLASHBACK INCLUDING CHILDREN,, AND THERE WAS AN IKEVAMP FIC INCLUDING KIDS,,, I feel like Iā€™m incredibly wrong though, so please correct me asdfgh)
Beethoven: I know of no more sacred duty than to educate a child. If any children wishes to learn piano, or any other instrument, you may send them to me, but I am a strict teacher. Iā€™m not one to release a student partway after he or she begins their studies.
Beethoven: I recommend being virtuous to the children. Virtue alone, and not money, can make one happy. I speak from experience. ā€¦It is my wish that they may have a better and freer life than I have had.
Beethoven: Vampire haben ein verbessertes Gehƶr und Sehvermƶgen...? Hah, was fĆ¼r ein grausamer Scherz, den Gott mir prƤsentiert. ā€¦No, no, it is nothing.Ā
[Translation: Vampires have enhanced hearing and vision...? Hah, what a cruel joke God is presenting to me.]
Beethoven: I value honesty and integrity above all else. One who lies is not pure of heart.
Beethoven: The foundation of friendship demands the greatest likeness of human souls and hearts. No friend have I. I live by myself alone; but I know well that God is nearer to me than others in my art, so I will walk fearlessly with Himā€¦ However, FraĆ¼lein MC, that is something you have changed, and I must thank you. You have been my first true friend. I shall never forget the days I spent with you. All I ask is that you continue to be my friend, as you will always find me yours.Ā
Beethoven: Now, off with you! Youā€™re a happy woman, youā€™ll give happiness and joy to many other people, and there is nothing better or greater than that.
Beethoven: In the world of art, as in the whole of creation, freedom and progress are the main objectives. Persevere, do not only practice your art, but endeavour also to fathom its inner meaning; it deserves this effort. For only art and science can raise men to the level of God. It demands that we shall not stand still.
Beethoven (this one is specifically aimed at you, Auburn šŸ«µ): What do I think of Herr Newton? I admire both his intellect and contributions to the sciences and mathematics. I donā€™t know him well, but whenever he starts to talk about his sciences, I can hardly keep up. Itā€™s not my forte. However, I do have great respect for him - he is the pioneer of his field. ā€¦Ah, I must ask, have you established a courtship with him yet? Was? Why do you look so shocked? You are trying to make your apparent interest in him quite clear, arenā€™t you?
Evil Beethoven be like: ā€œI hate Mozart.ā€ / ā€œI like Napoleon.ā€
Dghkjd I hope you enjoyed this!!

HDBFGJD YES WE SHALL BEAT UP BEETHOVENā€™S DAD TOGETHER šŸ‘ŠšŸ’„ And phew, Iā€™m glad I was kinda right about there being kids mncvbmfg-
And yes, Beethoven and MC as friends!! šŸ‘ He would absolutely dedicate a piece to them- Heā€™d probably title it something like ā€œThe Beginnings of Friendship: Bagatelleā€
I was cackling reading your commentary- I love your enthusiasm!!
Ngl, I was supposed to stop there at the dialogue pieces for Beethoven, but then I accidentally stumbled upon character cards for Ikevamp charactersā€¦ And you know what I had to do šŸ§ Yeah, I made a whole mock character card for him- (Only in text though- I donā€™t have any editing programs-)
~~~
Ludwig van Beethoven
The Fiery Maestro
Intense and emotional, the prodigy began playing in public at seven years old. He usually spends his days in the mansionā€™s garden or music room, thinking of new melodies. Despite his hot temper and sharp tongue, thereā€™s a sense of loneliness hidden in him.
Birthday: December 16 [Fun fact: We actually donā€™t know the real Beethovenā€™s birthday,, he was baptised on December 17, so itā€™s generally assumed he was born the day before.]
Height: 162 cm
Occupation: Composer, freelance musicianĀ
Hobbies: Hiking through nature, billiards, card games
Dislikes: Dishonesty, lying
Specialty: Musical improvisation
Weaknesses: Cooking, math
Favourite food: Macaroni and Cheese
Hated food: N/A (Food is little more than sustenance to him. He doesnā€™t really care for it; if somethingā€™s meant to be edible, heā€™ll eat it. Though, he does prefer more simple dishes)
Vampiric Type: Lesser Vampire [Iā€™ll be honest, Iā€™m not sure whatā€™s the deal with vampiric types, so Iā€™m kind of going off of what Iā€™ve read and pure vibes-]
ā€œTo tremble in my music is your honour.ā€Ā
~~~
Ikevamp Beethoven šŸ¤ This Clavis Ikepri fellow
-Makes the most horrendous soup known to mankind
Jhbdfg But yeah!! Beethoven is straight up a horrible cook,, I actually made a mini scenario based off of this; One time, he was assigned to make dinner for everyone, and uhā€¦ The results were less than optimal- Beethoven spent almost two hours in the kitchen, huddled in front of a stove wearing a blue apron, and dinner was served. He made soup, which Doyle later could only describe was ā€œmore suited for charitable scraps given to dogs outside taverns.ā€ The beef he did was half done, better suited for an animal. Vegetables floated in the ā€™soup,ā€™ which was a mixture of water and grease, and the roasted meat looked like it was done in the chimney.Ā
Of course, no one could say anything about it, because if they did, Beethoven would literally, viciously, mercilessly tear them apart, mostly verbally. (The last time he got really angry, he stormed off to the music room, banged on the piano for like thirty minutes [creating the loudest half hour of everyoneā€™s life], and six piano strings were broken as a result.) So they just kept their heads low and tried to eat. They couldnā€™t do it. It was barely possible to even choke down a few bites, so they just stuck to the bread and fruit he provided.
He was never assigned to cook dinner ever again.
Vincent, about Beethoven: Whenever I hear such a man march behind me, I canā€™t help but get nervous. Heā€™s a force to be reckoned with, for sure!
Doyle, about Beethoven: I like his music, no doubt about that. But, it seems like he conducts his music better than his own temper.
Oh, and one more thing about Beethoven!! You know how Beethovenā€™s speciality in musical improvisation? Thatā€™s not an exaggeration- Both the Ikevamp Beethoven and the real figure are actually really good at it-
[Note: Yes, this is based off an actual event]
Beethoven: Daniel Steibelt? ā€¦Hah! I havenā€™t heard that name in a long time. Yes, I remember him quite well. He once challenged me to a piano duel, where we both had to improvise.Ā
MC: An piano duel?
Beethoven: Yes, though, to be more accurate, they were improvisation contests. These contests were a popular form of entertainment in Viennaā€™s aristocracy. One nobleman would support one virtuoso pianist, another nobleman would support the other. In the salon of one of the nobles, the two pianists would compete with each other, each setting the other a tune to improvise on, and the playing would go back and forth until a victor was decided.
Beethoven: But I digress. It was agreed that Prince Lobkowitz would sponsor Steibelt and Prince Lichnowsky would sponsor me. The improvisation contest would take place in Lobkowitz's palace.
Beethoven: Steibelt played first. He went to the piano, tossed a piece of his own music on the side and played. Steibelt was renowned for conjuring up a ā€˜stormā€™ on the piano, and I must admit, he did this to great effect. He received great applause, and it was my turn to play.
Beethoven: I picked up the music piece Steibelt tossed aside, his own work, and then I turned the paper upside down. I played that piece, sight-reading it backwards and I improvised, imitating and picking apart Steibeltā€™s so-called ā€˜storm.ā€™ I played for more than an hour, and I didnā€™t notice that Steibelt left after only thirty minutes of my playing.Ā
MC: He left before you finished?
Beethoven: Indeed. After he left, Prince Lobkowitz, the man sponsoring Steibelt, then said to me that he was so humiliated that he would never set foot in Vienna again as long as I lived there. What a foolish thing to promise.Ā
[And ngl, it was kinda foolish! Beethoven lived in Vienna for the rest of his life, and true to his word, Steibelt never returned. Oh, but Beethoven actually played the first four notes of Steibeltā€™s piece before varying themā€¦ Those four notes would then become the impetus that drove Beethovenā€™s Third Symphony. That feels like rubbing salt in the wound at that point,,]

Aaaaa and I donā€™t mind your responses to my long writings!! /gen Iā€™m just happy that youā€™re reading them in the first place kdjfgkdffgā€” But please give your hands a rest-
Speaking of Ikevamp OCs!! Admittedly, I donā€™t know much about Freud, Salieri or Chaloner (from the other reblog posts), so I decided to look into them if I have the time >:D I MIGHT give a history lesson about them later--
Iā€™ve also tried to make a comprehensible list of characteristics/things weā€™ve already got about Beethoven (who *cough* is already like,, half an OC if you squint-) And Iā€™ve added some things of my own. As of right now, his Ikevamp self:
-Is headstrong, strong-willed, and proud
-Is impulsive, independent, and has a short temper
-Is a Grumpy Old Manā„¢ with Grandpa Tendenciesā„¢ /aff
-Has a sharp tongue for insults and comebacks
-Values honesty, integrity, and virtue. He hates liars
-Really respects Mozart and hates Napoleon (lol-)
-Not afraid to speak his opinion, so if he doesnā€™t like you, you WILL know-
-Likes macaroni-and-cheese. I wonā€™t elaborate. /J
-Loves walks in the forest and nature in general! He enjoys taking hikes, itā€™s a hobby of his :D During these walks, heā€™s able to clear his head and be inspired by the beauty of nature. He takes a walk around, even if the weather is bad. There was a time where he circled around in a park for hours, humming and composing in his head in pouring rainā€¦
-If he ever were in the game, maybe he would be partially deaf?? Or at least have some hearing problems to pay homage to the real figureā€”
-Is pretty short,, Heā€™s 5ā€™3/162cm, so heā€™s grumpy AND short. The best combination /j /lh
-Doesnā€™t care about status. He was well-received by the Viennese aristocracy but he wasnā€™t subservient to them; rather, he regarded them as equals. So, he doesnā€™t see anyone above him or beneath him.
-His family is a touchy subject. For one, his father was an alcoholic, and he tried to exploit Ludwig as a child prodigy, wanted to make him the next Mozart. His father, also a professional singer, was a harsh teacher, "Every time Ludwig hit a sour note, his father's hands came crashing down on his son's with a loud, discordant thwack,ā€ one writer states. He actually had eight siblings and was the second oldest, but only he and two younger brothers made it to adulthood. He deeply cares for his brothers, even though he didnā€™t approve of their wives- He and his sister-in-law Johanna Reiss hated each other, and he didnā€™t like his youngest brotherā€™s mistress who would later marry him.)
-Is unlucky in love (Yes, sadly for the real Beethoven, he was pretty unfortunate in terms of romance- Beethoven first fell in love with a young countess named Julie [ā€œGiuliettaā€] Guicciardi in 1801, but could not marry her because he was a commoner. His famous Piano Sonata No. 14, ā€œMoonlight,ā€ is dedicated to her. A few years later he met and fell in love with Josephine Brunswick, another countess, after he began giving her piano lessons. They would write a series of love letters, of which 15 by Beethoven survive, until her family pressured them to terminate the relationship. He was a hopeless romantic and fell in love many times, who in turn, got rejected each time. Though, it was mainly because of class divisions and marital statuses. He never married.)
I actually read the love letters he sent, and to my surprise, theyā€™re,,, incredibly romantic?! Like legit, love letters are very private things to read in the first place, but even when I was reading his letters, I was like ā€œShould I really be reading theseā€¦?ā€ Asdfghjklā€” His most famous love letter is the one called ā€œThe Immortal Beloved.ā€
Iā€™m gonna give you some extracts from these love letters that I found really sweet- I hope you donā€™t mind!!
ā€œMy thoughts go out to you, my Immortal Beloved I can only live wholly with you or not at all-
Be calm my life, my all. Only by calm consideration of our existence can we achieve our purpose to live togetherā€¦ Oh, do continue to love me, never misjudge the most faithful heart of your beloved.
Ever Thine, Ever Mine, Ever Ours.
-L.ā€
ā€œBeat only in silence, oh poor heart, you cannot do otherwise. For you, always for you, only you, eternally you, only you until I die. My solace, my everything. Oh Creator, watch over her, bless her days, all the adversity upon me first.ā€
ā€œMy angel, my very selfā€¦ Why this profound sorrow, when necessity speaks ā€” can our love endure without sacrifices, without our demanding everything from one another; can you alter the fact that you are not wholly mine, that I am not wholly yours? ā€” Dear God, look at Nature in all her beauty and set your heart at rest about what must be ā€” Love demands all, and rightly soā€¦ No doubt we shall meet soon; and today also time fails me to tell you of the thoughts which during these last few days I have been revolving about my life ā€” If our hearts were always closely united, I would certainly entertain no such thoughts. My heart overflows with a longing to tell you so many things ā€” Oh ā€” there are moments when I find that speech is quite inadequate ā€” Be cheerful ā€” and be for ever my faithful, my only sweetheart, my all, as I am yours. The gods must send us everything else, whatever must and shall be our fate.Ā
ā€”Your faithful Ludwigā€
ā€œWhat a life!!! As it is now!!! without you ā€” pursued by the kindness of people here and there, a kindness that I think ā€” that I wish to deserve just as little as I deserve it ā€” manā€™s homage to man ā€” that pains me ā€” and when I consider myself in the setting of the universe, what am I and what is that man ā€” whom one calls the greatest of men ā€” and yet ā€” on the other hand therein lies the divine element in manā€¦ However much you love me ā€” my love for you is even greater ā€” but never conceal yourself from me ā€” good night ā€” Dear God ā€” so near! so far! Is not our love truly founded in Heaven ā€” and, what is more, as strongly cemented in the firmament of heaven?ā€
ā€œEven when I am in bed my thoughts rush to you, my immortal beloved, now and then joyfully, then again sadly, waiting to know whether Fate will hear our prayer ā€” To face life I must live altogether with you or never see youā€¦ Oh God, why must one be separated from her who is so dear. Yet my life in V[ienna] at present is a miserable life ā€” Your love has made me both the happiest and unhappiest of mortalsā€¦ā€
So, heā€™s a grump, but heā€™s actually really romantic in nature,,, A romantic grump if you will
Oh, on another note!! I tried to make a Picrew for a concept appearance, and I actually kinda like what I came up with! The Picrewā€™s really close to what I had in mind, but maybe I might try to draw him someday??

And a quick description of what I had in mind for his appearance!!
-Heā€™s short, but his aura, appearance and demeanour make him give off the vibe that heā€™s taller
-Wavy middle-length to long length darkish-brown hair he keeps in a low ponytail
-He wears a red jacket! Admittedly, while the colour is a tie-in to the red of the German flag, I feel like it makes him stand out more,, He dresses up very modestly
-Piercing blue eyes framed by round glasses (Ngl, I debated giving him half-moon glasses, but I went with round ones-)
-Overall, he looks pretty stern and intimidating
