i’d call the hex crystals “cute little blue raspberry jolly ranchers” and he’s so caught off guard by that statement it takes him a few seconds to process. and then he’d laugh “i guess they do look a bit like candy... though i wouldn’t recommend eating these, the taste is pretty... explosive”

later he goes to jayce grabs him by the shoulders and his eyes are big and shiny when he tells him “this girl calls them candy. these crystals tap into the fabric of reality becoming a magical power source and what does she have to say about it?? she calls them jolly ranchers. i have never felt this way before. my heart is beating so fast it’s almost like there’s butterflies in my chest”
