Caitlyn couldn't help the surge of adrenaline that coursed through her body as she rushed down to Vi. Somehow she looked away for one second and the woman had tumbled down. After asking how many fingers were up, her face dropped a little. "Uh...no," She quietly said and put her three fingers down. Being one finger off wasn't too alarming, right? Maybe in most cases but Vi had quite a fall just now. "You were close though." Caitlyn put a hand out to keep Vi from standing up and moved to sit beside her. "How do you feel? Is your vision splotchy? Do you feel nauseous? Is your head spinning?"
Caitlyn let out a breath and reached out to gently hold the back of Vi's head but she made her touch soft in case there was a bump growing or if there was any blood. "Be careful next time," She lightly scolded and pulled her hand away when she felt something sticky on her hand. "Shit, Vi," Caitlyn sighed and moved to put her hand on the wound again. "We need to patch this wound up as soon as possible. You must take head injuries or any injuries for that matter seriously."

i’d love to know where you feel caitlyn’s kindness comes from and how she was able to keep it when being raised in a place like Piltover. 😘
Tumblr media
Okay, so I usually answer these with Caitlyn but this one seems more like a meta of my view of how I write her so ^_^
Caitlyn's kindness stems naturally from herself. The wild thing is, Caitlyn could have grown up to be like any other Piltovan child. Many I don't doubt are arrogant, pretentious, and believe they are better due to position/status/money, etc… I mean, we see that in the way Salo and Hoskel carry themselves, and even Cassandra shows traits of such things like the way she calls Vi "A stray" like she also, too, has an air of arrogance that she is better then certain people.
So Caitlyn could have grown up to reflect a lot of these terrible traits that Piltover cultivates and encourages in the position between lower and high house and in turn the major imbalance of power between Piltover and Zaun.
However, I like to think a lot of Caitlyn's development stems from Grayson. Even that brief scene we see form Grayson has Grayson quietly pushing Caitlyn in certain morality views. She never tells Caitlyn what to think, but she gives her morality questions.
"Begs to question, young Kiramman, what are you shooting for,"
So in my canon, Grayson wasn't just there for that shooting competition, Grayson is a close friend of the Kiramman household so I have it that Grayson is Caitlyn's godmother. She is far more involved in Caitlyn's life then her own mother at times. Grayson is the one who taught Caitlyn humility and how to respect people. Just because she is of high household, does not give her a right to treat other people poorly. Grayson lead her carefully, providing morality questions to allow Caitlyn to grow in her own choices and believes.
"Do you believe your position provides you a standard to live by, or a standard to help others?" "Little Lamb, look out there. What do you see? Look at the people, watch them. What can you notice?" "Caitlyn, sometimes its not enough to see. You have to listen. Are your ears open?"
Grayson is always seeking to cultivate in Caitlyn someone who looks out for people, to see them not as money, tools, or people who are to be controlled. She wants her to empathize with people, to see their struggles and their joys. She also was trying to ensure that Caitlyn watched out not just for people but herself. Keeping her eyes open and to see things that everyone else misses.
She encouraged kindness and empathy because without those, Caitlyn could not possible help people she wanted to. Grayson I think saw a part of herself in Caitlyn. That drive, that ingeniuty, and that want to serve and protect. Grayson wasn't shaping her to be an enforcer, she was trying to guide her in the means of being a protector. without kindness and empathy, Caitlyn would grow bitter and cold and become part of the corruption that Piltover often revolves around in.
Now pass that to her adult years.
Caitlyn has always deemed herself a misfit. She doesn't fit in with the other kids and adults, not just because of her empathy but because she isn't a manipulative deceiver who is looking to get more for herself. So Caitlyn, often times, while she couldn't help like she wanted to at first, would often be kind to those who needed it. A small child that might have been crying at a festival, or an elderly woman who needed help that everyone else ignored. She kept her eyes open to those who needed reassurance, or even a small moment to be seen and heard. Caitlyn understands invisibility far more then anyone else, she doesn't feel visible to most people so if she sees someone who needs a bit of kindness, she gives it. these simple but small acts provide Caitlyn a view of someone who smiles back, says thank you, or just looks as if their day was made.
"One simple act of kindness sends a ripple effect across time,"
To see how her Kindness impacts people, even as simple as just touching their shoulder and giving them assistance in some way, shows Caitlyn that Grayson was right. Sometimes the best thing she can do is give someone a smile and show them that she sees them and is there to help.
So despite the harshness of Piltover and their corrupted standards and even the violence in Zaun; Caitlyn learns to look for the light in the dark. She looks for the beauty in the dim light. She watches people and sees what's going on, and even Zaun has beauty within the alleys and bloody roads. She keeps my mind open and finds what many others might blinded to.
She holds onto these things, often leaning on a lot of Grayson's teachings because they really shaped how she views the world and how she's developed her own way of thinking.
Kindness is not a weakness. empathy, in Caitlyn's eyes, is her greatest strength.

Caitlyn, after all, that transpires with the enforcers, how restrictive her time was under them, and the fact that corruption leaked into the very halls that were once supposed to protect people, Grayson's words echoed in her mind.
"Begs to question young Kiramman. what are you shooting for?"
She wasn't taking the job as an enforcer to fire a gun or to learn criminal law. She didn't learn to kill people or to threaten those in the undercity. None of these things were what she joined the enforcers for and her time in the undercity, away from the enforcers and handling things on her terms with her power and intelligence made her realize what she was truly wanting to be.
A protector. Not an enforcer. She did not carry the rifle and wear the uniform to enforce the law and hurt people. She was a protector of the people, searching for answers, seeking the truth where all others might cover it up. Whether it was the government or law enforcement, she realized what she needed to do is pull away from this.
She had to be her kind of fighter.
This is why she becomes a Private Detective, seeking out the truth where others might not see it. She might work as a consultant for the enforcers, but she will never be under their thumb to be told what to do and how to do it. Her natural abilities let her see things that anyone else will miss and as a private detective, she has no one telling her how to do her job but herself. She works by her morals and does not need to be a threat to people; she wants to be a beacon to them.
This also allows her to work in both Piltover and Zaun. She helps every one, no matter their status or position, no matter how rich or poor they are. She knows who she is and she will not be a puppet of any government or affiliation. She is her own person fighting for the right to truth and protection.

Hi! I love your arcane analysis sm! Any thought about Caitlyn's meta would you like to share? I'm so starved anything meta/long post about Arcane lol >.<
Hello anon!
Thank you for your nice words!
Well, I would say that Caitlyn is clearly going to become Grayson’s true ideological heir and is a positive foil to Marcus.
Like Marcus she is introduced as a young Enforcer, but while Marcus is guided by Grayson, Caitlyn is disregarded by Marcus himself.
Moreover, Marcus is full of disdain for the people in the underground and this is how he is easily tricked by Silco into forming a twisted version of Grayson and Vander’s alliance to preserve the balance. The difference is obviously that Grayson and Vander were two partners trying to protect their respective cities. Silco and Marcus instead are just trying to protect their own interests.
Caitlyn and Vi are clearly going to become the third generation of partners. One enforcer and one criminal from Zaun joining forces for the sake of the two cities. This is even highlighted by Caitlyn freeing Vi from the prison Marcus closed her in as his only “act of pity”.
Through her journey into the Underground City Caitlyn tries to understand the people she meets, even if different from her and gets to understand them a little better:
Caitlyn: You know what else reflects on the Council? It’s citizens living on the streets. Being poisoned. Having to choose between a kingpin who wants to exploit them and a government that doesn’t give a shit.
In short, she manages to understand her role of Enforcer better. As a child she crearly idealizes it:
Grayson: I’m an enforcer. For me knowing how to handle this weapon means being able to protect people. To be of service to the city. And that’s trophy enough. Begs the question, young Kiramman. What are you shooting for?
As an adult she gets to see even its darkest parts:
Caitlyn: What, you don’t have parents?
Vi: No! They were killed by enforcers.
Anyway, clearly her story is intertwined with that of Vi and she is clearly juxtaposed to Jinx. Like, both girls are brought respectively down (Cait) and up (Powder) by Vi. They go to the other city to look for a crystal and are the two antagonistic forces pulling Vi to different sides of the river.
In future seasons Cait and Vi’s relationship will probably keep to grow. Their relationship is basically a glimps of hope for the two cities’ future because we have two people with opposite origins and backgrounds that try to overcome their respective prejudices for the sake of the other. As for now, I think that only another relationship has the potential to do something similar:
Tumblr media
Ekko and Heimerdinger’s chance meeting happens symbolically on the bridge (the same bridge Jinx has symbolically burnt) and I hope it will lead to something positive for both characters. It is also telling that in both relationships the most priviledged one is ready to go down and see what Zaun really is like (which is something that it is initially missing from the Jayce and Viktor’s dynamic... we’ll see where we go there).

Please open this site in desktop mode in order to view the site as intended. The mobile site is different and has less pages for you to view.
Before reading the analysis, there is a character background page in this site of Caitlyn and Vi that are available to read optionally. These are taken from the official League of Legends site and wiki. You can read them in the links below:
Caitlyn’s Character Background and Vi’s Character Background
To continue reading the analysis, click on the link below.
Act 1: Their Childhoods
Tumblr media
“Begs the question, young Kiramman. What are you shooting for?”  - Sheriff Grayson, Caitlyn’s mentor, to Caitlyn, during their friendly shooting competition
Caitlyn Kirraman was born into the Kirramans, a prominent, wealthy, and ruling family of Piltover. Her mother, Cassandra Kirraman, is a member of the Council of Piltover and Zaun. In a sense, she is as close to royalty in the city, and consequently, is expected to have a certain reputation being upheld.
Tumblr media
“She’d (Cassandra Kiramman) do anything to keep me from seeing the real world”  - Caitlyn Kiramman
Due to her sheltered upbringing, Caitlyn has always had the option to accept a life of luxury with an easy life, such as having a desk job working for the Council. However, Caitlyn is different in that she desires to prove her worth not because it was handed to her, but an as someone who is able to earn her worth with her own capabilities, something that is different to the high society of Piltover. This leads to Caitlyn to joining the Enforcers (the city’s police force), much to the dismay of her mother.
Tumblr media
“Those kids look up to you. When people look up to you, you don’t get to be selfish. You say run. They run. You say swim. They dive. You say light a fire. They show up with oil. But whatever happens, it’s on you.” - Vander, Vi’s adoptive father
Contrary to Caitlyn, Vi’s upbringing is completely the opposite. During an uprising against Piltover, Vi witnessed the death of her parents in the hands of the enforcers. She then became the role model of her adoptive brothers and biological sister, and was given a large responsibility over them by their adoptive father, Vander. Vi grew up knowing the realities of Zaun, the abuse of enforcers to the lowly Zaunites, and how the world to her exists as a dog eat dog world.
Tumblr media
“You’ve got a good heart. Don’t ever lose it, no matter how the world tries to break you.” - Vander to Vi, before being taken away by the Enforcers
During the events of Act 1, in order to protect her family, Vi takes responsibility to be arrested by the enforcers for the destruction of a Piltover building. Vander, however, took her place, but was consequently kidnapped by Silco, the show’s main antagonist, and is eventually killed along with Vi’s brothers. Afterwards, Vi gets kidnapped by Sheriff Grayson’s successor and unintentionally abandons Powder, her sister, who is then taken in by Silco as his own daughter. Vi ends up in Stillwater Prison, detained without any charges against her.
Act 2: Their Meeting and Character Analysis of Virtues
Tumblr media
“In what mad world would I trust someone like you?” - Caitlyn, to Vi, before releasing her from Stillwater Prison
Caitlyn possesses the virtue of Justice. She has always been firm to do good, and to be good not just for the people of Piltover, but also for the people of Zaun. As an enforcer, Caitlyn truly believes that this is her best way to do good and to genuinely help people of the two cities. Witnessing the corruption and existence of shimmer (an addictive drug) that is rampant in Zaun, Caitlyn takes it upon herself to investigate these anomalies within the force. Caitlyn shows communitive justice to the cities with her dedication to bring the truth to people.
In Act 2, Caitlyn she meets Vi and releases her from Stillwater because of Vi’s knowledge to Zaun’s ruling chem baron, Silco. However, while Vi was a lead that Caitlyn needed in order to further her investigation, she also noticed the injustices that Vi had faced and realized that Vi had been abused in the hands of enforcers while also being innocent, furthering her willingness to work with the inmate. While initially hesitant to trust Vi, the pair eventually warm up to each other after facing adversities in their investigations together in Zaun. Instead of treating Vi like what every enforcer does to Zaunites, Caitlyn tries her best to treat Vi fairly, saving her life multiple times, and even giving up her rifle in the dangerous undercity in order to stay by her side.
Tumblr media
“You know what else reflects on the Council? Its citizens living on the streets. Being poisoned. Having to choose between a kingpin who wants to exploits them and a government that doesn’t give a shit.” - Caitlyn, to her mother and councilwoman, on the situation between Piltover and Zaun
Caitlyn’s weakness in her virtues is Prudence. Because she lived a sheltered life, Caitlyn was not aware of the atrocities that the enforcers commit to Zaunites. Being raised in Piltover, on the other hand, Caitlyn sees that the high society has always been a place of schemes and lies. Caitlyn’s upbringing makes her naïve of what the world truly is, and all she knows is that she does not want to be trapped in that very essence of Piltover. At the start of their partnership, Caitlyn makes assumptions on Zaun and Vi, asking her where her parents are, but finds out that Vi is apparently an orphan killed by enforcers. Similarly, Caitlyn thinks that she can simply get anything from someone without giving something up-- a reflection of her spoiled upbringing Piltover.
After time together, she learns from Vi and her city first hand, witnessing the what the dynamics of the two cities are, something that she has always wanted to see. Vi helps Caitlyn ground herself on the realties of society and helps her realize the inequality that Zaunites face. Seeing how Vi has been the honest, direct, and raw person to Caitlyn, she places her full trust on Vi, unlike the scheming people of Piltover. With prudence, Caitlyn learns the meaning of what it is to be an enforcer and figure out her own identity as a person. In effect, she answers what Sheriff Grayson’s questions to her as a young child on what she truly is shooting for-- to not just serve and protect the citizens of the two cities, but to know and act in accordance to what is the good and recognize the inherent dignity of every person.
Tumblr media
“You enforcers are all the same. Just asshole criminals in fancy uniforms.” - Vi, to Caitlyn, before being released from Stillwater Prison
Despite her differences, Vi also possesses the virtue of Justice. For 6 years, Vi has been detained in solitary confinement in Stillwater Prison. She spends most of her time there thinking about her little sister Powder, and how she would be able to leave Stillwater in order to find her and face Silco for the chaos he has done to Zaun. Since she was a child, Vi has been aware of how enforcers and topsiders (people from the city of Piltover) have wrongfully treated her loved ones, and wants to fight for the rights of oppressed people of Zaun. In order to accomplish her goals, she must face Silco, the ruling chem baron of the underground.
Because of her natural distrust of enforcers and topsiders, Vi initially does not show any willingness to work with Caitlyn. However, after seeing how Caitlyn is different and is sincere in trying to bring justice to the people of Zaun and Piltover and shows Vi kindness and respect, Vi makes a change of heart and starts to trust her more as the story progresses. Being with Caitlyn helps Vi realize that is still humanity left in Piltover, and that there are people who are still genuinely trying to do good to both cities. Together, with shared goals, they make a case in front of the council, and implore the leaders to find a solution to deal with Silco.
Tumblr media
“We tried, okay? It wasn’t enough. Topside (Piltover) and Bottom (Zaun). Oil and Water. That’s all there is.“ - Vi, to Caitlyn, after the inaction of the Council to address the problem in Zaun.
Vi’s weakness in her virtues is Fortitude. In one particular scene, Vi opens up to Caitlyn about her leaving her younger sister, Powder, behind. She tells her that she ran away from the “monsters” that was chasing her sister, and that she abandoned her all alone. Vi’s fear of losing her loved ones result to her to leaving them. Her way of protecting them from her and her misfortune is running away from them. This can be seen when she leaves Powder when she goes to save Vander from Silco, telling her to stay behind because she was all she had and that she could not lose her. Similarly, after 6 years, she once again leaves Caitlyn alone after the plan on convincing the Council fails. Vi does not have the courage to stay with her loved ones, because she fears that she will be the one responsible for their suffering. Leaving Caitlyn in Act 2 results to Vi taking initiative to challenge Silco alone, and it leads to many lives lost when she sought to take down one of his shimmer factories.
Before being killed, Vander reminded Vi to always keep her good heart, no matter how horrible the world is to her. Being locked up in Stillwater in solitary and growing up in the crime ridden streets of Zaun has definitely affected how Vi deals and trusts people, especially those who reside in topside. It is then natural for Vi to push out people she cares for. Caitlyn helps Vi overcome her weakness in Fortitude by being the one to preserve her caring heart. She proves Vi wrong with her view on topsiders. Moreover, she teaches Vi to have the courage to trust in people again, and in turn, be courageous enough to chase her own monsters away and pursue the right path, which potentially leads to less death and tragedy.
Act 3: Oil and Water? Their Alternative Ending
Tumblr media
“Make her (Caitlyn) go away. Please.“ - Jinx to Vi, asking to her to kill Caitlyn. Caitlyn is viewed as Jinx’s monster throughout the series. She pleads Vi to chase her away just like when they were children, where Vi promises to protect her from her monsters.
During Act 3, an abandoned Caitlyn ponders how she could have made Vi stay with her when they parted ways. She then gets kidnapped by Jinx, the new alias of Powder, because of her ties with Vi. Jinx essentially possesses abandonment issues (because she was unintentionally left alone by Vi in Act 1) and is afraid that Vi has chosen to replace Jinx with Caitlyn. Vi consequently also gets kidnapped and is forced to choose between Caitlyn or Jinx. Tempers flare and at the end of Act 3, Jinx embraces her new persona and bombs the Council building. Caitlyn and Vi both survive, but Caitlyn also sees first hand that her mother will most likely perish in the Council bombing. Vi again becomes what she fears the most, which is unable to protect Caitlyn and bring more misfortune around others. This still happens even though she leaves her alone, thinking that disassociating with her will lead to Jinx leaving Caitlyn be.
Tumblr media
Photo above: An older Sheriff Caitlyn and Enforcer Vi in the video game, Legends of Runeterra: Path of Champions, after solving the Case of “C” in the game as partners.
In this alternative ending with developed virtues by both Caitlyn and Vi, the goal is to stay together and work out a solution to find another way to not just bring down Silco’s shimmer empire, but to also capture Jinx in order to save her from her delusions. Caitlyn, with a developed prudence, would know the exact words to say to Vi, pleading her to stay. Caitlyn thinks deeply about this action in the show, as she does not even notice Jinx attempting to kidnap her because she was so focused on replaying the events of Vi leaving her, pondering on she should have said. Vi, having a developed fortitude, would choose to stay with Caitlyn instead of leaving her alone, because she feared she would lose another loved one. She would have the courage to face her adversities with Caitlyn together, forming a team of what Piltover and Zaun should be: two cities, dependent on each other, both aiming for prosperity.
The conclusion to Arcane Season 1 ends when Jinx fires a rocket to the council. However, it is confirmed that Vi will join the enforcers because of her trust in Caitlyn as the Sheriff, as seen in the games of League of Legends and Legends of Runeterra. Season 2 will most likely explore that dynamic, as the teaser still suggests that Vi is adamant on facing her problems alone, while Caitlyn still tries to reach out to her to work together. In the end, both women will find a way to trust each other, grow better together, and overcome their weaknesses by staying together. Dubbed as Piltover’s Finest in League of Legends, the two grow to become into Piltover’s best crime fighting duo, facing criminals together as partners.
Closing Notes

“It’s not enough to give people what they need to survive, you have to give them what they need to live.” - Ekko
Thank you for reading the analysis! I’m really glad I was able to write about Arcane, as it was one of my favorite shows of 2021. Even if you’re not a League of Legends fan, the series itself was made with so much love and careful thought out in plot, animation, and dialogue that it can be watched by anyone. There’s so many quotable quotes!!!! I just absolutely love everything about this show and highly recommend anyone to watch it. There’s so many details to analyze further among the different characters.
I initially wanted to write about Silco, one of my favorite villains in media, but to be honest, it was difficult to identify his virtues among the 4 cardinal virtues hahaha. Viktor was also an option because he made so many good quotes in the series and is an interesting character to analyze on how he eventually turns into a villain. Unfortunately, his story arc in Arcane is still not fully fleshed out. We only know he becomes into a villain due to his current lore in the video games. It is, however, expected to be developed further in season 2 around 2023.
Hope you also like the site I was able to build! Thank you to Magnus Themes for the template to this site. The credit links all redirect to their website as well.
Anyways, enough of me rambling. Thank you ma’am for the spending the term with us! Thank you for the learnings and insights after every module, and for always showing concern to us students especially because our accounting classes are extremely tiring and draining hahaha. We really, really appreciate you a lot! Hope to see you f2f in the future!

Being an enforcer was a sham. Caitlyn found out the hard way. All those years idolizing them, believing their good deeds, their courage, their dedication to the idea of being heroes when in reality, they were the opposite. They were like evil henchmen, serving a corrupt dictator (Marcus, the current sheriff) who had a connection to an even more corrupt party, the leader of Zaun. Marcus had besmirched the name of the sheriff, the heroics of Grayson, and the enforcers as a whole. How could anyone stomach the deception? How could they be the people Piltover trusted to protect them? Where was their nobility.
Caitlyn soon found out that if she wanted to make a difference in the world, she's had to go A-wall. With the help of Jayce, Caitlyn had him construct a super suit that served as both armor and a slight ability enhancer that would help her move quicker and punch harder with the power of hex gems. However, those were just precautions. She equipped herself with a rifle, one stronger than the ordinary rifle. Instead of bullets, it shot out blasts of hex energy, something Jayce himself had crafted and though it was experimental, Caitlyn only agreed to the format because she wouldn't have to carry literal ammo. Just shards of hexgems to power the weapon, much like her suit.
Her suit ended up looking too flashy for her endeavors so, after adding a black cloak over the whole ensemble, Caitlyn set off to Zaun. Her main goal was to find the leader Silco and after running into some of his goons, she was able to make her way right to his headquarters...which seemed odd. It couldn't have been this simple to find him and it wasn't. After being tricked, Caitlyn was captured, her rifle had thankfully merged into her suit to stop from being taken. When Caitlyn finally came too, she was tied to a chair, facing somebody sitting at a desk in the dark. "Where am I? Where's Silco? I'm putting an end to your little shimmer scheme once and for all!" Probably not the wisest thing to say when she was defenseless but she'd probably get some answers spewing out nonsense.

"Don't joke with me right now, Ran," Caitlyn spoke firmly. Though, she had been the one to joke with her partner first so she supposed it was her fault. "Ran," the sheriff said in that same tone and she slid her backpack off her shoulders. She went to dig through it and tsked to herself as grabbed everything she needed. "Don't look," Caitlyn mumbled as she lifted a hand to cover Ran's eyes and inject the morphine into the surrounding area. She then began to clean the area the best she could until she had to begin digging the bullets out.
"I'm sorry I was so stern with you, my love," Caitlyn spoke once she was able to begin stitching the area. "I know you've been in far worse situations but I always worry about you. You and Vi. You're both so reckless," She mumbled and lifted her eyes for a moment to look at her lover. "You don't feel anything right? Or less or it at least," Caitlyn asked and it had been her fifth time asking in the span of two minutes. They were in some dirty ol' alley but Caitlyn wanted to make sure Ran was as comfortable as possible. "Don't worry, these stitches are temporary. I'll have someone do them properly soon, I just...cannot have you bleed out right here."

Caitlyn had been meaning to come down here for a while. She had all the intel she needed to get down here nearly unscathed except for the few cuts and bruises she endured anytime she had to physically climb down somewhere. She tried to brush off all the stares she got, as well as all of the occasional people trying to rush at her but it was weird having all this attention on her. At the same time, she was fully expecting it. It's not like the sheriff of Piltover came down to Zaun often and alone nonetheless.
Even with the title of sheriff, people back home still didn't believe in her, including her own parents (they supported her but still, she could tell they weren't one hundred percent about it). It didn't really matter though. Caitlyn was going to prove to everyone (but mostly herself) that she could fix this mess that the enforcers unleashed when they were the lap downs of Silco.
That's when she got the idea to visit Ekko. He was the leader of the Firelights, according to Vi, and after hearing about their true efforts and not what was written on file, she knew that she had to at least try to strike up a deal. Caitlyn couldn't try to fix this mess alone or even with just the enforcers backing her up. No, she needed people from the inside. People who lived in the mess that was Zaun.
First things first, she had to release the Firelight that was currently in their custody. She didn't look too into the details, but she knew they were most likely fighting for the Firelight's cause and that was good enough for her. After going behind everyone's backs, she had set them, Ace, free and ensured that they made it back unharmed. That would also hopefully give her some points when talking to Ekko.
And now here she was, standing with Ekko himself. He was young, even younger than she was, which shocked her but she didn't let it show on her face. He had a worthy cause and was able to maintain leadership while being so young so she couldn't be one to judge. "I understand," Caitlyn spoke and dipped her head down a little. She couldn't really do anything in terms of Marcus's past actions. "I'm not here for any trouble," She insisted as she pointed her gaze up at the other. "I...I want to right the wrongs the enforcers have done to you and your people in the past."
Caitlyn let the statement sink in before she continued onwards. "I'm not like Marcus. I'm nothing like him. I would never team up with Silco or his affiliates for an extra buck." It wasn't morally right but what value did goodness really have down here? "I want what you want: peace. I want this battle, this war to be stopped before it could develop further." The sniper went to nervously play with her hair before she forced her hands down by her sides again. "That's why I want to establish an alliance between the enforcers and the Firelights. They're under new management, my management and I believe we can create a positive change if we work together."

Caitlyn was like a live wire. She should've been resting but she couldn't just sit in bed while everything was happening. No, what kind of detective would she be if she just let all this information leave her grasp? It's not like her injuries were too severe either. A few bandages here and there, nothing more...well, maybe an ache or two from the blast itself but that didn't bother her as much as it bothered her parents. The few times they had come to check on her, they found her roaming around her room like a madman and she had thought about telling them everything, telling them all her findings and theories and such but in the end, she kept her mouth shut. It's not that she didn't think they'd support her, she knew they wouldn't but it was out of love. It was out of care for her. Still, that didn't mean Caitlyn wasn't bugged by it.
On top of everything, Jayce had come to check on her as well but only to tell her that she was out of a job. He tried to soothe her with some pathetic offer at a job, a security guard or whatever but Caitlyn wasn't having it. At least he listened to her ramble. That was the least anyone could do. "Jayce, go, I won't discuss this anymore," Caitlyn ordered with a bitter tone but when there wasn't an immediate answer, she stepped off of her ottoman and turned around to meet an old friend. Or someone she hoped was still a friend. She needed those more than ever it seemed. "Kuvira," the sniper said softly. Despite the rows of flowers laid along her room, Kuvira still looked strong as she stood near the doorway. "Oh dear, I must look a mess," Caitlyn mumbled and chuckled a bit before she held her arm shyly. "What brings you here?"

"Pft. You can try to kill me but I promise it won't end well. Kicking me won't end well either. Playing dead is boring and and unless you're Cait or Ran, don't fucking kiss my cheek. If you really wanna fight though, kick me so you'll be the one to start it."

"Oh dear. That's quite a leap, don't you think? Killing me or showing some sort of affection? I'd rather you don't do any...though I will gladly accept some affection from Vi or Ran."

Somehow, the answer shocked Caitlyn. It was just the two of them in the room so Vi couldn't have been talking to anybody else but still, she wasn't expecting that. "I..." Caitlyn trailed off as a light blush spread across her face. No one had ever wanted her before. Not in this sense anyways. Well, okay, maybe there were some people out there but it's not like Caitlyn knew or even wanted to know of said people. Most of them were probably men anyways and she would never delve into that realm of the dating pool.
"Me?" Caitlyn finally asked once the shock washed over her. "What does, um, what does that mean exactly?" Her eyes slowly glided over her girlfriend, perhaps admiring the way she was sitting a little too much. "For Janna's sake please don't let this be awkward," Caitlyn whispered to herself before she went forward and placed herself right in Vi's lap. She let her legs drape over before she leaned in to hold Vi's cheeks. "I-Is this what you meant?" Despite trying to seem confident, Caitlyn's voice wavered a bit and she cursed to herself.
