Caitlyn had been meaning to come down here for a while. She had all the intel she needed to get down here nearly unscathed except for the few cuts and bruises she endured anytime she had to physically climb down somewhere. She tried to brush off all the stares she got, as well as all of the occasional people trying to rush at her but it was weird having all this attention on her. At the same time, she was fully expecting it. It's not like the sheriff of Piltover came down to Zaun often and alone nonetheless.
Even with the title of sheriff, people back home still didn't believe in her, including her own parents (they supported her but still, she could tell they weren't one hundred percent about it). It didn't really matter though. Caitlyn was going to prove to everyone (but mostly herself) that she could fix this mess that the enforcers unleashed when they were the lap downs of Silco.
That's when she got the idea to visit Ekko. He was the leader of the Firelights, according to Vi, and after hearing about their true efforts and not what was written on file, she knew that she had to at least try to strike up a deal. Caitlyn couldn't try to fix this mess alone or even with just the enforcers backing her up. No, she needed people from the inside. People who lived in the mess that was Zaun.
First things first, she had to release the Firelight that was currently in their custody. She didn't look too into the details, but she knew they were most likely fighting for the Firelight's cause and that was good enough for her. After going behind everyone's backs, she had set them, Ace, free and ensured that they made it back unharmed. That would also hopefully give her some points when talking to Ekko.
And now here she was, standing with Ekko himself. He was young, even younger than she was, which shocked her but she didn't let it show on her face. He had a worthy cause and was able to maintain leadership while being so young so she couldn't be one to judge. "I understand," Caitlyn spoke and dipped her head down a little. She couldn't really do anything in terms of Marcus's past actions. "I'm not here for any trouble," She insisted as she pointed her gaze up at the other. "I...I want to right the wrongs the enforcers have done to you and your people in the past."
Caitlyn let the statement sink in before she continued onwards. "I'm not like Marcus. I'm nothing like him. I would never team up with Silco or his affiliates for an extra buck." It wasn't morally right but what value did goodness really have down here? "I want what you want: peace. I want this battle, this war to be stopped before it could develop further." The sniper went to nervously play with her hair before she forced her hands down by her sides again. "That's why I want to establish an alliance between the enforcers and the Firelights. They're under new management, my management and I believe we can create a positive change if we work together."

Arcane One Piece AU (Fem!ZoSan centric)
Ok so this all started because of this post and galaxy braining with the amazing @anniilaugh can’t you just IMAGINE dyke Zoro circling and Kabedon-ing (pin against the wall) Sanji like “You’re hot, cook- so what’ll it be? Man or woman?” As they go into the brothel looking for information? SHE DREW THE BEST ART OF VI!ZORO RIGHT HERE BTW
Sanji is good with her legs so she would impress Zoro with her parkour skills
Sanji has a Taz British accent (like Caitlin has a British accent) but with lots of cursing (Zeff’s influence) “bollocks!” And some French cursing as well since he learned it as a kid (putain! Merde! Fait chier!)
Zoro wears the same hot dyke clothes Vi does- arms fully out, and pulls her hood on when she’s serious (like the bandana). She also has cool tattoos and the hand wrap things
She fights with hextech swords that look just like hilts until they’re turned on and the blades appear - she carries them looped in carabiners around her waist (seriously look at the art)
World-building wise: Underworld Zaun Kingpin Doflamingo (Silco) with the drug “SMILE” who has Piltover higher ups and police in his pocket (he has leverage like in one piece)
SMILE gives people strange powers but temporarily, like temporary devil fruits that leave you broken and drained
Powder is Luffy, Zoro’s adoptive little brother, they were raised by Kuma (Vander) after his failed revolution where their parents die, growing up with a small crew of misfit friends (including Kuina, who dies)
The tragedy happens and Zoro gets put into prison (on Doffy’s orders) while Luffy thinks Zoro abandoned him and is taken in by Doffy, becoming “Nika” (his unhinged alter ego is gear 5 like Jinkx is to Powder) , now growing up along kids like Law, Baby 5 etc . His hair went white from the stress of that fateful night/or he bleaches it
Caitlin!Sanji grows up in Piltover as a noble with the abusive Vinsmokes but runs away and gets taken in by a chef called Zeff (who lost his leg in the failed revolution but managed to start anew, tries to help Zaun how he can, sending food etc)
Zeff gets put in prison by the Vinsmokes to control Sanji and she’s forced to become an enforcer (Fem!Sanji in that little uniform oh god. Smoking her cigarettes with a stupid little hat and the gun she does her best to avoid using)
She still works after her enforcer shifts at the Baratie since shes always itching to cook, feed the hungry and to support party and carne and keep her adoptive dad’s restaurant alive (she knows of how bad people have it in Zaun, and before Zeff found her she was hungry and homeless)
Her weapon of choice is actually something she has strapped to her legs from her thighs to her calves (Zoro will be very distracted) some hextech steampunk looking thing that powers up her kicks and she can send her kicks energy forward to do mid range attacks
She uses her enforcer job to snoop around and try and figure out how to get her father out
Her lead takes her to Stilwater prison where Zoro has been beat and abused for several years
Cue scene where Sanji walks in to Zoro’s cell and sees her boxing like crazy and fuck she’s so hot wtf but also she feels terrible for her and her blood boils as she learns of the abuse she went through
Telling herself she must be going absolutely insane (but is she? She feels like this is the right thing. It’s fate) she forges release documents to get Zoro out, sure that her knowledge of the under-city will help her understand where the corruption lies and get Zeff back
Zoro immediately does not follow what she’s saying and goes on her own thing (PARKOUR!) and she impresses her by being able to keep up
Zoro still gets lost and turned around
Are you sure you know the under-city, mosshead?
Zoro stops at a street food stall and Sanji is annoyed at first- as well as disgusted by how she shovels it in her mouth, but softens and silently rages when Zoro shares that she’s been starved a couple of times in Stillwater
Cue the brothel scene omg
Circling Sanji and pushing her up against a wall “You’re hot, cook. So what’ll it be, man or woman?”
Zoro walking by Sanji talking up another woman in the brothel after her talk with Nami (head of the brothel) and smiling to herself
Jayce is Franky who is experimenting with the crystals to create hextech, Viktor could be iceburg, Vivi is the hot politician lady (Mel)
Firelight is “Sogeking” - zoro and Luffy’s childhood friend Usopp (Ekko)
Also Taller than Zoro Sanji aaaaa
Zoro calling Sanji “officer” to annoy her - only switching to “cook” and “curly” as an alternative nickname

Teen love, lost love and returned love

(Hi! This is my very first x reader so please dont mind if it sucks 😅)
You were born in the Undercity, yup. Much like everyone else you grew up with and surrounded by, you were an orphan, a misfit that was no exception to the harsh living conditions of the Underground City.
But you were fine with that, you had what you needed to get by but most of all…you had Sevika. Your partner in crime.
You and her grow up together, always attached to the hip through thick and thin.
You would go to her when someone bothered you and let's say she had a "word" with them and she would go to you when having trouble with her father.
Even after some time you knew you had feelings for the brute, how could you not?
Well what you didn't know was that she also harbored the same feelings for you.
But neither of you confessed, staying silent but somehow would always end up with your lips on one another's.
Hugs linger longer than they should've and hand holding from time to time.
It was perfect, for you and her. So you assumed it would always be like this, and you weren't gonna complain.
It was like that for a long time, until you were around 16. Sometime after your birthday, Sevika started acting weird around you.
What used to be hour's long conversations dwindled into short, one word answers.
The knocks on each other's windows ceased and whenever you approached her you were given the cold shoulder and shunned away.
And it fucking hurt. Everytime when you would pass her what used to be the glint in her eye when she looked at you turned into a glare.
You know you could tell somehow, someway and for a reason you didn't know…Sevika hated you.
Her harsh words and actions caused resentment and anger to grow in you, so you accepted that you both were over.
She hated you and you…didn't know if you hated her...
After a while everything was okay, without Sevika and you protecting each other you had to defend yourself. But you did it, and you were damn good at it too.
With Vander running the Undercity everything was good, you were a friend of his.
Sometimes you babysit his kids, you were close to them all but mostly Powder.
She reminded you of yourself when young, full of curiosity and wonder so you felt an obligation to protect her.
But everything once again changed, after that night of the death of Mylo, Claggor and Vander everything went to hell without the man.
Powder was okay, she found you but she wouldn't tell you what happened except she wasn't Powder anymore, but Jinx and that they're gone.
You didn't want to upset her anymore than she already was so you went along with it.
Adjusting to the shimmer and such now flooding the lanes was a big step. But you did it, as long as you kept an eye on Jinx.
You made a name for yourself, you were called the ghost of the underground, because you somehow knew everything and nobody's secrets were safe with you around and you got things done quietly and somehow had never been caught…which caught the eye of Zauns attention.
                                  …
You pushed open the bar door, the hinge's slightly creaking.
'Definitely needs adjusting.'
You looked around the bar, the mask on your face hissing with each breath you took before a familiar blue haired girl came bouncing up to you.
"Y/n!" She shouted, wrapping her arms around your waist tightly. You gave a faint smile and hugged the girl back.
She had grown up a bit, her inventions and bombs now perfected and she had grown taller.
Her hair was longer, down to her ankles and her arms now adorned with blue clouds going along her arms down to her torso and legs.
"How are you doing?" You asked, pulling back from the hug and moving the strand of hair away from her forehead to give a small kiss on the crown of her head.
She smiled at the gesture, her eyes lighting up as she dragged you to the bar.
"Im fine," she dragged out to e, making you roll your eyes in amusement as she used her arm to lean back on the barstool.
"How 'bout you? Anything interesting?" She leaned in, whispering to you as you shook your head.
"Except for the brothel, nothing. Just here because I got a random goon in my house saying Silco wanted me-" Jinx cut you off, abruptly grabbing your shoulders.
"Silco called you?! Y'know what this means?!" She beamed, bouncing on her feet as she clapped her hands excitedly.
"What does it mean?" You asked, removing her hands from your shoulders as she hopped onto the bar top.
"He said he was going to find someone to find info, you're that someone!" She exclaimed, basically dancing in the spot as you raised an eyebrow at her.
"Jinx-" you started, cut off as you heard the one voice you were not in the mood to deal with.
"Name." She called out, cursing internally as you turned your body to see Sevika, her cloak over her arm as she stared right back at you.
"Really? We're talking." Jinx groaned, throwing her head back as Sevika glared at the girl.
"Boss wants you." She cut short, her blank stare flowing back to you.
"What does he want?" You asked. "Just go." She scoffed, walking back up the stairs as you rolled your eyes at her.
"Why does she have to be so boring? And rude." Jinx asked, looking at you as you shrugged your shoulders.
"Don't know, just tell me if she causes you trouble." You told her, Jinx nodding her head at you with a smile.
After the explosion of that night Jinx clinged to you, and surprisingly Sevika.
Except for Silco she only knew you guys, Sevika was more like a big sister/aunt while you were the mother or so.
But after Jinx started having more…problems, Sevika grew even colder to the girl than she was to you.
And it made your blood boil, all the more reason to hate her.
"I'll be back." You said, twirling around on your barstool and stepping off it. Jinx watching you go with a wave. "Be sure to come back, you know I'll find you!"
You gave a small laugh at the teen, shaking your head at the ground with a smile before you began the walk up the stairs to Silco's office.
When you got there Sevika stood at the door, looking at you as you both stared at each other. You turned your head away from her, walking past her and knocking your shoulders together.
Hey, if you hate each other, you should at least get the last word or shoulder bump in this case.
"Ah, the ghost of the undercity," Silco spoke, sitting in his chair as you raised an eyebrow at him.
"And the supposed 'Eye of Zaun' to what do I owe the pleasure?" You sarcastically spoke, sitting on a chair in front of his desk.
"I need information." He cut short. "Figures. On what?" You asked, the man lifting a clipboard towards you as you took it, lifting the paper's on it.
"The hex gates? And shimmer shipment guarding? Y'know I don't mess with that shit." You glared at the man. Him nodding his head at you.
"You won't be touching it, much less taking it. It's a precaution to prevent the firelights from interrupting the trade." He explained, glancing back at the clipboard.
"And if you take it, you'll be paid fairly with a job, and watching over Jinx more. I see you and her have always been close." He finished, you looking over the sheet as you thought about it. But one thing was missing.
"What's the catch?"
"You must learn to work with Sevika." He stated, you look at him before giving a laugh.
"You're kidding, right?" He stayed silent, confirming your answer.
"I dont know if you noticed but the demented ogre hates me." You leaned back in your seat.
"You don't have to like each other. Just put aside the petty squabble and learn to work together." You sighed, the deal sounded good.
You got a job, paid and you got to stay close to Jinx. Lord knows she needed it, but extra time with Sevika was not something you wanted.
"Fine, I'll take it." You accepted, Silco humming as he turned his chair back to the window. "Good. You start next week, you may leave now."
'Thank god.'
You stood up, walking to the door and opening it. You stepped out the door to see Sevika still there. "You actually took it." She sounded like she wanted to kill herself.
"Don't sound so excited." You rolled your eyes at her. "Don't flatter yourself." She snaps at you.
"Well, just get the fuck over it. We're gonna have to learn to deal with each other from now on." You state, Sevika turning her head away from you.
"Great." That was all, her boots thudding against the wooden steps as she walked away.
'Fucking bitch…'
                                  …
That mission went to shit.
In one day the firelights attacked a shipment, Sevika was being a bitch and you needed to help after she was having an episode, with her pow pow in her hand. Never ended well.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Sevika asked, pulling you to face her by your shoulder. You scoffed.
"Me? What the hell? What's wrong with you? Lay off her, she's been through enough without you always on her ass." You glared at her, meaning when she was being an ass to Jinx.
"She's a problem. You know it and so do I. She fucked it all up."
She argued back. "I mean it. Leave. Her. Alone." With each word you jammed your finger into her chest, grabbing your hand in a tight grip.
"What are you gonna do? Break my fucking hand? What's that gonna prove? That you're a coward, that's what." You taunted her, the woman glaring down at you silently before letting go and bumping shoulders with you as she passed.
"Yeah, running away as always…" you muttered under your breath.
Sinking into a bar seat as you leaned back into it, running a hand down your face as you sighed heavily.
Why the hell was she like this? You guys used to be friends and she was the one who hates you? If anyone, it should be YOU the one hating HER.
What seemed like minutes and a few drinks actually was a few hours and let's sum it down to…a lot of drinks.
You weren't a light weight, you weren't new to this but you were definitely tipsy.
When you get tipsy thoughts you didn't want arose, mostly of Sevika. You weren't gonna admit it but the alcohol made you realise you missed the woman over the years.
You missed her touch, her voice and her presence even if you didn't want it.
But maybe you did, who knows.
                                    …
From across the bar the very same woman at question watched you, you had a drink in your hand as you stared at the floor.
It reminded her of when you were focused when teens, you usually blanked off because you had as she would say 'a wandering mind' never stayed where it was meant.
You still looked the same as the day she realized she felt weird around you. It was a normal day, but this time when she turned to you she noticed more things than before.
Like the way your eyebrows knit in confusion when you got something wrong, the glint in your eye when you were excited, the small twitch in your lip that was about to crack into a smile after she would relentlessly tease you and you would pretend to take it.
And the look of love she noticed when she saw you looking at her. And she felt the feeling growing in her chest and her ears when she looked at you.
God, how long has it been? 6-7 years? She missed it a bit, but wouldn't admit it though.
She regretted it, there, she admitted it. When she felt the feeling in her chest and in her ears she knew what it was.
And it terrified her, at that moment she realized how dependent and how much she needed you.
And she was scared of that, and the fear and humiliation that if you left she would feel it.
So to avoid being hurt, he thought her leaving would be the best. So she did. And she hadn't returned to you even now.
But god she wants to, watching you across from her in the bar seat.
                                   …
You felt eyes watching you, it felt familiar. Your eyebrows knit as you looked up, making brief eye contact with Sevika before the woman looked away.
You felt anger at that moment.
What? Now she couldn't even look at you? That's fucking enough now. You didn't even know if it was the alcohol but who cares?
You tipped the drink into your mouth, swallowing it before placing the glass onto the table and walking straight towards the woman. When you got there she looked at you, confused.
"What?" She asked, looking agitated but you didn't care. You wanted your answers. So you didnt let her answer, you merely grabbed her arm and practically dragged her out the stool and had her tripping after you.
"What the fuck are you doing?!" She hissed, you staying silent as you pulled her outside the bar. "What the hell was that?" She asked, looking at you in disbelief.
"I want answrrs." You stated, her looking at you utterly confused. "Answers? Im not doing this." She tried to turn back to the bar, you grabbing her arm and bringing her back.
"No! I wanna know why in hell you just abandoned me? Why the hell even after everything I did for you, after everything you said to me you just left?" You said, her looking down as she shook her head.
"Huh? Answer me-" you were cut off by the feeling of soft lips on your own, rough hands on the sides of your face as you slowly closed your eyes and melted into it.
By the time she pulled away, even if you liked it, you were still hella confused.
"W-what? What was that?" You asked, looking at her conflicted and confused. "There, that shut you up." She said, you look at her offended.
"What the hell? Is this a joke to you?" You asked, angrier by the minute. "You are so stupid." She sighed, her hand meeting her forehead.
"Well, sorry for being confused by the fact after seven years you fucking kiss me!" You snapped.
"You wanna fucking know?!" She asked, nodding your head. "Yes?! What else have I been asking from you?!"
"I left you because you terrify me, (Y/n)." She states, your shoulders slowly slumping as you tilted your head at her.
"Huh? You left me…because you're scared of me…? Why?" You pressed, the woman in front of you sighing.
"I didn't want to…feel anything about you." She finished, you looking down as you slowly put the pieces together.
"You…you had feelings for me?" You asked, Sevika staying silent, both of you in silence before she scoffed.
"This was bullshit-" she started to turn away, bringing her face down to you as you kissed her. Once you pulled away you saw the surprised look on her face.
"If you weren't a dumbass you would've known since we were 16, idiot." You flicked her forehead, the woman glaring at you and rolling her eyes but you saw the amusement.
"You make me regret this already." This time she successfully walked away and opened the bar door, turning back to you standing there.
"Well? You comin'?" You looked at her surprised.
"Is the famous Sevika asking me on a date?" You teased, the woman staring at you before closing the door.
"Hey! Wait, Vika!" You opened the door, catching up to her as you walked beside her, how long had it been since you called her that?
She rolled her eyes once more, but still snuck a small side eye at you out the corner of her eye to see your smiling face. She did miss this.

You've mentioned points you like about Silco? Is there anything you dislike?
Oh lmao, I have a whole bunch. But that's mostly dislikes on the writing choices - and my own politics and biases coming into play.
They will come into play, of course, because the consumption of art is inherently filtered through one's own biases. It's why I enjoy the series so much, because each take tells me so much about the viewer's own life experiences and worldview (CaitVi is adorable vs CaitVi is faux-woke Copaganda, Silco was a manipulative shit vs Silco is the best dad ever, Jinx blowing up the Council was an act of irredeemable terrorism vs. a reckoning both justifiable and overdue etc.)
But regarding Silco:
One of the factors I feel weakened Silco's character was the lack of coherent plan re: the nation of Zaun. A five-point manifesto etc that would detail what he wants for Zaun as an independent nation - and explain why people like Sevika backed him in the first place.
We get a brief chickenshit version during his parley with Jayce (amnesty, access to the trade routes via the Hex Gates etc). But the very amnesty concept is bulldozed by Jayce's demand for Jinx, and Silco just folds and laments in a way that's completely out of character.
However, I blame that less on the character than on Riot games in general. Anyone familiar with their MO knows they write their revolutionaries as spiteful assholes with no end-goal beyond ~*chaos! mwahaha*~
Silco is no exception to this. They likely also knew that giving him a concrete plan for Zaun's independence would take away from the villain status he's meant to occupy, and make audiences start to question, "Why is this guy actually making sense?"
It happened for a lot of the audience anyway. But much like Magneto in X-Men and Eric Killmonger in Black Panther, the narrative quickly gives him lots of Kick the Dog moments as if to remind us that the guy actually bothering to champion for respect is soooo evol whereas the centrist Papa Wolf type (ilu Vander, but dude…) who is preaching patience and passivity while their people are literally assaulted in the street is squarely in the right.
Of course, we're told the story through Vi's and Powder's perspective, so the man who kidnapped their dad won't win any brownie points. But the centrism-is-good/all-we-need-is-love narrative is deeply on brand for Riot. Heck, even Screen Junkies has called out their 'very fine people on both sides' style of storytelling. As if a Fair Cop with *misfit syndrome* from an immensely privileged background and a bunch of pampered pricks at the top of the social ladder are somehow equal in their level of suffering to a group of outcasts whose literal air and water is poisoned thanks to their indifference.
Jayce is interesting in that he's clearly meant to be middle to upper middle class. He's also the placeholder for many of the engineers and artists within Arcane's production team itself, so his struggles to leave a mark and break through social barriers for the sake of recognition mirror their own.
It's a sweet underdog tale, and compelling in its own right. But then they have Jayce inadvertently serving as the shining innovator foil to Silco's dark opportunist. And that's where the comparison falls flat because a boy from humble beginnings, but still in Piltover's inner-fold, is nowhere near the same as a man whose whole character is typified by poverty, corruption, and ostracism.
It's why Viktor serves as a much better parallel to Jayce (also the whole sciencebros thing is cute.)
Meanwhile, the popularity of CaitVi often tends to automatically exempt Caitlyn from blame, because she's not manipulative or fame-hungry, just ignorant. By the end *Her Eyes Have Been Opened* (and possibly her thighs, but I digress...) However, ignorance is by definition both a privilege and a danger, especially if it's ignorance at the expense of someone else's suffering. I guess in S2 they'll maybe low-key 'punish' her for it with (possible spoiler - Cassandra Kirraman's death), but we'll cross that bridge for her character arc when it happens.
Back to Silco though. Development into his Nation of Zaun dream was sorely lacking beyond wordy abstraction. I get that they wrote him as a 'svengali' type, so verbal thaumaturgy is his shtick. But if they really wanted him to be a 'sorta villain' as opposed to a full-blown one, then nuance re: his lifelong mission would've gone a long way. Ditto for him and Jayce being subtle mirrors re: the heights and depths of innovation, which didn't work, and which made the final parley scene feel kinda trite.
I, of course, welcome counterarguments. Just keep it polite<3

"You…you had feelings for me?" You asked, Sevima staying silent, both of you in silence before she scoffed.
"This was bullshit-" she started to turn away, bringing her face down to you as you kissed her. Once you pulled away you saw the surprised look on her face.
"If you weren't a dumbass, you would've known since we were 16, idiot." You flicked her forehead, the woman glaring at you and rolling her eyes, but you saw the amusement.
"You make me regret this already." This time she successfully walked away and opened the bar door, turning back to you standing there. "Well? You comin'?" You looked at her surprised.
"Is the famous Sevika asking me on a date?" You teased, the woman staring at you before closing the door. "Hey! Wait, Vika!" You opened the door, catching up to her as you walked beside her.
She rolled her eyes once more, but still snuck a small side eye at you out the corner of her eye to see your smiling face. She did miss this

Old friends make the best enemies
Continued from here with @misfits-of-zaun
Rolling her eyes as he spoke of her being late Jinx shrugged. It wasn’t as though she was on a schedule after all, and it was a minor miracle she was there at all. Rumors, gunfire, and the sight of people running from an area of Zaun had pulled her over like the scent of a squirrel might get a hunting dogs attention. However her eyes did go to his shoulder for a second, and although Jinx didn’t look exactly worried or sympathetic she looked almost irritated. As though something about that sight, that someone other than her had hurt Ekko was “off” in a way she disliked. As he spoke of Enforcers however Jinx at once was both disappointed, and surprised.
“Enforcers? Enforcers!? Really!? You let some stupid enforcers shoot you? After all the times you’ve dodged my shots, and survived our fights and some… some… enforcers get the shot in!?” Head going back in disbelief Jinx shook her head. “Ekko come on, you have to be better than that how are you going to let some pilties do that to you?” Whatever bit of casualness she’d held almost like talking to an old friend who’d preformed far below what he was capable of as far as Jinx was concerned vanished when Ekko taunted her.
For one short split microsecond Jinx’s face held nothing except for cold rage although deep within her eyes there was something unknowable. Maybe grief, or maybe fear even or a kind of sad resignation. She was alone and it was her fault after murdering all of them which was the one thing she’d always been most afraid of. Be it knowingly, or accidentally Ekko had hit just the right nerve to ensure that for a second that monster wearing his former friends face emerged. This time there was no hesitation as she lunged forward with that pistol swinging out than in to hit him across the face with it. A moment of grappling ensured as Ekko managed to catch the pistol be it before, or after it hit him but with that shimmer running through Jinx she managed to keep hold of it albeit after bringing her free fist down to hit him in the face once or twice. Springing backwards for a moment her lips pulled back, and that pistol was pointed right at Ekko’s head with her finger on the trigger.
She was alone though now wasn’t she? This wouldn’t even be her kill either. Not with how the stupid enforcers had hurt Ekko and wounded him she’d have to kill each and every last one of them later just for the fun of it plus… if she pulled that trigger… even he’d be gone. Jinx wasn’t sure she’d ever see Vi again since her traitor sister had picked Caitlyn, and Piltover. She didn’t want to be alone, but he was an enemy and one of them was going to kill the other some day.
Quick seconds flickered past as once against Jinx hesitated, and slowly her face relaxed making her look younger as the rage left almost as sudden as it came. Letting her stance relax so the pistol pointed down at the ground instead of at Ekko she shrugged. “I have my own Cause to keep alive.” For a brief moment it was almost like Powder peaking though as Jinx sadly chuckled. “Have to keep fighting. Just like we always said. Keep those enforcers away from…” Voice trailing off she shrugged. It had varied. Away from us, away from our people, away from Zaun, just away. Like Mylo had said “even Powder wants to fight”, and that’d never changed.
“Guess I’m not killing you. Not today.” That pistol moved tapping absent mindedly against her thigh that had gotten cut not all that long ago when she’d gotten ambushed while talking to Vi, or trying to at least. Pistol suddenly shoved back into her holster Jinx stared at Ekko before taking a step back, and turning as though to leave.
It wasn’t like she wanted to help him or just talk, or anything.
Not like he wanted help, or to talk.
Powder fell down a well, and only Silco had ever wanted what had crawled back up.

Arcane Analysis: Jinx and Caitlyn
I keep seeing people mention this offhandedly, but I have yet to see a long-winded analysis about it, so instead I will provide it.
Jinx and Caitlyn are foils
I’m a firm believer that if Caitlyn had been born in Zaun, and Powder born in Piltover, they would have turned out just like each other. Caitlyn and Jinx are cut from the same cloth, and are wildly similar. Both are considered misfits and don’t have any friends, both rely primarily on intelligence rather than strength, both are talented marksmen, and both are deeply insecure. (I also think both are autistic, but that’s a whole other thing). And there’s also the obvious of them being the two people who love Vi the most and are the two most important people in Vi’s life.
But where they differ is in morality. Caitlyn hates violence and despite being a sniper, steadfastly refuses to kill. Jinx does…not, to say the least. But she used to. In Act 1, Powder is a pacifist who seems horrified by the idea of killing. And then she goes through unimaginable trauma and makes some poor decisions and becomes almost a funhouse mirror of both Caitlyn and the person she used to be. Caitlyn is what she should have been, she’s the future she was robbed of as a child. She’s what Powder was always meant to be. And in a way, Jinx represents the same for Caitlyn: a possible future if she’s not careful. If their positions had been switched, (Caitlyn being born in Zaun and Jinx being born in Piltover), they would have ended up just like each other. Caitlyn does not have the skill set to survive in Zaun, just like Powder didn’t, and probably would have been faced with the same choice Powder was: die, or adapt. As for Powder, she definitely would have become a scientist at the Academy, but I could definitely see her being enchanted by the Enforcers the way Caitlyn was, and maybe she would have primarily made bombs for them or other weapons and armor.
I also think this is part of why Vi falls in love with Caitlyn over the course of two days, because Caitlyn reminds her of Powder. She has all the qualities she liked but can no longer find in Powder. Vi herself even compared them when she saw Caitlyn’s conspiracy board ( which we need to talk more about as a fandom, because Caitlyn is canonically a crazy conspiracy theorist). “ And I thought Powder could get obsessed!” Vi sees it.
So why do they hate each other, and are they aware of this? Well, Jinx ruined Caitlyn’s life, so Caitlyn has every right to hate her. She also just doesn’t know much about Jinx and has no idea about this similarity. She would also be deeply offended and in denial if someone brought this up to her, so.
But what about Jinx? This may come as a surprise, but I say she is painfully aware of this. Would she ever admit it? Absolutely not, but she knows it. She hates Caitlyn for two reasons: the obvious one we’re presented with, that Caitlyn stole Vi from her or is manipulating her sister, and that she’s deeply jealous and resentful. She knows that’s part of why Vi likes her so much, because Caitlyn is a better version of her, and she sees Caitlyn as a representation of everything she’s lost. Not to mention the fact that Jinx hates everything about herself, but most notably her childhood self, so of course she’s going to hate someone who reminds her of her childhood self.
One of my biggest wishes for season 2 is that they explore this concept more.

okay, I need to make a list because it's the easiest way for me to stay on top of things, since I keep getting distracted, and these things will get priority over all others (with long pauses when my body says it's time to rest):
-fixing Janey's bio and make links and pages (I thought her name was Jane! I thought Janey could only be a petname! No!) and if @hqlfbloods gives me some Cooper-Janey interactions I'll cry forever (and that goes for other rpers too, even if it needs some plotting to be fully OUCH as a reunion) << somehow I've already done this
-answer asks from hqlfbloods, IF ANYONE ELSE sent me one and I didn't answer, I didn't get it! Feel very free to send me more so I can get used to my new characters as well as re-used to the old ones!
-tried to determine which replies to my answers are going to be kept by my rp partners so I can put them in the thread tracker ?!! < adding them when I get a second reply
-plot with @misfits-of-zaun as soon as possible and check out new blogs to decide who to follow (I will read rules, bios because like I say in my rules I have a HARD time saying no so I need to know if they can work BEFORE I follow, I will check out your threads and blah blah) << I checked out the blogs
-starters for @protectxthem and @aamusedly and @brckensteel, IF ANYONE ELSE ASKED FOR A STARTER please let me know, I think I'm all caught up but I could have missed one! << done some of these too plus some extra starters
-send 'hey let's plot!' messages to new people, probably, if I don't lose my energies at random again << done this too
-maybe make a separate Fallout page for my oc Emma at @smiletimeisrunningout instead of keeping it in the sci-fi section? and answer to asks there too!
-drafts! on all blogs! and a bunch of icons for a commission and possibly study some math at some point today?
-reminder everyone that I'm basing my Fallout characters on the TVSHOW only because I only have vague memories of the games, as much as I liked them, and I certainly didn't complete enough question to know all NPCs, because I don't want you guys to get disappointed! I can't replay if I'm roleplaying here! For Lucy rpers, also, my Fallout OCs and AU characters for now are only Stella and Janey respectively.
if I'm missing something, hit me up!
Also I'm making Maximus icons on the side, if you want let me know if you think they are whiteashed or okay or too dark:

⌜ @misfits-of-zaun ⌟ ―― C a i t l y n . & . E k k o ❝ Ekko set his jaw, staring the enforcer down for a long moment. Searching her expression as he stewed on the uncomfortable choice before him, and his conflicting feelings about what to do.
Vi had vouched for her. Vi trusted her - and he'd trusted Vi enough to extend a little tentative trust to Caitlyn, by proxy.
And it had blown up in his face as soon as they'd walked onto the damn bridge.
The only consolation in the wake of it all was that it had clearly been as much of a trap for Caitlyn - she had been just as taken by surprise as him, and in just as much danger. The fact that her own fellow enforcers - her own commanding officer - had been willing to shoot her down with the trencher trash was a pretty clear indication that Caitlyn was who Vi believed she was. Because of course a good enforcer would be gunned down by her corrupt colleagues the second she started sniffing too close to the truth.
The problem was that Caitlyn hadn't recognised the danger until there was a gun pointed in their faces. The problem was that she had believed the Sheriff and the mob of armed enforcers at his back would listen to her, and it had been a shock for her when talking hadn't worked.
Who else did she believe they could talk things out with? Was her friend on the Council really someone they could trust? What if Caitlyn was wrong?
...What alternative was there?
They'd come this far. If he walked away now, all this would have been for nothing, and the bridge full of dead enforcers would be another atrocity to pin on his people - another excuse to hunt them down in the streets.
"...I believe you." The Firelight leader conceded grudgingly at last, after a tense pause.
"If you're still so sure this Council friend of yours can be trusted, then fine - but we're not just strolling in through the front door. The streets will be crawling with your colleagues after that explosion, and we don't know who's in Silco's pocket; shit's too risky. We do this my way."
He slanted his head meaningfully over at the drainage pipe snaking up the side of the nearest building. The rooftops would be their safest bet; he knew from extensive experience. ❞
Tumblr media
They didn't have time for this. Caitlyn propped herself up against the ledge of the bridge, as she pressed her hand up against her thigh. The pain ripped against her thigh, sheering like fire as she looked over toward Vi. She wanted to run over to her, grab her and get her to safety but Ekko stood there. Jinx was unconscious, the bomb enough to knock her out (if she was even alive). But the biggest issue was convincing Ekko to come with her, to help Vi and in turn hopefully get all this sorted. Enforcers would be here in ten minutes top, and each second was another moment that ticked away. After a few ten seconds, she finally got an answer.
"thank you," Caitlyn said, as she pushed herself up, trying to ignore the blood seeping from her wound, staining against her purple cloth. "I'll explain why after we get off this bridge. More enforcers are coming and it's better if we get off the streets like you said. My house isn't that far away, we can lay low there," She looked over toward the drainage pipe and gave a quick nod.
Tumblr media
She hoped there wasn't too much climbing or movement. Her leg would not handle it well, she'd be limping for the most part while still trying to drag Vi. Grit and willpower were enough to get her up as she reached over to grab Vi's arm and pulled her deadweight upward til she had her arm against her shoulder. Once Ekko had the other side, it lessen the load and she moved with as much speed as she had in her feet. Alarms were already going off, as she followed him down toward the pipe. The gemstone pouch rested over her other shoulder, as she leaned up against the stone and pushed her head back.
"Vi, this would be easier if you woke up," She whispered, though she wasn't about to leave her behind to be framed for this incident.

𝐅𝐈𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐑
Tumblr media
Are you named after anyone?
Yes and no. No one in my family has my first name, but I have a second and a third names (which aren't official, as in the are present on my birth certificate but not on my other IDs) that are dedicated to my maternal grandfather and to my maternal great-grandmother.
When was the last time you cried?
I honestly can't remember. It's been a while, though. I had an anxiety attack last month, but I didn't really cry. So maybe...uh, December last year? 0.o Or maybe before then. I know that I cry way less than it's healthy these days.
Do you have kids?
Nope and I don't have plans to ever have some. I don't think I have what it takes to be a good parent, considering that I'll be mostly focus on my work. And I'm not equipped to be a parent in any case. At most, if I ever were to adopt a kid, I'd been some sort of older sibling figure to them, but definitely not a parent.
Do you use sarcasm a lot?
Yes. It's my number one defensive mechanism when I'm directly dealing / talking to someone. In general sarcasm is my humour. I can't say that I'm a funny person, because I'm not, so sarcasm and irony tend to replace what for most people would be covered by humour.
What's the first thing you notice about people?
It depends on the person and on how I meet the person. IRL, I guess it the way they approach others (myself included), Online it's usually their speech patterns and how they related to other people. Usually, I'm always wary of new people until I've seen how they relate to other. How they talk to and about them is usually a good way for me to tell whether or not they are worth my efforts.
What's your eye colour?
Grey-blue (I didn't give my eyes to one of my muses on purpose, nope. I realise it in the aftermath like an idiot xD).
Scary movies or happy endings?
Damn, this is a tough one. Horror is one of my fave genres, but it's also to be said that I'm very picky when it comes to horror movie. They not only have to be scary, but they have to make sense and have a comprehensible lore. If it's just jumpscares and random stereotypes, thanks, but no thanks.
On the other hands I really like happy endings in fiction. Real life sucks badly enough, I want some satisfaction and proper endings at least in fictional universes. So, if I had to pick, I guess happy endings?
Any special talents?
I'm kind of not sure? I've been told that I have a knack for writing and also that I have a great emotional intelligence (which isn't the same as empathy, mind you). Personally, I don't think I'm especially talented in any field.
Where were you born?
Italy! That's my mother country and Italian is mother language ^^
What are your hobbies?
writing (mostly fanfics), roleplaying, listening to music, watching movies/shows, overthinking shit, being a walking mess in general.
Have you any pets?
I have a cat! He's white, deaf and has motor issues, but I really love him 🖤
What sport do you play/have you played?
I've always practised sport, since I was in elementary school, and I've practised a lot of them before settling for one in particular. Before the pandemics, I used to do martial arts (even if I have been skipping a lot of lessons because of university). I'm not doing much nowadays, but after graduation, I'm planning to get back on track with that too.
How tall are you?
168 cm (which should be 5'5"? Or 5'6", I can never remember)
Favourite subject in school?
Philosophy and literature.
Dream job?
I'm on my way to become a doctor and I'd say that it's my dream job. Not because I've always wanted to become one or stuff like that, but because nowadays I can't imagine myself as anything else.

Do you know what I want to see in the next season of Arcane? I want Vi and Caitlyn to not only kiss, but share more intimate moments (as I presume they are going to work together). I’m talking hip grabs, hurried cheek kisses, hugs of comfort (because I also want a scene of Vi utterly crying her eyes out on the floor, trying to comprehend what her sister has become and that she has lost her forever—- the very idea of Caitlyn being there to comfort her, my heart goes wild) Dear Caitlyn trying her hardest to convince the council of new forms of action towards the Jinx situation. Vi and Cait making up and making out.
I want to see Jinx be an emotional wreck, Jinx feeling absolutely lost. She goes into hiding, goes mental, sees Silco everywhere she looks. She develops night terrors (like she didn’t have them already). Becomes very suicidal. Comes up with an elaborate plan to completely obliterate Piltover. A parallel from the very first episode of enforcers and fire coming after her. Makes a demented doll of Caitlyn and burns it. Finds one of Vi from years ago covered in dust and is about to burn it to but she just can’t.
I want to see Jayce and Viktor becoming slowly removed from each other. More parallels between Mel and Viktor. Mel becoming more affirmed in her position. Noxian backstory. Stark juxtapositions between Jayce and Viktor and their goals growing further apart (Imagine Jayce visiting Viktor’s steel oasis after a long time, only to see that he is not there. And yet, he waits.)
I want to see Viktor in the peak of his turn. Give him a total, feral meltdown. Maybe he badly injures his non-augmented leg (?) in the explosion and decides to remove the dead weight. He starts experimenting more with his body. He hears the plans the council has for Zaun and loses it because he’s helpless. His insanity catches up to him. A full on rampage of him absolutely destroying the shit out of his lab. Tearing papers down, ripping books apart, attempting to get rid of his and Jayce’s careful research that ultimately amounted to nothing after all the years, literally turning tables over. Only to lay in the midst of the destruction with nothing left. He starts seeing apparitions and visions, talks to himself, stares off into space, distances himself from Jayce. Soon makes the decision to leave Piltover all together. Something something trauma. (Not to mention Sky?? I hope to see her appear as a ghost Viktor sees in his insane visions)
[I don’t know how nobody has mentioned this before, but a dramatic scene of Jayce and Viktor ending their partnership in the rain like Vi and Cait…]
I want to see Heimerdinger caught up in Ekko and his innovation. I want to see them share ideas and talk of their fears of the future, give advice to each other. Give Ekko more moments to shine. Badass action sequences, his group of rebels fighting against the opposition. More of their plans moving forward. Jinx angst. Memories of Powder. New inventions, new allies. We absolutely need to see Teen Ekko and how he handled living alone. How he found the strength to rally up other misfits and form something great. Finally introduce time bending—- are you joking? Just more of Ekko on that damn hoverboard. And the owl symbolism. The owl symbolism.
I need more beautiful imagery. I need more ugly and sickening and saddening depictions of a deteriorating people. I need more childhood flashbacks, reminders of who the characters once were, how they changed (especially Powder).
And these are only ideas!! There are so many routes the Arcane teams could take, and I am patiently waiting to eat up whatever glorious pieces of visual poetry they will conjure up.
