          Obi-Wan had thought Anakin dead for 10 years, had believed he killed his own brother, and yet that man stood before him more machine than man. And he knows Anakin Vader’s words ring true, but there is still that part of Obi-Wan that can feel Anakin deep down. That can pick out Anakin in a crowd amongst thousands and it tears him apart inside. There’s no more tears for him to shed - instead just a numbness that isn’t going to go away anytime soon.

The dark provided a little more shelter than day, but the hairs at the back of Alastor’s neck seemed to be on end permanently these days.
