honestly everything you said about geto. so true. LIKE. he’s super interesting and very entertaining but like. he’s really not a good person. this guy still attempted genocide as an adult like alright. yuuta beating him up was well deserved <3 if he does get revived i don’t really want him to get a happy ending tbh i don’t think he deserves it even tho ik a lot of ppl do? (will any of the character tho? will they?)

i'm kidding hfjkshfs yeah he absolutely deserved to get his ass kicked and i do think it's a little odd that a lot of people are so all-or-nothing on this—from what i’ve seen they either hate him with every fiber of their being and are suspicious of everything he’s ever done even before he went off the rails or they give him the poor little meow meow treatment—but his death still hurt. even outside of an analytical standpoint (which is a blast), if i see a character having strong, genuinely loving bonds with other people, i'm automatically endeared to them at least a little bit because haikyuu rotted a hole through my brain.

does he deserve a happy ending? nah. do i want him to be revived? yes. i miss him. should he get the shit kicked out of him by maki and get yelled at by shouko, possibly simultaneously? yes, and i'd laugh, but i also tend to gravitate towards fics where that happens and then he begins to heal because so much of his tragedy, like many of the other characters in this series, has to do with missed chances and what ifs, and it's really good when done correctly. a lot of people tend to mess with/skew the amount of agency he had from hitting rock bottom onward and so far i haven't seen anyone address how he was like. very much not entirely There during volume 0 though so fics that take those into account and do it well are kind of hard to come by, but i'm relatively easy to please.

most likely case scenario in-story for if he comes back is probably death again, which would also be interesting because i generally trust in gege's abilities to write satisfying endings (i.e. they probably won't bring him back for .5 seconds for like One line and then kill him) and i know they said they don't like writing redemption arcs, so even if getou does try to fight off kenjaku from the inside and regain control, it probably won't go the redemption=death route. i'm curious to see where gege takes it :0
