All these years later and I'm struck by the idea of a TSME AU on my way home from work. Sometimes the characters never really leave us, huh

#it's not the most original idea. in fact i'm sure it's been done before #but it's ''what if Lysandre was Manon's distant father''? #like she was still raised by Grandpapa Ramos bc her mom died & Lys was too busy planning mass genocide to take care of her #but they are both aware of it and so while she still meets Alan by chance #Lys *tells* Alan to keep an eye on her and Manon wants Alan to train her so SHE can help her papa's ''peaceful purposes'' #bc she doesn't know the truth either and has insecurity issues over never seeing him and him picking someone else to help over her #so it adds another dimension to things. esp considering how Lys has emotionally abused Alan for 2 years #(bc what Manon doesn't realize is Lys was always planning to spare her. but Alan is disposable. far from a favorite) #plus it adds another dimension where - Lys & Manon are biofamily but he was absent most of her life #meanwhile Sycamore adopted Alan and raised him with love & care #(makes Alan sound like a pokemon lol) #anyway it would give an actual reason for the Flare grunts to address her as ''Manon-sama'' like they do #which alone makes it worth it to me #(rip to Ramos for having such a shitty son tho. where did u go so wrong dude. what happened.) #(did u give Lys unrestricted reddit & 4chan & youtube access as a young adult? smh) #(at least you've done a better job w/ Manon)
