what happened to non-romantic kissing on the lips ?? why did it stop.

#i'm sure some cultures still do that. but i mean like in the us #like women used to kiss on the lips as a greeting #and family members did it too (i can't find anything on this from looking it up but it was for sure a prevalent thing) #(ie. asa & florence trenchard from our american cousin; sibyl & james vane from tpodg; leon & victoria czolgosz from real life) #(<- those are all examples of family members kissing . yeah) #and these are just in the 19th century. before that men were kissing #why did THAT stop??? #homophobia? #like women were kissing as a greeting at the same time it was considered normal and fine for female college students to have crushes on #other female college students #bc homsexuality in women wasn't treated seriously/like a real thing #<- ''homosexuality in women'' why did i phrase it like that.
