A sus pies, se encuentran lo que parecen ser cajas de mudanza, mientras que con el pañuelo que sostiene entre sus manos, limpia unas cuantas lágrimas sobre su rostro. No es hasta que siente una presencia cerca suyo que levanta el rostro, esbozando una sonrisita que falla en ocultar que, bueno, algo ha de pasarle. “Me golpee fuerte en la rodilla y no puedo seguir llevándolas,” las cajas, se refiere, con palabras que salen más como una torpe advertencia que como cualquier otra cosa.

Con la tetera recién puesta en la estufa y una pequeña cantidad de platos sucios detrás suyo delatando su previo snack de media noche, el muchacho decide que dirigirse a la figura que ahora le acompaña es un mejor plan que, bueno, esperar pacientemente a que el agua hierva. “Tengo un par de tés que me sobraron de la visita al jardín botánico.” Valeriana y Manzanilla, lee la etiqueta del pequeño paquete.

Well, today is going just dandy. First, I lose my favorite red scarf somewhere around the Lima Bean, then I somehow managed to spill my medium drip to-go all over my favorite blazer mere moments before Warblers practice, and now — to top it all off, I was just forced to discover that my very own brother is starring in a new variation of the FreeCreditRating.com commercial. Without telling me! I don’t even know why anyone would need another one of those ads when the first one clearly already went viral.

— No soy ninguna experta en el arte culinario, pero tampoco sabía que podían hacerse tantos platillos distintos con la misma idea: "Queso, punto final" —a la cocina suiza parecía gustarle ese ingrediente, eso era claro—. ¿Has probado alguno? I’m sure most of you noticed I haven’t been around much lately. I apologize for that but it was for good reason, outside of classes and such, I had a big surge of creative energy and was finally able to buckle down to work on some new music. Some of which has been sitting in my notebook untouched for a few months. But I’ve managed to crawl out of my hole and can’t wait til you all can hear my new stuff. I think it’s some of my best work yet.
