living in an mcu-centric marble world is sometimes interesting bc i see people wondering who it is that has to work in the aftermath of the large scale battles that take place due to the films not ever actually showing that part bc time constraints i would assume,   but also that question is   . . .   answered in the comics   &   often the answer is not really one that i see people actually consider as an option?

like i often see people think that when a battle happens   &   it destroys massive parts of a city that the heroes who fought in it just leave afterwards   &   then community services work to put themselves back together   &   have to struggle to pay for damages   &   rescue people.

but that’s.   not the case.   at all?   heroes who fight in those battles have to also serve as first responders,   too,   &   switch immediately from the battle into relief efforts in order to save as many people as they can bc they’re the only people on site capable of doing so.   there are also various foundations   &   organizations in place to help the displaced,   injured,   &   families of the dead,   yeah,   but in regards to the superheroes involved,   the day doesn’t end just bc the fighting did.

#i do mention this being more of a question in the mcu bc. it is. #this has been actual canon in the comics for years #when the battle ends the heroes don't just leave they get to a different kind of work #there are panels of steve leading efforts to search for the injured #there are panels of vision rescuing people #there are panels of nat directing survivors #this i assume generally applies to all superhero groups but it's esp applied to the aven/gers #they are often supported by the local communities affected if there are able bodied people left to help #& eventually proper search & rescue teams are deployed but #the superheroes are first on site so it's part of the job to try & save people caught in the crossfire #i don't know why everyone assumes that heroes just leave when the fighting is done it's very weird alkgjds #anyways good morning i'm gonna get food & see what the red room takeout is about then i'll see to things #* ooc. / shitposting from marble's basement. #delete.

anyways here is a reason the aven/gers are so very prominent   &   baked into so much of the world at large.   they don’t just exist to show up   &   fight off an army,   then disappear for a few years to come back   &   do it again.   they’re in constant work   &   motion,   constant boots on the ground helping people with daily issues on top of fighting the big bad   &   cleaning up in the aftermath.

#it's interesting to think about how public opinion of the aven/gers is so low in the mcu #when compared to the opinion people hold of them in the comics bc the comics do have them actually doing little things #like. they're easier to like when you see them helping clean up #they're easier to think of as real proper heroes when you see them helping with natural disasters #they're easier to sympathize with when you see them directing traffic or saving cats from trees #they're just...... easier to imagine as real people when they're helping real people with real problems as they do #which isn't to say that some people don't hate them bc the absolutely do #governments in particular fuckin loathe them sometimes as well as some other organizations & groups #but overall you see a much higher opinion of them bc they have a much higher standard of conduct #anyways this is a superhero support blog first & a rp blog like fourth & i'm gonna do the takeover thing now i'll be back #* ooc. / shitposting from marble's basement.
