(related to your tags in the crytyping ask) I can honestly see Dennis and Dee eating lunch on the steps of a therapist's office and loudly talking about how therapy never works and therapists don't really care about you and they don't Understand You or Why You're Hurting and how it's never worth the money or time and how it's better to just Lean Into The Void. I've only seen seasons two and three so far but I can totally see canon Dee and Dennis do this, maybe Mac also. Charlie would come along for the food and friendship and try to contribute but kinda miss the point and end up being told to shut up until he just catches woodlice while the others do the Convincing. Frank stays back at the bar to hold down the fort and while he agrees therapists are good for nothing except scamming into getting you prescription drugs you can sell for a profit, he thinks doing it so passive agressively is very ineffective and if you wanna convince people of something u gotta give them the sales pitch directly.

hahshdjdjs this is way longer than I meant it to be but I am Captivated by the idea of the anti-recovery gang..... YKNOW WHAT... while reading this i was like. oh yeah. yeah ur right that is literally just the show. esp if ur planning on watching the whole show u will definitely see that unfold further BSJDB only diff is that they go for more denial than outright denouncing any sort of recovery. with a few circumstance adjustments i could very much see any of them going from full on denial/leaning into warped but more grandiose perceptions of themselves to getting strongly attached to a diagnosis instead .. esp w dennis cuz he has like no identity formed for himself like at all lol. slippery slope for sure..
