Ok, please don't hate me for saying this... But I do not like Hel Micaiah.

That's not to say that it isn't a good Resplendent, because it's a pretty neat Resplendent... But I don't like it.

Resplendent Micaiah is drawn by Sachie:

The incorporation isn't bad; the armor's very clearly Hel styled, the scarf is ragged, and the colors are an interesting pick. There's also the skirt that comes down from the armor which is cool. My issue, and where I don't like this Resplendent, is with the torso area. The pink parts of her torso aren't the translucent energy like in most Hel Resplendents, it's fabric. Which you can see in the damage artwork when you see it torn. Like... come on dude, commit to the bit! It's always the female Hel Resplendents that chicken out and make the translucent bits fabric instead. It's the same issue I have with Lachesis and Karla's Hel Resplendents, and it seems like ALL the female Hel Resplendents, save for Florina, have this issue. Like the artists are so horny to show some skin that they don't wanna follow the logic of Hel Resplendents. Weeeeaak.

That being said, the art is good, at least. Nice colors, posing is pretty good, anatomy is decent for the most part (I can't get over how weird Micaiah's boobs look...), and expressions are okay.

I can't say I really know enough about Micaiah to say whether Hel fits her or not. I'll leave that up to the Radiant fans.

Overall, despite my bias against it, this is a good 8/10 Resplendent. I just HATE the glowy bits being delegated to fabric instead of... you know, actual glowy bits. None of the male Hel Resplendents make it fabric, and for all my bitching over Florina's outfit, hers wasn't fabric either. These artists for most of the female Hel Resplendents shouldn't have been drawing Hel Resplendents if they wanted to show more skin.
