Idolish7 Part 3 Chapter 19.4 summary

We pretty much get confirmed information here so I should be happy, but i’m still internally suffering. Next chapter is gonna take a while because it’s soooooo long x_x

Otoharu introduces the new song that they’ll be performing for MOP (from the release of the new MV preview that Banri posted a little after the update, we know this song is called Nanatsuiro Realize). Nagi is pleased because it is a song that will really emphasize their bond. Everyone is really excited and believes it’s the perfect song for them.

Anesagi introduces the new song that TRIGGER will be performing for MOP (they finally put Daybreak Interlude in the game!!!). They also believe this is the perfect song for them and that they will not only be performing for the fans, but for the people who have worked so hard for them. It’s like the people who arranged the song are wishing them luck.

Ryo points out that TRIGGER and Idolish7 are in the fight for the #1 spot on the MOP. Since the MOP will be getting a lot of publicity he plans on spreading the news that Tenn and RIku are twins right after the performance. It would end up causing a lot of suspicion among the public and TRIGGER probably wouldn’t be able to perform on another stage again without judgment since they just keep hiding things. Touma is appalled at Ryo’s plan.

Iori figures that Tsukumo will probably be up to something due to the MOP (as per usual) and asks who is the next to work with ZOOL. Nagi is scheduled for a modeling gig with Minami. Yamato mentions that Minami had said that Nagi’s best performance was during Sakura Message. Iori also mentions that Minami spent some time overseas and that he should be careful.

After the photoshoot, Minami and Nagi are brought in for a private interview for the magazine they shot for. Nagi says he’s up for answering anything, whether is about his type of woman to the anime he likes, he’s an open book. The interviewer starts off by bringing up Northmare since Nagi is originally from there and Minami studied abroad there and asks why Minami chose Northmare. He says it’s because since he was a kid he wanted to see the aurora. The interviewer commends him on a performance where he was racing a dog sled. Minami says that was another reason he wanted to go to Northmare. Nagi says he’s happy that made him want to go there.

The interviewer asks Nagi what kind of place Northmare is. Nagi says it’s beautiful and you can see the aurora. Minami starts talking about the political situation in Northmare and how it is a constitutional monarchy but that the royal family still has influence. Nagi cuts in, believing this could lead to a misunderstanding. Minami says that alot of the younger people want the country to return to beinga monarchy, including the first crown prince. Nagi says they wouldn’t do anything that might affect international relations and Minami says that those match the thoughts of the second prince of Northmare who believes in an international society and has been more active in strengthening foreign relations than the minister of foreign affairs. There were even rumors that he managed to resolve an issue with an anti-government group. The second prince apparently developed this point of view after meeting a composer that was visiting Northmare (Are you telling me that Nagi is the freaking 2nd prince of Northmare?! I WANT YOU TO SAY IT I7). Minami thinks the whole idea is childish. He also mentions that something about musicians disappearing because of the government (? someone help me on this one).

The interviewer tries to bring them back to the interview and Minami laughs and apologizes for talking about a topic not meant for the magazine. After the interview is over Nagi goes around looking for Minami but is greeted by Banri. Banri thinks Minami left already and Nagi declares that he’s going back to Northmare. Banri freaks telling Nagi that he can’t because his schedule is packed (LOL Banri’s priorities). He asks what’s wrong and Nagi asks who the composer was for Sakura Message. Banri tells him it’s the normal composer they’ve had. Nagi asks if there was anything different about the delivery and Banri didn’t notice anything in particular. Nagi laughs to himself while quietly saying that this isn’t a laughing matter.

Minami is pleased with himself at Ryo’s office (wth did you just do Minami). Touma takes notice since it’s not normal. Minami asks if Touma is okay since he keeps on looking at his smart phone.

Momo receives a rabbit chat from Touma asking to meet to talk about the MOP taking place tomorrow. Momo says he’ll go meet him alone since Yuki has work right after this. He’ll call once he’s done. Yuki is a little concerned but Momo reassures him that NO_MAD’s Touma is a good kid so there shouldn’t be anything to worry about. Yuki says he’s still worried but he’ll wait for Momo’s call. Momo continues trying to reassure him but Yuki says he’ll always worry about Momo around those people because some people just can’t be saved, like he had been in the past. He admits that in the past he didn’t treat people the way he should have and if it weren’t for Momo’s words to him he would have continued this way. But fallen people like Tsukumo would bring other’s down with him. But because of the way he was back then, it resulted in things like Banri’s injury. Momo believes that Yuki was never a bad person to begin with Yuki disagrees, he wasn’t able to properly make up for what he did before and now there are scars that don’t disappear with time.

Yuki says it’d be good if Tsukumo just self destructs and he wouldn’t even mind if he was treated like an animal. He just doesn’t want Momo to get involved. Momo laughs and reassures him that he’ll be okay and can’t be defeated so easily. Yuki asks if he’s like Superman and Momo laughs and agrees.

Momo finds out from Touma that Ryo plans to out Tenn and Riku as twins but posting the info online after MOP. Normally it wouldn’t be a problem but because of the timing combined with MOP and the rumors that everything was staged it can become a really big problem for all of them. The media would feed into it and believe that all of this was one big plan for a promotion. Momo thanks him and asks why Touma chose to tell him. Touma believes that they should leave their family out of this mess. Ryo shows up to mess everything up.

He greets Touma and is clearly suspicious of finding Momo and Touma together. Touma tries to make an excuse but Ryo asks if he can join in their conversation. Momo tries to play it off as if he invited Touma out instead of the other way around and tells Touma that he’s done with him and that he should go home. Ryo suggests that he and Momo go to Momo’s apartment and asks if it’s okay to invite a few friends over. Ryo tells Touma to leave and not tell anyone about what happened here and threatens that if he does tell anyone that something may happen to his family and former band mates.

Yamato checks on Nagi because Nagi’s DVD has just been sitting at the menu for a long time. Nagi says he’s trying to escape into the 2D world. With Kokona’s magic spell Haruki is safe and is walking through a forest in Northmare. He says that the him here isn’t the real him and that this version of him is in a parallel world. Yamato feeds into it asking if anyone else is in that world. He says that with Kokona’s magic, Mitsuki is a magical idol. He goes on to describe what everyone else is doing in that world and that he’s on top of a tower watching all of them. Yamato asks if he can cast a spell too - that the real Nagi is here with them and that good kids sleep in their beds. Nagi thinks that’s a great magical spell, but magic disappears. He recently learned that too.

Idolish7 part 3 story 16.4

The least tense chapter of this entire update... Summary below the cut

The person who freaks out over the celebrity in the street shows up again and Wilfred asks Nagi if she’s referring to him. Nagi disagrees and thinks it’s someone else.

Yamato is out shopping with Riku and Mitsuki for limited edition Kokona goods to help cheer Nagi up about the whole Sakura Haruki situation. They hope that a clue about his whereabouts comes up soon. Yamato was able to find out some information about Northmare, including that it is a fairly rich country since it has a lot of valuable resources and small population. In the Northmare society the nobility is also decently young. Mitsuki comments that such a person from Northmare is also an otaku and a genius amongst other things. Riku compares it to Akihabara where there are electronics stores, anime shops, and maid cafes.

The same person who freaked out earlier about a celebrity reacts.

The managers are meeting and Okazaki is offering to take care of the bill an encourages them all the to eat. Tsumugi is hesitant but Anesagi encourages her to get more comfortable around them since she’s been working so hard with all of Idolish7’s issues. Anesagi teases Banri for doting on Tsumugi and even teases him for buying a new mouse for Tsumugi when she mentioned that her current one hurts her hand. Anesagi is surprised that a man with his face would get a present like that and should at least give accessories as a present instead of a mouse. Okazaki and Banri think the mouse is cute since it’s pink and shaped like a rabbit. Anesagi is exasperated because they’re surrounded by “high school girls”

Anesagi recalls a headline that was about Gaku being seen with a beautiful woman in front of an apartment building but he was actually with Anesagi. Okazaki asks how Gaku reacted. Gaku congratulated Anesagi on being called a beautiful woman. Banri agrees. So it shows that the members don’t actually care too much about scandals.

Anesagi states that if Idolish7 were a female group they all probably would have confessed to Banri by now because of his face. Okazaki thinks that if Re:Vale were made up of two beautiful women instead it would be hectic. Anesagi asks which one Okazaki would pursue if that were the case. Okazaki thinks he’d probably pursue both (Okazaki! You dog! XD)

Banri asks Anesagi what kind of person they prefer. Anesagi almost slips by saying Nagi, but changes it to the Prince Charming type.

Torao asks why they’re at a butler café. Touma received a coupon for the butler café so he wanted to honor it. Minami says this is typical of Touma based on his fortune telling. Touma sarcastically thanks Minami for his commentary. Torao asks why he invited them all out and Touma just wanted to deepen the group bond since they all have the day off. Minami says he has to leave soon. Haruka will stay just to eat a parfait. Touma just wants them to become more intimate with each other. Torao comments that intimate implies bedroom stuff. Haruka asks if he can get pancakes too and Touma tells him that he’s welcome to get whatever he wants (dammit Haru, how can I dislike you if you’re like this?!). Torao and Minami leave. Touma asks Haruka why he became an idol. He says that half of it is that he wants to get back at Kujo and the other is to surpass Zero, Kujo, and Tenn. Touma asks what will happen after that. Haruka says he’d probably laugh at his fans and tell them that he never liked them (wth). Touma asks what about after that. Haruka never thought that far ahead about it.

Iori is trying to buy something that would make Riku happy and enlists help from Sougo and Tamaki, but he’s thinking about getting stuff that would make a child happy like a teddy bear or a toy. Tamaki wonders if that kind of gift would be more suited for Iori. Tamaki suggests Iori get something that he would like Mimi-chan or Pero-chan and Iori gets defensive that he buys that stuff to study why society likes those characters so much and not because he likes them (LOL). They come across a rainbow colored keychain that they think Riku would like but Iori wonders if Riku would be happy with him giving the gift. Mezzo” thinks Riku would definitely be happy.

Yamato, Riku, and Mitsuki lined up to get Nagi a Kokona body pillow and he’s super happy. Riku is happy with the seven colored (rainbow) keychain Iori got for him. Tsumugi comes to visit the dorms for the first time in a while. Mitsuki asks her if she has work to do. Tsumugi came to drop off some stamina soup that she made. While the others are excited about having dinner, Tamaki asks Sougo if it’s okay not to tell the rest of the members that he’s going back to see his family tomorrow. Sougo doesn’t want to worry them and doesn’t want Tamaki to tell them either.
