So Skarbrand won’t give him the time of day. That’s perfectly fine. Who was he to push his suite against the Reaper of Legend?
Tumblr media
-- Was what Azazel didn’t think as he sauntered towards yet another grouping of Khornate Daemons, wearing the form of a more nondescript Daemon Prince of Slaanesh: Agrammon. The Lord, a Herald of Khorne, had given him much the same warm welcome as the last few: none at all. But it wasn’t entry he was seeking this time. He thanked Tzeen’neth for his entreaty of peace between the Gods and their children, otherwise his schemes wouldn’t be nearly as easy as thhey had been.
“The timing is just odd is all I’m saying.” The Daemon prince said, examining his nails and plucking away a stray grain of dirt. “ The Exile goes rogue, and then suddenly, so do so many of Khorne’s children. Once loyal, now turncoats, walking in the Reaper’s footsteps. Drives one to wonder.”
The thing about Khornates was that they weren’t especially smart. Like their god, they were ever easy to manipulate, to insinuate and incense into action with purred words. Azazel had made no claims, but rather several leading observations.
All of which led to one conclusion. The Herald turned over the information in his mind and found it making sense. Just like the rest before him. Yes...of course! The Blood Traitors must be emboldened by Skarbrand! He had put from his mind any other reasons, such as liaisons between the Ascendant Prince and his own Blood Father. Those were ridiculous of course.
No, this was far, far more reasonable.
