Anyway it’s crazy how much cooler Benedict’s ending was than Roland’s, not only did you have a way better final boss fight with cool dialogue from the recommended units, but the downside morally grey complications felt more natural. Less “oh we decided to join the really evil JRPG religion and created a really evil peace” and more “we seized power, created a new dynasty, ushered in an age of industry and left the most vulnerable of our citizens in the dust”.
