Pitra Dosh Nivaran Puja in Trimbakeshwar
People do Pitra Dosh Nivaran Puja is by a person born under the ninth house where Sun and Rahu merge. If someone’s forefathers have not accomplished peace because of the religious ceremonies at the time of death, then this Dosha evolves in the horoscope of the person.

Pitra Dosh ka Nivaran
Give a second Yagnopavetham to the peepal tree in the name of Lord Vishnu. It is believed that Lord Vishnu stays in the peepal tree. Worship to the Peepal tree and Lord Vishnu.
Chanting Gayatri Mantra
Do 108 Pradakshinam around the peepal tree and keep tying the tree with a white raw thread. Also, in each Pradakshinam, give one sweet which is made up of milk to the peepal and keep reciting the mantra “Om Namo Bhagavathe Vasudevaya Namah”.
Giving Pindaan to the placate forefathers, is a ceremony to be followed.
After finishing Pradakshinam leave those sweets there only or you can offer them to a noble.
Somvati Amavasya is the favorable day to placate Pitra Devathas and to get away from Pitra Dosh. On this day search for a peepal tree nearby and give one Yagnopavetham to the peepal tree.

It is best to do the Pooja at Trimbakeshwar Temple, Nashik. People can also do it in Badrinath, Trimbakeshwar, Rameshwaram, Haridwar, or Gaya by a Pandit following all the ceremonies. People can do this pooja in Kasganj (U.P.), Bhimashankar temple (Maharashtra), Kaithal (Haryana), and Mahamaya Mandir at Ratanpur (Chhattisgarh).

So, in return, this person pays the Karmic debt by going through different punishments decided for those debts in various spheres of his life.
