a cheat code for the isc (and icse? idk i forgot the syllabus) students for english language(which I came to know today). although I'm sure that no one from this website finds it hard to find the similar meanings of the phrases from the comprehension. but if by any chance you're struggling with that, then
the phrases are most likely to be written in the way it is used in the passage.
example: if the answer is 'gorging' then the question is MOST likely to be 'eating in a greedy manner'
OR
if the question is 'hypnotized' then the answer provided in the passage is in past tense too. 'mesmerized'

Importance of Secondary Education in India.
A secondary school education is important as it introduces students to more advanced and specific subjects that lay a good academic foundation for when they eventually leave school. In addition, it gives children the opportunity to further develop their social skills and communication skills.
Tumblr media
Secondary education lasts 4 years. Students aged 14 to 18 complete the following 2 stages: lower secondary education, concluded with exams for a Standard X diploma; upper secondary education, concluded with exams for a Standard XII diploma or a Vocational Standard XII diploma.
Secondary education begins in grade 9 and lasts until grade 12. The secondary stage is broken into two, two year cycles, generally referred to as General/Lower Secondary School, or ‘Standard X’, and Upper/Senior Secondary School, or ‘Standard XII’. Education continues to be free at government schools, although private education is more common at the secondary level. Public examinations are held at the end of both cycles and grant access to grade 11 and university level study respectively. General curriculum for lower secondary school in India consists of three languages (including the regional language, an elective, and English language), Mathematics, Science and Technology, Social Sciences, Work/Pre-Vocational Education, Art, and Physical Education. Secondary schools are affiliated with Central or State boards which administer the Secondary School Certificate at the end of grade 10.
Based upon performance in the first two years of secondary school, and upon the SSC results, students may enter Senior/Upper Secondary School. Upper Secondary School offers the students a chance to select a ‘stream’ or concentration of study, offering science, commerce, and arts/humanities. Education is administered both in schools or two-year junior colleges which are often affiliated with degree granting universities or colleges. Curriculum for the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination is determined by the boards of secondary education of which there are 31. Although the HSCE is the most common Standard XII examination, the All India Senior School Certificate (CBSE), Indian School Certificate, Certificate of Vocational Education (CISCE), Senior Secondary Certification (NIOS), Intermediate Certificate and the Pre-University Certificate are also offered.

Important Tips to Score High Marks for ISC Aspirants
Tumblr media
Here is a short list of important tips you can follow as an ISC aspirant to score high marks in your board exams:
A lot of us miss this step a lot of times. Always, I repeat, always read the updated syllabus and paper pattern rules published by CISCE.
Get hold of the previous years’ question papers and start practicing as soon as you can. Pay extra attention to the type and structure of questions set by the board, especially in the last 5 years.
Do not miss your practical classes and try to ensure that you are bagging full marks in your assignments, projects and practical tests held before your board exams.
Start taking classes from good home tutors who specifically teach ISC science-stream students. Home Tutor Kolkata is a great tutoring institution where you can find some of the best tutors in town.
Make studying a regular habit. There is no way around this step because no matter what you do, you can never score good marks without putting in some effort.
I hope that these tips were helpful. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

The ICSE Curriculum: A Comprehensive Guide to Quality Education
The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) curriculum is a renowned and globally recognized educational system that aims to provide students with a holistic and well-rounded education. Established in 1958 by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), the ICSE curriculum has gained popularity for its rigorous academic standards and comprehensive approach to learning.
The Foundation of ICSE Curriculum
The ICSE curriculum is founded on the belief that education should not only focus on academic excellence but also on the overall development of a student's personality. It is designed to offer a balanced mix of academics, co-curricular activities, and extracurricular pursuits. The curriculum is recognized for its in-depth and analytical approach to subjects, and it promotes critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills among students.
Subject Variety and Depth
One of the distinguishing features of the ICSE curriculum is the wide variety of subjects it offers. It covers subjects ranging from core subjects like Mathematics, Science, and Language to subjects like Environmental Education, Art, and Physical Education. This diversity allows students to explore their interests and potential areas of expertise.
In addition to subject diversity, ICSE also places an emphasis on in-depth understanding. The curriculum delves deeper into each subject compared to other education boards, which helps students develop a more profound knowledge of the subjects they study.
Holistic Learning
ICSE believes that education goes beyond textbooks and exams. The curriculum promotes holistic learning by including co-curricular and extracurricular activities that enhance a student's skills and talents. From art and music to sports and community service, ICSE schools encourage students to participate in a range of activities to foster a well-rounded development.
Language and Literature
A unique feature of the ICSE curriculum is its strong focus on language and literature. In addition to teaching multiple languages, it encourages the study of English literature in-depth. The emphasis on literature is designed to develop strong communication skills, critical thinking, and a deep appreciation for the arts.
Examinations and Assessment
ICSE conducts examinations for students in grades 10 and 12, known as the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and the Indian School Certificate (ISC) examinations, respectively. These exams are known for their comprehensive assessment of students' knowledge and skills. The ICSE and ISC examinations are well-respected globally and are considered equivalent to international standards.
Adaptability and Recognition
The ICSE curriculum is known for its flexibility and adaptability. It allows schools to select subjects and teaching methods that align with the school's philosophy and the needs of its students. This adaptability contributes to the reputation of ICSE schools for their diverse and innovative teaching methods.
Furthermore, the ICSE curriculum is recognised internationally, which makes it a preferred choice for students who may be considering higher education or careers abroad. The curriculum's emphasis on critical thinking and analytical skills prepares students for the challenges of both national and international educational systems.
Challenges and Considerations
While the ICSE curriculum has many strengths, it also poses challenges. The depth and rigor of the curriculum can be demanding for some students, and they may require additional support. It's important for parents and educators to strike a balance between academic excellence and the overall well-being of the students.
In conclusion, the ICSE curriculum offers a well-rounded, in-depth, and globally recognized educational experience. Its focus on subject diversity, depth, holistic learning, and adaptability ensures that students are well-prepared for the challenges of the future. The ICSE curriculum continues to be a preferred choice for parents and students seeking a comprehensive and quality education in India
