It has been three months since our last market update in March and greater challenges are coming to our raw material industry. We must face slow demand in the post-covid period. Different from what people normally expect, Compensatory Consumption (so-called Revenge Spending) does not take place. Governments of all countries are trying to encourage spending by using a variety of measures. Increased interest rates by the Fed helps bring inflation under control, however, it also leads to a slower economy and high debts including US government deficit and personal debts.
