Dragula hot take: The boulets have a HUGE problem with coddling famous queens. It happend with Madelynn, it happened with Louisiana, and it's happening with Fantasia. They turn out mediocre looks and get so much praise. I know they make for good tv but still, kinda lame.

On a lighter note, I ADORE Nio, Throb, and Jarvis (rest in peace...again...) orgotik eats to, great cast this year

fantasia looking right into the barrel of the camera during ep6 extermination and saying, "after this they're going to call me fantasia royale...MAMA!" and immediately screaming bloody murder after is hands down the funniest moment of the season so far. i love her

throb: yes you had one of the best looks this ep but DAMMIT WHY didn't you think of wearing a mitre (pope hat) with devil horns PAINTED to show in blacklight???

for everyone stressing how they needed to create "two looks," they all mostly stuck to a variation on the same essential look and eliminating the devil horns from throb's first look would have really elevated it past that imho

#like it was always fun to see the difference when the blacklight came on #but they were mostly just accentuating what was already there #nio's look blacklight or no was absolutely fucking killer though plus props to her for the courage to do embrace her masculinity like that #plus her broski quips to the judges were incredible! #dragula #dragula spoilers #throb zombie

Im actually obsessed with jay kay like he’s so polarising. Ive seen people say he’s annoying and his look was awful but I don’t see it like I loved it. I think he’s got an insane amount of charisma I can’t help but root for him

i didn't care for his look and i understand why he went home, but i will miss my favorite tumblr sexyman

i kind of understand why people like jay kay now. however, fantasia i totally Do Not Get. same with anna phylactic. ork is still one of my top picks because they're like "what if bjork was hamburger meat clown." i still think they'd benefit from 'cleaned up' looks but it's such a minor nitpick. nio and throb are about equal for me. everyone else i don't really care about.

nio and throb bro-ing out in the cauldron was so funny. nio is such a girl and throb is such a dude and i love trans people!!!!!

also nio being like "thanks bro, thanks man, you wanna go to the strip club?" like having a BLAST playing that ridiculous character and poking holes in masculinity while staying true to herself, EMOSH

if nio hadn't turned it the fuck out like that, throb would have won. i feel like they're trying to prevent a dela situation where throb wins everything. but blackberri is STIFF competition -- her look was incredible and very thoughtful about detail. she's been impressing me from the beginning. absolutely all of them close to each other.

it, unfortunately, was cynthia's week to go, but i don't think that orkgotik is really a going concern anymore. he's not really showing versatility at all. love that boi, and i think he'll go far in his career in general -- probably in the film industry -- but the top three i'm currently imagining are throb, nio, and blackberri, unless fantasia pulls something absolutely outrageous out this week. she's been a versatile, creative, fierce competitor and i wouldn't be surprised.
