Shirley McClellan got so many requests for folks to tell her what she thought about the Long Live The Queen cigar. We literally sold out of every size except the lancero in hours... (we have about 5 lanceros left) ! Here is Shirley's take on the Lancero vitola of Long Live The Queen cigar! First let me say the packaging is beautiful and surprisingly awesome. I GIVE ALL PRAISE to Robert Caldwell for honoring a Black in the cigar packaging! Two bands adorn the Queen. The primary band uses a gold leaf motif and presents an image of an African Queen in all her splendor replete with golden jewels. The left side of the band identities it as a Caldwell product while the right side displays the year 2013 the year before the company was founded. The band is as beautiful if not even more than the company’s Anastasia. A thin secondary white and gold band is placed just below the primary and declares it as the Long Live The Queen. This cigar is royalty at its best. The Long Live The Queen is an aromatic cigar with a complex spiciness from the first draw to the last! Country of Origin: Dominican Republic Factory: El Maestro Vitola: Lancero Strength: Medium Flavor Profile: Cedar, Chocolate, Cinnamon, Cocoa, Fruit, Malt, Nut, Pepper, Spice Wrapper: Indonesian Cameroon Binder: Sumatra Filler: Dominican and Nicaraguan Summary: Caldwell and Ventura created a truly *royal* cigar with the Long Live The Queen and we truly hope she lives on as a regular offering from Caldwell Cigars. The flavors and aromas were pleasant and well balanced from pre-light down to the nub. I especially enjoyed the early pepper at the first draw with malt and cocoa notes and then the later the cinnamon spice near the end. Construction was spot on – checking the boxes for long solid ash, burn, and even oil development above the burn line. Yes this is a box buy! Forget getting 1 or 2 just buy the whole 10 box ct! Long Live the Queen is the new line of cigars from the Caldwell Cigar Company that was announced late in 2022. If you recall, last year their was a terrible fire that burned down Tabacalera William Ventura, the primary factory used for creating the Caldwell portfoli (at Fire and Smoke Cigar Parlor) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cn2gPkguELF/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

The Long Live The Queen cigars are finally here.... Fire and Smoke has every size! Boutique brand owner Robert Caldwell has released a new line of cigars called Long Live the Queen, that he says has been aging for a year after rolling. Made in the Dominican Republic, Long Live the Queen is rolled at the El Maestro factory, a smaller factory owned by William Ventura. It’s a four-country blend consisting of a reddish-brown Cameroon cover leaf, a Sumatra binder grown in Indonesia and a mix of Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. The line comes in four sizes: Queen’s Sword, a lancero measuring 7 inches by 38 ring gauge ; Queen’s Court, a 5-by-52 robusto ; Queen’s Sceptre, a 6-by-50 toro ; and Queen’s Club, a vitola the company refers to as toro gordo measuring 6 by 56. Long Live the Queen A fifth size called Ace of Hearts, which is box pressed and measures 6 by 52, that size will be capped at 700 boxes. According to Caldwell, the cigars are medium-full in strength. ( I will give my review after I try it!) The new brand continues the royal theme from Caldwell, who also produces Long Live the King and The King is Dead (at Fire and Smoke Cigar Parlor) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cnz0wriOe5H/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
