Of all the hyphenated Jeans, Jean-Louis Trintignant seems to me the most interesting. He doesn't have the lawless sex appeal of Jean-Paul Belmondo, and he didn't grow up on screen in Truffaut films like Jean-Pierre Léaud, but his career has been marked by exceptional performances of characters under great internal pressure. From the young husband cuckolded by Brigitte Bardot in And God Created Woman ... (Roger Vadim, 1956) and the mousy law student in whom Vittorio Gassman tries to instill some joie de vivre in Il Sorpasso (Dino Risi, 1962), through the dogged but eventually frustrated investigator in Z (Costa-Gavras, 1969) and the Catholic intellectual who spends a chaste night with a beautiful woman in My Night at Maud's (Eric Rohmer, 1969), to the guilt-ridden retired judge in Three Colors: Red (Krzysztof Kieslowski, 1994) and the duty-bound caregiver to an aged wife in Amour (Michael Haneke, 2012), Trintignant compiled more than 60 years of great performances. His most popular film, A Man and a Woman (Claude Lelouch, 1966), is probably his least characteristic role: a romantic lead as a race-car driver, opposite Anouk Aimée. His role in The Conformist, one of his best performances, is more typical: the severely repressed Fascist spy, Marcello Clerici, who is sent to assassinate his old anti-Fascist professor (Enzo Tarascio). Marcello's desire to be "normal" is rooted in his consciousness of having been born to wealth but to parents who have abused it to the point of decadence, with the result that he becomes a Fascist and marries a beautiful but vulgar bourgeoise (Stefania Sandrelli). Bertolucci's screenplay places a heavier emphasis on Marcello's repression of homosexual desire than does its source, a novel by Alberto Moravia. In both novel and film, the young Marcello is nearly raped by the chauffeur, Lino (Pierre Clémenti), whom Marcello shoots and then flees. But in the film, Lino survives to be discovered by Marcello years later on the streets the night of Mussolini's fall. Marcello, whose conformity does an about-face, sics the mob on Lino by pointing him out as a Fascist, and in the last scene we see him in the company of a young male prostitute. This equating of gayness with corruption is offensive and trite, but very much of its era. Even the sumptuous production -- cinematography by Vittorio Storaro, design by Ferdinando Scarfiotti, music by Georges Delerue -- doesn't overwhelm the presence of Trintignant's intensely repressed Marcello, with his stiff, abrupt movements and his tightly controlled stance and walk. If The Conformist is a great film, much of its greatness comes from Trintignant's performance.

Political Prisoners of the USSA: Cody Wilson Joins Snowden, Assange, Ulbricht

Land of the free? Protectors of freedom of speech? Right to own arms?

I’m not sure what country you’re thinking of… if there is one, it’s Liberland. But the last place with those values is the US… or USSA as I call it.

The creator of Defense Distributed---a website offering downloadable files that can be used to 3-D print firearms from home---has been released from being kidnapped (jailed) after paying a $150,000 ransom (bond).

In what could possibly be a honeypot setup by the state, Cody Wilson was arrested and charged with “sexually assaulting a minor” in Travis County, Texas.

The timing cannot be discounted: the entrepreneur and gun-rights activist has been at the center of an ongoing legal battle over the existence and operations of Defense Distributed.

Prior to the arrest, Wilson was hanging out in Taiwan where there is no extradition treaty. It makes one think he was wise enough to know the government was coming for him.

As reported by Cnet:

“...the State Department settled a legal case that allowed an organization called Defense Distributed to release those plans online….That prompted 19 states to file a lawsuit seeking to block the free distribution of those files due to public safety concerns....” Whether or not the allegations hold any water remains to be seen. Using alleged female victims to discredit a man’s reputation is an old tactic of the powers that shouldn’t be. The same type of suspicious allegations have followed whistleblower Julian Assange.

Another freedom fighter, Ross Ulbricht of the Silk Road, was framed of “hiring a killer” to smear his public persona, even though those charges, nor any evidence, were ever even taken to court.

A similar (yet more popular) circus is currently unfolding with Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Defense Distributed has posed a threat to the state’s restrictions for years now. It’s like the Bitcoin of firearms---crypto guns.

The state’s quest to disarm its citizens (except the police of course) will fail practically and theoretically as long as people can arm up at the press of a button.

Gun control advocates have seethed with fury at Cody’s operation, namely because ALL firearm regulations are rendered useless when anyone can simply 3-D print their own weapon.

Self-defense for a digital age; it’s truly revolutionary.

But now Wilson has been forced to quit the company he founded.

So, what if this accuser is actually malicious and is lying about her age on adult websites to extort men for money?

There’s a possibility that she was already in counseling due to a prior arrest and court order, so she had handlers.

What if Wilson gave her money because she blackmailed him and said she would report him as having had sex with her if he didn't pay up?

No one should be automatically guilty of an act where the malicious, fraudulent actions of others could make someone guilty by default.

In an interview just a few weeks ago, Cody had this to say:

Yet, according to CBS:

“Austin police received an arrest warrant for Wilson for sexual assault after a counselor contacted the police on Aug. 22 and said a girl under the age of 17 had told her she had sex with Wilson after meeting through a dating website SugarDaddyMeet.com. Police said Wilson and the girl met at a South Austin coffee shop before going to a North Austin hotel, where he allegedly assaulted her and paid her $500 in cash.”

Cody appears ready to fight the allegations, however. His attorney released the following statement:

“We are glad that Cody is back in Texas again where we can work with him on his case. That’s our focus right now, representing our client and preparing his defense.”

The fact that “child” and “sexual assault” are the mainstream headlines when a girl who supposedly said she was 18 (the arbitrary age by which you magically change into a woman by government edict), by using an adult hookup site, and who took payment for the consensual, voluntarily agreed-upon sex shows how much the media works as the propaganda arm of the government.

If it even happened at all, the headline should be something like, “Cody Wilson tricked by young, experienced girl into paying for sex under false pretenses.”

But, since when does the truth matter in the USSA?

The 3-D printing pioneer was invited to be a featured guest speaker at Anarchapulco, The World’s Premier Liberty Event.

Considering the circumstances, it’s uncertain if he’ll be able to attend.

All should take note, however, of just how easily it is for the US government to frame people, track someone down and kidnap them within days. Hours after ALL the mainstream media outlets pushed the story of Wilson being charged, he was identified as to his whereabouts in Taiwan, had his passport immediately revoked and found himself in custody.

Even though Taiwan doesn’t have an extradition agreement with the fasco-communist US government, once they revoked his passport, Taiwan had the opportunity to remove him for being in the country illegally.

For all those involved in anything cryptocurrency related or anti-state, I have always said there are two important things to do. #1 is get out of the USSA immediately. They can and will target you and take you down by any means necessary. And, #2, is try to get a second passport (and even better renounce your US passport) for further protection.

Things are just getting worse and worse in the “land of the free”. Ross Ulbricht, who only set up a free market website, was given numerous life sentences for such a crime in the highest security prison in the US. It’s so bad that Ross recently asked to be put into solitary confinement for his own protection. You can sign a petition HERE demanding his release by the Orange Fuhrer.

As for Cody, we’ll be waiting for more information to expose what looks like a shady plot by the US government to set up and kidnap him.

There’s a price to pay for being an enemy of the state, and technically, we all are.

My mammography results were shocking for breast cancer

Moving halfway across the country with two small children can be stressful, but when we moved for my husband’s new job in 2005, I took it in stride. My husband Todd and I settled into a friendly family-oriented neighborhood in a northern Philadelphia suburb.

I quickly made many friends by getting involved in a book club, mother’s group, and my children’s preschool. Todd and I wanted a third child, and based on my fertility history, I began taking progesterone (a hormone connected to pregnancy). Not soon after, I found a lump in my breast.

My doctor brushed it off because I was only 36, because I had no knowledge of family history of breast cancer, and because cancer usually doesn’t present with pain. I took my doctor’s advice and waited.

Coincidentally, Todd, who worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb, attended a breast cancer educational seminar at work. He learned that progesterone actually can feed a tumor and that if my lump was in fact cancer, the drug was helping the cancer to grow.

My mammography results were shocking. I had multiple tumors in my breast and in my lymph nodes. As someone new to the area, I wasn’t sure where to go for treatment.

My husband asked for a referral from the president of oncology at Bristol-Myers Squibb. He suggested I see Lori Goldstein, MD, FASCO, at Fox Chase Cancer Center. As soon as I met Dr. Goldstein and the other members of her team, I knew I was in good hands at Fox Chase. I didn’t have to look anywhere else.

In November 2005, I underwent a single mastectomy and reconstructive surgery at Fox Chase. After a quick recovery, I began an aggressive course of chemotherapy, which was successful. Because the cancer spread to my lymph nodes, I then underwent radiation therapy.

I’m so thankful we ended up in Pennsylvania. Our kind neighbors and friends showed their support by preparing meals, decorating our house for the holidays, and helping to care for my children. Fox Chase is the other reason I’m happy we came to Pennsylvania. I feel blessed to have such fantastic doctors and nurses treating me. Everyone at Fox Chase is friendly and helpful.

When my mother came to an appointment with me, she was amazed to see Dr. Goldstein reach out to hold my hand and give me a hug. She’d never seen that warmth and compassion from a doctor. I successfully finished treatment by the fall of 2007.

After attending several breast cancer support groups, I realized my issues were very different than those of the other women. It was a factor of my age. While they were concerned about seeing their grandchildren grow up, I was worried that I would miss my daughter’s first day of kindergarten. I wanted to create a place where young women with breast cancer could meet, trade ideas, and discuss pertinent issues in their lives. My friend Stacy and I did that.

We started a local chapter of Young Survival Coalition, an international nonprofit network of breast cancer survivors and supporters dedicated to the concerns and issues that are unique to young women and breast cancer. Our group has more than 80 members and meets monthly at various locations in the Philadelphia area. We’ve also started to reach out to college-age women at health fairs.

This is a whole new and exciting part of my life. Last year, I completed the breast cancer three-day walk. I also participated as a “researcher for a day” at Fox Chase Cancer Center. After that, I represented the Linda Creed Foundation in Washington to lobby for funding for breast cancer research. In the fall of 2009, I started a part-time job working for the Linda Creed Foundation.

After going through treatment, I was surprised to learn I did in fact have a family history of breast cancer. I lost two great aunts to breast cancer, but because that generation didn’t talk about cancer, I never knew how they died. Another great aunt and cousin were diagnosed after I was.

I recently underwent genetic testing through the Breast and Ovarian Cancer Risk Assessment Program at Fox Chase. Fortunately, I don’t carry the BRCA gene, which would have increased the risk for cancer for me and my daughters.

I’m grateful to Todd and my team of doctors at Fox Chase. The thought of missing out on being a mom was more devastating than dealing with cancer. I still cry every time I help out in my daughter’s kindergarten class. Before breast cancer, I wasn’t looking forward to turning 40. Now that I’m almost there, I can’t wait. I feel so fortunate to be alive and well.
