I've often wondered what exactly Five's appeal is. Why are we like this? I think it boils down to a few main reasons

There's the old classic: he's a flawed and/or violent man with a tragic backstory. That's an archetypal romantic hero. Whether consciously or not, we like to fantasise that the transformative power of our love could 'fix' him. (I see this as a flaw in the way our culture structures romance but yet I'm still a sucker for it).

Daddy issues. Just daddy issues.

Linked to the above, Five is confident and competent. Once you can be sure he's not going to murder you, he would protect the absolute shit out of you.

He's an old man in the body of a young man. It's the dream. He knows what to do and he can do it for as long as you need him to. 😏

Aidan Gallagher, while he doesn't float my boat out of character, is just angelically beautiful. He's a handsome man and he very kindly lends Five his face. Thanks man. Good job on that face.
