I look in the mirror each morning and see nothing special about me. I am overweight, balding, not really much to look at really. But somehow I find myself in the right places to comfort people. It is not me working, but rather God in me finding those in help. Of course having a soft heart helps. I do not have a heart a heart of cold. That phrase totally baffles me. I do not people saying that about me. Why? Think about it. Gold is cold, metallic thing that people would do anything to get some. The more someone has gold, the more it corrupts them. Also consider this. A lazy person who slacks off of their job is called a goldbrick! No. My heart is warm, loving.

There is a lot on my mind. I did talk to Beverly and expressed my concern about her. I know what is wrong with her, but I can't do anything about it now. I also made sure to let her know that I am a good listener and won"t share a confidence with anyone! God will let me know when I need to become more involved. The waiting game. . .Oh how I hate it!

Thinking, letting my thoughts wonder where they will. I have been thinking a lot about Steven and Annette lately. It is not like I saw a lot of them in my childhood. They lived out in the country, and I lived in the heart of the city. I do remember visiting them once. I think I was around ten, but I wouldn't swear to it. I only remember it because of something that happened. They were raising a cow. I swear to God, that animal developed a crush on me! It would not leave me alone for a second. Now, it would be nice to hear from them. Even the Horsemen, those friends of mine that kept me going while waiting for a liver transplant, have drifted down that river. We are still in contact on Facebook, but with my health issues and Gary's health issues, I rather wish we unite a couple more times. We are spread over two states now and some have children so it might be near to impossible. I just hope we can before one of us dies and the survivors mourn.

Perhaps I know something about my own health? Whatever. I recognized I lived over half of my life. I am fifty-eight. How many people lived to be a hundred and sixteen? No, I believe I still have a lot of time left. I hear that clock ticking. I must admit that is why I resurrected my page, The River. I believe I might share song lyrics, music. I also decided to make my page honoring my aunt Eileen public. But I plan on changing its name because I planned on memorializing family and friends there. I think I might call it The Madman's Cemetery, Phoenix Roost. I am also planning on redoing The River and renaming it. I used to post newspaper comics everyday for about a year, and I rather liked doing it. I might start posting them again to The River. Five pages besides my wall. I must be crazy! But this old world of ours needs all the laughter it can get! I think I just came up with River's new name. How about The Madman's Mirror, The Daily Funnies?
