Spoilers for Sally Face episode 4 and suicide content warning
Last night I had A Thought about post massacre but pre seeing Larry's ghost Ash.
Do you think Ash was ever resentful of Larry? Like, she didn't want to be but some part of her, deep down, blamed him? From her perspective, as a skeptic, she didn't believe in the ghosts or any of the supernatural aspects so the idea of Sal committing the murders because he had to due to the demon would be, in her mind, a delusion Sal convinced himself of to explain what he'd done? To cope with what he'd done? Do you think Ash heard that Larry had committed suicide before Sal began the massacre and, reasonably so, decided that his death had broken Sal? Maybe she felt like he was being cowardly or selfish. Maybe she felt like he should have thought of how anyone else would feel, but especially Sal. Surely he, his best friend and brother, knew how unstable Sal was. And if Ash knew Sal had stopped taking his medication, Larry almost definitely did too. Without the belief in the supernatural that we, as the player, have, it makes sense for her to blame him, even if she doesn't want to. She probably feels guilty for blaming Larry if she does, but its hard to shake the idea of "why didn't you think of anyone else? Why did you leave us to pick up the pieces?"
