Every once in a while I dig out my favorite recipe books and pick a complicated dessert to make

This time I’m thinking brown sugar walnut bourbon cookies, monster cookies (oatmeal and peanut butter and m&ms), chocolate cinnamon chipotle sugar cookies, cinnamon-cayenne palmiers, chocolate crinkles, or margarita cookies (I leave out the tequila so they’re citrus cookies)

#I can’t decide what to make!! #I mean I don’t have the ingredients for anything except maybe the chocolate crinkles right now #but there is a grocery run in the near future anyway #I totally cheat on the palmiers and use frozen puff pastry #rolling out a dough like that where you have to fold the butter in #when it’s super hot outside #just sounds miserable lol also my attention span is not great #I call the margarita cookies citrus sables when I give them to people #because I never use tequila so they are like orange-lime cookies? #that recipe is online not from these books #hmmmm decisions decisions oh wait almost forgot #food mention #recipe books #I’ll leave the bourbon out of the sugar coating on those walnut cookies this time #because like every antihistamine I’m on is like DONT HAVE ALCOHOL #But I miiight include it in the dough. it bakes off a bit and it’s like two tbsp in the dough that makes like 40 cookies
