just to be clear, the thing she was vaguing about was an unexplained allegedly misogynistic joke george made to somebody at some point. the among us thing was why she believed it was a pattern of behavior. still so unserious
I've gathered that, but honestly at this point the only actual matter of fact that she's put forward is that at one point ages ago, George ignored her in an among us lobby.
I'm done engaging with the whole "secret person totally told me something but I won't tell you" nonsense. If you make a public claim like "George has serious issues with misogyny" and the only actual factual piece of evidence that you're willing to provide is "one time he ignored me in an among us lobby" then that's all the evidence you get. You don't get secret evidence nobody else gets to see or respond to. I'm not playing by alex jones rules here. If you want to make a claim, you have to present your evidence.
The only actual fact Sophie offered to support her claim was George ignored her once in an among us lobby. That's all the evidence she offered so that's all the evidence I'm going to consider or engage with. She made that vague post, and then she was only willing to offer this. So this is all that vague post is based off of until she proves otherwise.

Based on a discussion group I belong to on FB:
Apparently the best way to piss off people who don't think the VIOLENT antisemitism of the Hogwarts Legacy game, OR JKR's transphobia, OR the janky game play, OR the fact that you get to uncritically own a slave and it's okay because they LIKE being slaves, OR the original lead dev being an alt-right misogynist/gamergater is a dealbreaker is to spoil the game ending for them.
The SECOND best way to piss them off is to compare them to Trump supporters who didn't think his racism or misogyny or transphobia or antisemitism was a dealbreaker. Apparently that makes them ANGRY.
I'm seriously about to make a post addressed to them asking if there's ANYTHING that would make them stop supporting the game, and challenging them to just admit that their desire to play the game outweighs ANY harm it'll do. Just... say so.
The group's creator is already mad at me because I refused to accept his argument that "we should support the devs", but one of the other admins is trans and pissed at said group creator (and is honestly the reason I'm still "debating" this issue because they shouldn't have to argue that "the game that funds a transphobe" is a bad thing by themselves).
I am however collecting SO much evidence that the group's rules about "civility" are bullshit. Apparently blatant transphobia is okay but posting spoilers is uncivil.
