Hello tumblr. It is 11pm but my brain is full of a nature wives sports au using one of the only sports I can actually play. So may I present to you: Nature wives netball fic idea.

(Contains basic overview of netball for those who don’t know) Ok, so in this au yes, magic and hybrids and wtv exist. It's mostly based on esmp s2, but we have some of the hermit gals and esmp s1 pearl on bc yes. I'm also pretending that a) netball is popular enough for there to be a proper concessions stand in the Court? Arena? Wtf is this shit called? And B.) I still remember the rules from all the way back when I last played netball (half a year ago). For the uninitiated into the fucking cult that is the British school system (haha, British International school go brrrr) and/or someone who knows what this obscure sport is for other reasons, Netball is played on a court consisting of three thirds. The attacking, defending, and Centre thirds. The attacking and defending thirds have a D shaped area on them and at the back of those D’s you have the net. Each team has 7 players with specific roles which have limited areas of movement. Goal attack (GA) can be in the centre third, the attacking third and the attacking D. Goal shooter (GS) can only go in the attacking third and the attacking D. Wing attack (WA) can go in both the attacking and Centre thirds but not in the attacking D. Centre (C) can go in all of the thirds but none of the D’s. Goal defence (GD) can be in the centre third, the defending third and the defending D. Goal keeper (GK) can only go in the defending third and D. Wing defence (WD) can go in both the defending and Centre thirds but not in the defending D. Yada yada yada blah blah blah. The only other rules that you need to know right now are that you can’t move with the ball, can’t bounce the ball and have to pass within 3 seconds of getting the ball but can take as long as you want to shoot. Confused? Good because I’m done explaining the rules now (yay!) Anyways, the fic would switch POVs between Shelby (who works at the concession stand) and Katherine (who plays GA for the netball team). It’s mutual pining from afar and idiots in love. Shelby works the stand together with sausage, who is the certified no.1 Pearl Stan. The team line-up is False (GS), Katherine (GA), Lizzie (WA), Pearl (C), Gem (WD because I play WD and I love Gem), Stress (GD) and Cleo (GK). Multiple other Hermits/emperors/life series members would make appearances depending on what I feel like writing, and I might not even start writing until I have the motivation to. I just wanted my ideas to be on paper haha.
