Love Online Chapter 8 Part 1
Warnings: none. Just sweet and cute moments between Chris and Merida. Lots of pics
The next morning Merida awoke and got her shower and then quickly put in her contacts and applied a little make up. She was looking for her outfit when Tiffany came up to her.
"I know just what you should wear."
"What's that?"
"This."
"That is so cute! Where did you get that?"
"I found it a while back. I think it would look so cute on you!"
Merida changed into the outfit then walked into the room.
"So, what do you think?"
"Oh my gosh! That is so cute on you! Your hot!"
Merida laughs. Just then her phone goes off.
Captaindork-On my way, be there soon

"Oh my gosh! He's on his way! Girl I am so nervous!"
"Take a deep breath. It will be okay. Go finish getting ready."
Merida heads back into the bathroom to finish her hair and brush her teeth. A few minutes later there is a knock on the door. Tiffany opens it and there stands Chris in a short sleeve blue shirt and a Boston cap.
Tiffany covers her mouth.
"Hey Tiffany, I'm here for Merida."
"Chris! Yes! Come in."
Chris smiles and walks into the room. "Mer! Chris is here!" Tiffany hollers.
"Be right there!"
A few minutes later Merida walks into the room and sees Chris. He smiles at her.
"Good morning beautiful."
"Hi."
Merida looks at Tiffany.
"You guys have fun. I'll see you later Mer." Tiffany says smiling.
Merida smiles and follows Chris out. They get into the elevator and ride it down to the lobby. The whole way neither of them say a word. Merida follows Chris out to his car. Which is a white Lexus Es350. He holds the door for her, and she climbs in then he walks around and gets into the driver's side.
"So where are we going?"
"You'll see," Chris smiles.
Merida smiles. Chris pulls away from the hotel and into the main road. For several minutes it remains quiet.
"Can we listen to some music?"
"Sure." Chris reaches for the button on the cd player just as Aurora does their hands touch.
"Sorry," Merida says pulling her hand back.
"It's okay," Chris says smiling again.
Chris hits play and the song Part of your world from The Little Mermaid comes on. Merida smiles. Chris starts singing it. Merida laughs. She thinks its cute how is trying to sing along hitting all the wrong notes, but she loves how he knows every word to the song.
"Are you laughing at me?" He asks glancing over at her for a second then looking back to the road.
"No of course not." Merida grins.
"You could sing with me. I know, you know the words."
"And what makes you think that?"
"Cause you love Disney just as much as I do," Chris smiles.
Merida stays quiet as Chris attempts to continue to sing to the song very badly, then the next song plays, Kiss the Girl.
"Come on, I know you know this one."
Merida smiles. "Maybe."
"Le consent, strings, winds, words. There you see her, sitting there across the way, she don't got a lot say, but there's something about her and you don't know why, but you're dyin to try, you wanna kiss the girl. Yes you want her. Look at her you know you do. Possible she want you too, there is one way to ask her. It don't take a word, not a single word go on and kiss the girl. Sing with me now," Chris sings looking at Aurora and at the last part moving his head a little closer to her.
Aurora smiles. "Sha-la-la-la-la my oh my look like the boy is too shy. He ain't gonna kiss the girl. Sha-la-la-la-la. Ain't that sad. Ain't it a shame, too bad, he gonna miss the girl." Merida sang.
Then Chris quotes the line, "You know I feel really bad not knowing your name. Maybe I can guess. Is it Mildred?"
Merida gives him this weird look.
Chris laughs. "Okay no. how about Diana?"
Merida shakes her head.
"Rachel?"
Merida shakes her head again no. Merida then whispers "Ariel, her name is Ariel."
"Ariel?"
Merida nods her head.
"Ariel, well that's kind of pretty. Okay Ariel."
Chris takes her hand. And continues singing the song. Merida even sings with him. For next hour and half, they continue to sing along to Disney songs. Then Merida looks up and sees the sign for Disneyland.
"Oh my gosh! Chris, are we going to Disneyland?" She asks excitedly.
Chris smiles. "Yep."
"Oh my gosh! You're the best!"
Chris smiles and pulls through the gate and finds a parking space. He gets out and helps Merida out.
"You can lock your purse in my trunk if you want. That way you won't have to keep up with it."
"But what about my wallet?"
"It will be safe."
"But what if I need it?"
Chris smiles, "You won't need it. Anything you want or need I can get it for you."
"Chris you really don't have to do that. You have already done so much."
"Merida, I don't mind really."
Chris walks to the trunk of his car and opens it. Merida places her purse inside and Chris closes it.
"Well, are you ready?"
"Yes!"
Chris smiles and holds out his hand. Merida takes his hand, and they walk into Disneyland Park.
"So where would you like to go first?" Chris asks.
"Anywhere. Doesn't matter. Why don't we start at the beginning and go from there?"
"Sounds like a good plan to me."
Chris and Merida started at the front and rode every ride and got their pictures with all the Disney characters from, Winnie the pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Gaston, Belle, Belle and the beast, Mickey and Minnie and Robin Hood and Fieri Tuck. They also had their pictures made at various spots around the park.
Authors note-just ignore the different outfits couldn't find them in similar ones to the pics shown in the beginning of what they wore and some of the pics worked better ☺️
Chris thought Merida was cute the way she got so excited about the rides and the Disney characters. They stopped at Daisy's Diner to eat then went back to riding the rides.
When they got to the teacup ride Merida thought Chris was cute the way he was spinning the wheel and making them go really fast in circles. When the ride ended, Chris got out and when Merida stood up and stepped out of the teacup she was dizzy and fell into Chris's arms. He looks down at her and then dips her and kisses her.
When they stand back up Merida smiles.
"I wasn't expecting that."
"I know. I couldn't resist. Sorry."
"It's okay."
"Well, are you ready to ride some more rides?"
"Yes! Let's go."
Merida grabbed Chris's hand and drug him to the next ride. While standing in line two little boys tugged on Chris's pants. They each were carrying a stuffed animal.
"Aren't you Captain America?" One of them asked.
Chris smiled. "I am."
"Can we get a picture with you?"
"Yes please!" the other said who had been quiet earlier said.
"Sure."
"Mom! Take a picture of us with Captain America!"
Right before their mom took the picture one of the little boys, the one holding a brown and black stuffed dog said to Chris, "You're my hero! It was because of you that I lived and didn't die from being sick."
Chris smiled big and picked him up. He put his arm the other little boy and their mom took the picture.
Authors note-this pic is actually his nephews but it's the only pic I could find that worked for this scene so....
"Thanks so much. You just made their day. The one you held, Oliver, he was sick a month ago with cancer, but he said he was going to fight it. He said he wouldn't give up because that's what Captain America would tell him. And he did. A few weeks later his cancer was gone."
Chris smiled. "That's amazing. Glad he made it through."
"Yes, thanks again."
The mother and her boys moved up in the line.
"That was sweet Chris."
"Well, I love my fans, especially kids."
"Yes, I know you love kids," Merida smiled.
After riding every ride in the park Merida asked, "Can we go to some of the shops?"
"Sure. Where do you want to go?"
"This one!" Merida said dragging him into one of the stores.
Merida looked around picking up things, and then putting them back down. She drug Chris around the store.
"Do you see anything you want?" Chris asked.
"Chris, I'm not asking you to buy me anything. You have already..."
"You didn't ask me. I'm asking you."
"Well, not really."
"Mer, I have seen you pick up and put back a lot of things. I know there is something you want. What is it?"
"Nothing." Merida started to walk away, but Chris pulled her back.
"This?" Chris asked holding up a Disney Pandora charm bracelet.
Merida smiled. "Chris..."
"I know you do. Come on I'll get it."
Chris and Merida walk up to the counter and Chris pays for the bracelet. They walk out of the store.
"Thanks Chris. You really didn't have to do that."
Chris smiled. "Would you like me to put it on you?"
"Sure."
Merida holds out her left arm and Chris puts the bracelet on her.
"Thanks."
"Welcome. Come on let's go get a good spot. It's It almost time for the electrical parade." Chris takes her hand and they stopped in front of the castle.
"Have you had fun?" Chris asked as they sat on the castle wall.
"Yes, I've had a blast! Thanks Chris."
"You're welcome."
A lady came up to them and said, "Can I take your picture?"
"Sure."
The lady took their picture then handed the card to Chris. "You can go online and get these pictures and you can even have them create a collage for you."
"Thanks."
They watched the electrical parade. Merida took a few pictures with her phone. When the parade ended Chris looked at Merida
"Are you ready to go?"
"I guess."
Chris took her hand, and they slowly made their way out of the park following the crowd. When they reached Chris's car, he got Merida's purse from the trunk of the car and then after she was in he closed her door and went around to the driver's side.
"Thanks Chris. Today was fun. I will never forget it."
"You're welcome. I thought you would like it. I knew how much you liked Disney I remembered you telling me you had never been to Disneyland."
"Nope. I've only been to Disneyworld."
"Right, I remember. You've been there like 3 times, right?"
"5, well 4. My dad says I can't count one because I was only in my mother's belly."
Chris laughs. "Right, you can't technically count that."
Chris pulls out of the parking lot and heads back towards her hotel. He grabs her hand and holds it the rest of the way back. They listen to music again on the way back, but don't sing as much. At one point Merida falls asleep. Chris looks over at her and smiles.
Chris pulls up in front of the hotel.
"Merida," he says rubbing her arm.
Merida wakes up and looks at Chris.
"What?"
"We are back at the hotel."
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to fall asleep."
"It's okay. You were tired. It was a long day. Would you like me to walk to you to your hotel room?"
"No, you don't have to do that."
"Well at least let me walk you into the lobby."
Chris gets out and walks around and opens her door for her.
"Thanks."
Chris takes her hand, and they walk into the lobby of the hotel.
"Thanks again Chris."
"You're welcome. I had fun. I will look at those pics and send you copies."
"Sure. Thanks. Oh, I almost forgot." Merida reaches into her purse and takes out her wallet and then takes out $900. "Here is your money back."
"Keep it."
"What! Chris this is $900."
"It's okay. Keep it. It's yours."
"Chris...I can't..." Chris takes her hand.
"Mer, please keep it. Use it to help build that fence you talked about for Dixie," he smiled.
"Alright, fine thanks."
"You're welcome oh, can I ask a question?"
"Sure."
"Would it be possible for me to get your number, so we don't have to keep using Instagram? I need to rid of the captaindork account I'm starting to get a lot of crazy messages on there and..."
"Oh yes sure. I understand. No problem. I know your not a scammer now, and that I can trust you," Merida smiles.
Chris laughs and hands her his phone. "Just put your number in and I will text you, so you have mine."
"Alright," Merida opens the contacts and adds her name and number. "There you go."
"Cool." He quickly sends her message. "I just sent you a message."
Merida pulls out her phone and smiles.
Chris-this is Chris! Had fun today beautiful!☺️
Merida saves his name and number.
"Well thanks again."
"You're welcome, are sure you don't want me to walk with you to your room?"
"Yes, I'm sure. Thanks."
"Welcome. I will talk to you soon. What time is your flight tomorrow? It's at 8, right?"
"Yes 8 am."
"Alright, Message me when you get to the airport alright?"
"Sure, will do."
"Goodnight beautiful. Sweet dreams." Chris leans forward and gives Merida a quick kiss on the lips.
Merida heads towards the elevator and she watches Chris and smiles until the doors close, and he's gone.
"Wow!"
Merida gets back to her room and Tiffany is sitting on the couch.
"So, how was it?" Tiffany asks as Merida put her stuff down and joined her on the couch.
"Oh my gosh, girl he took me to Disneyland!"
"What! Seriously?"
"Yes! It was so much fun. We took lots of pictures. He said he would send them to me. And...."
"What! What else happened?"
"He kissed me!"
"OMG! Really?"
"Yes. We had just gotten out of the teacup ride, and I was a little dizzy. I fell into his arms and then he dipped me and kissed me."
"Awww, that's so sweet."
"And we exchanged numbers. So, he has mine and I have his. We won't be using Instagram anymore. He said he needed to get rid of it because he was starting to get a lot of crazy messages."
"Wow girl! Will you see him again?"
"I don' t know. He did tell me to message him when we got to the airport tomorrow."
"Wow, well maybe you will."
"I hope so."
Just then Merida's phone goes off. She looks down and smiles.
"Let me guess, Chris?"
"Yes."
Chris-here are a few of the pictures. Still getting the rest. ☺️
The girls look at the pictures together. Just as they get to the last one, more come through.
"Those are so cute! Mer, you guys are so cute together!"
Merida smiles. "I guess we should get some sleep. It is after midnight, and we do have to get up early for our flight back home."
"Right."
The girls get ready for bed then climb under the covers. Merida falls asleep smiling thinking about Chris and the wonderful day they had together.

Three die in Osun multiple car crash
A multiple accident around Prism Steel Mill, Osogbo-Ikotim road has claimed three lives.
The accident, according to a statement by the Osun Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, occured on Tuesday evening.
According to the First Information Report, FIR, made available by Agnes Ogungbemi, the spokesperson of the Osun FRSC in Wednesday, one other person, an adult male sustained varying degrees of injuries during the head on collision.
The accident the report also revealed was caused by road traffic and speeding violations.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash, “a private car, black coloured Lexus model ES350 with registration number: SMK17JK belonging to one Mr Abdullah and a green coloured commercial DAF truck model 85.340 with registration number: ZUR36XB.
“The injured victim was taken to Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo before the arrival of the team while the dead victims were conveyed to the same hospital by the team.
“The two vehicles involved were towed by personnel of the Nigeria Police, Ikirun Division.”
Meanwhile, the Sector Commander, Henry Benamaisia cautioned motorists to desist from excessive speed and route violation.

(CNN) — Toyota is recalling about 1 million cars and SUVs in the United States due to a possible defect that could cause the passenger airbag to fail to deploy in a crash.The recall involves 15 different 2020 and 2021 model year Toyota and Lexus models including the Toyota Camry, Rav4, Sienna and the Lexus RX350 and ES350. Lexus is Toyota’s luxury vehicle brand.Specifically, the Occupant Classification System sensor that detects when someone is sitting in the front passenger seat could short circuit. In some of these vehicles the sensor was improperly manufactured.The OCS sensor can roughly tell how heavy a person is, giving an indication of wether a front seat passenger is an adult or child. If a child is detected in the front passenger seat, the airbag might not deploy in a crash because the force of the airbag could injure someone so small.A short circuit in the OCS sensor could cause the airbag to fail to deploy in incidents when it should, according to Toyota’s announcement. A Toyota spokesperson declined to say whether the automaker is aware of any injuries arising from this issue.Owners of vehicles involved in the recall will be notified by Toyota by the middle of February, 2024, according to Toyota. Some three or four years ago, I joined my friends for our annual 4th of July weekend in Ginnie Springs, Florida. At the time, I was living in Naples, Florida, which is about 4 hours south of Ginnie Springs. I was given a car for attending college at the time. My car was a 2002 Lexus ES350 with forty thousand miles on it. Everyone told me to take care of the car as best I could. This entailed getting the car maintenanced and using the more expensive premium gasoline. Usually, being my negligent self, I let my cars die on the roadside, being too lazy to fill up the gas tank. Letting my car run out of gas has happened countless times. But, being gifted a really nice automobile for studying, I promised myself that I would take extra special care of the car.
I started my journey to Ginnie Springs. Once, I was three hours deep on my excursion, about an hour south of the campsite, I glanced at my tank. The gas tank was less than a quarter full. For the first time in my life, I decided to do something responsible and on time. I pulled over to the first gas station I saw. When I arrived at the pump, I noticed only two gas options: Regular or diesel. I thought, "Well, I'm not supposed to use regular gas. So, since there's no premium, diesel it is." I filled my entire tank with diesel gas. After paying a lot more money than premium gas would be, standing there trying to fit the pump in the gas hole, and feeling more proud of myself than ever, I got in my car and finished my drive to the Springs. Less than a mile down the highway, in the middle of nowhere, my car operated slower and slower until it came to a complete stop. That is when I realized that diesel isn't meant for a non-diesel vehicle. I called a tow truck, stranded in the middle of South Florida with a car that won't start, and had my car towed to a dealership an hour from where I broke down. I was told my car engine would have to be drained, and it would not be ready until after the weekend. So, I had to Uber an hour from the dealership to the campsite. I learned a costly lesson the hard way. Do not put diesel in your gas tank.
