again, it’ll be fun to see how much of this shit i actually remember. i mean on the rare occasions i look back at these posts from ten years ago (or however long i’ve been doing these but it’s been close to that) i literally don’t remember half of the movies i’ve seen, so...you know i don’t even remember why i started doing this.
till death - can i confess something? i hated gerald’s game. this, though, this i liked. it’s silly but the right kind of silly for megan fox to shine in.
respect - i mean biopics generally aren’t my thing but holy shit this was well-acted and well-sung, i’ll give it that.
escape room: tournament of champions - one of the main characters was a Black trans woman, and NOTHING about her character was “about” being a Black trans woman. Do you know how fucking unusual that is??? The movie completely sucked but I don’t even care, 10/10 just for that.
slaxx - did NOT expect the social commentary or for it to be actually kind of well-done? this isn’t just “it’s a silly premise anyway so no one cares if it’s shit.” everything about it was deliberate. i have to admit, i admire that.
friday the 13th parts 2 and 5 - watch parties with friends. i remember nothing but making dumb comments and laughing at everyone else. good times.
mrs. doubtfire - you know somehow i’d never seen this? it hasn’t aged amazingly well, but i really don’t think it’s that terrible, either. i mean it’s also not particularly funny, but i suppose that’s all subjective.
stage fright - a rewatch for a watch party, honestly i get such a kick out of this one. “what do you know? you’re just an alto” is probably my favorite burn of all time.
