(gonna just list a bunch of the crimes they've committed)

Mia: literally every crime ever (/j) theft, blackmailing, GTA (like stealing cars n shirt which goes w theft but yk), torture (technically goes along w murder but), underage drinking, assault, identity fraud (fake id??), Breaking and entering, destruction of property/vandalism, doing drugs 😍, arson

Riley: Stalking, blackmailing, kidnapping, assault, being ginger, underage drinking (forced. Mostly.), torture, ARSON SO MUCH FUCKING ARSON BANANAJSR

Kai: cannibalism. Which yeah, typically results in murder. But. Like. He will eat someone alive. Torture, and destruction of property. He's really not that bad considering the other two.

Violet: drugging, torture, kidnapping and assault. She's also, not that bad considering Mia and Riley 💀

Lucille: stalking, kidnapping, torture, assault, underage drinking, destruction of property, vandalism.

4. What appears in your OC's darkest nightmares?

Riley: her mother and Jordan abusing her again, s/o leaving her (they ain't going nowhere but she's paranoid.), And Jack and her dad dying.

Mia: being sa'd again, by anyone, but especially her s/o. It's not a lack of trust, she's also extremely paranoid and she acts so aggressive n shit BECAUSE she's scared.

Kai: being abandoned/treated like an animal again (mostly being muzzled)

Violet: somehow making Evelyn worse rather than better. And also. Feeling pain. It's a foreign thing to her (disorder that makes her numb 2 pain or whatrver.)

Micah: Zack dying, he DOES NOT have anyone else.

8. Would your OC consider themself evil?

Making this short n sweet. Yes. All of them do, but they don't care, some of them don't know any better, and the others jusr don't give a shit.

13. Who does your OC hate the most?

Mia: Her family, all of them. Yes, they're all dead, but she still hates them. They're the cause of all her problems lmao. And Lindsey <3 fuck her

Riley: Her mother and Jordan (+the bitches he cheated w) they're also, both dead, but she HATES them. Moreso her mother bc with her she couldn't get away.

Kai: most of his family (younger siblings excluded) they treated him like an animal. It literally started out as then thinking he ("she" at the time. Transgender!!) Was a freak bc of his teeth, which. Not his fault. He developed a biting problem (FEED THAT BOY AND IT WOULDNT HAPPEN)

Violet: MEN /J uhmm. Her father, he abused her, she couldn't feel it, and he exploited that. She didn't physically feel it but there was still a mental toll on her.

Lucille: her "friends", they pulled "pranks" (like. Pretending they were being kidnapped n shit like that) on her and literally drove her to stab herself in the eye with a pen.

Micah: would say his family but he doesn't remember them, so, the people that kidnapped him as a child.

A brief rundown of each of my OCS so that y'all have context for my occasional OC posts

Francesca "Frankie" Falkenrath

The drama coach at Everett High (and freelance piano teacher) who survived an attempt on her life by her ex-boyfriend Jason, but only because a wandering spirit entered her body as her own soul tried to leave, putting her in an odd half-dead state where her soul is "off-center" and other ghosts can enter her body as they so please. Her own soul is now locked in a battle for control of it's own body with several other ghosts. Despite her unfortunate situation, she remains hard-working and optimistic.

Damien Hall

A cheerful local veterinarian, and Frankie's boyfriend of nearly seven years. Humble, sweet, and funny, if a bit of a doormat thanks to his constant willingness to put the needs of others before his own.

Det. Shiloh Hawthorne

A detective of the dead (or "dead-tective", if you will) and former Reaper assigned to investigate Frankie after her status in the Afterlife is listed as "Uncertain", as opposed to "Dead" or "Alive". Despite his frightening appearance and initially stoic demeanor, he's really a total softie once you get to know him. A lover of animals, music, and human culture in general who DESPERATELY craves a genuine friendship.

Det. Chester "Chess" Murdoch

A local private detective who solves minor cases with his twin sister Abigail as a part of the "Murdoch & Murdoch" detective duo, who gets roped into assisting Shiloh with Frankie's case. Fast-talking and eccentric, with a rather flowery vocabulary to boot. Despite his quirks, he's still a VERY competent detective, and would gladly take a bullet for his sister.

Det. Abigail "Abby" Murdoch

The older and more straight-laced of Dagwood Hill's "Murdoch & Murdoch" detective duo. Despite her more serious personality, she's not above her brother's certain brand of quirkiness, and has her own moments of eccentricity. Just as strong a detective as Chess, and is fiercely protective of her "baby brother".

Jason Fitzpatrick

The P.E. teacher at Everett High, who briefly dated Frankie after ending his marriage with his high school sweetheart Christina. A crass and abrasive man who only ever softens around his preteen son (from his marriage with Christina) Skylar, or his dog Rusty. Attempted to murder Frankie when she wouldn't get back with him several years later, but ended up with a gnarly facial scar and a 30-to-life prison sentence.

Skylar Fitzpatrick

The 11 year old son of Jason and Christina. Emotional, empathetic, artistic, and supernaturally inclined. In that, he can see and communicate with ghosts, even when they're NOT possessing someone, or (in Frankie's unusual case) currently in control of their host body. A sweet, yet very lonely boy who struggles to comes to terms with the fact that his family is broken.

Victoria Waterford

A successful local hairdresser (well, I say "local", but she's from Pittsburgh), and Frankie's best friend and former roommate. A smart and charismatic woman, with a strong passion for her work. She has a girlfriend, but I'm still trying to figure out her name and her role in the story, so please bear with me.

Christina Baxter

A kind yet tough local librarian, Jason's ex-wife, and Skylar's mother. Her son's high empathy was pretty much inherited from her, shown best by the fact that she went out of her way to befriend Frankie after the (at the time) naive young drama coach assistant ended her toxic relationship with Jason. Despite how rough her life has been, she remains strong for her friends and family, and will NOT let anyone pity her.

Xavier Lewis-Hall

Damien's ambitious, outgoing, and musically-talented preteen cousin. He used to get piano lessons from Frankie, which is how Frankie ended up meeting Damien in the first place. So you have him to thank for that. Dreams of becoming a famous musical theatre composer, and will not hesitate to tell you about his MANY ideas if you ask him. An amicable kid who manages to become Skylar's first non-ghost friend in YEARS, and forms a surprising bond with Shiloh over their shared love of music.

Robin Barrows

A teenage non-binary (she/her and they/them) piano student of Frankie's with a bit of a reputation around Dagwood Hill for being a troublemaker who likes to stir shit with local law enforcement. A good kid once you get to know them, but struggles in school thanks to her undiagnosed dyslexia, and has some anger issues. Frankie's just about the only teacher at Everett High who doesn't see her as a lazy problem child, and thus, she's the only teacher that Robin actually LIKES.

Hunter V. Luzzatto

The cynical and sarcastic ghost of a street guitarist who froze to death on the streets of Dagwood Hill during a particularly harsh Winter, and one of the ghosts attempting to take control of Frankie's body. He says his reasoning for doing so is so he can "experience the three biggest pleasures of life again". Meaning, eating food, having sex, and playing his guitar. You'll know he's in control when the room turns inexplicably cold. Despite his cynical outlook, dark sense of humor, and his beef with Shiloh, he has a soft spot for Skylar.

Mary Ann Fleisher

The ghost of a little girl from the 1930's who unfortunately passed after getting lost in the woods outside Dagwood Hill. After wandering the woods as a lost spirit for decades, she entered Frankie's body by complete accident, and wants nothing more than to get out and see her parents in the Afterlife. Timid and prone to tears, she's not in control of Frankie's body often, but it's always obvious when she is. If Frankie's shying away from everyone and speaking in a VERY small and scared voice, Mary Ann is in control.

Lucille Dagwood

The ghost of the long-deceased founder of Dagwood Hill, and one of the ghosts attempting to take control of Frankie's body. She believes that her beloved town has gone to shit, and wants to regain control of it. She's very stern and cold, able to shut anyone up with nothing more than a good old-fashioned death glare. It's never readily apparent when she's in control of Frankie's body, but once she speaks, you'll know.

My brain is void of any questions as of right now, so this is kinda basic (sorry!) but what is one interesting fact about each of your OCs?

Oooohoho, yeah. These guys have some History, so this'll be fun. Putting this one under a cut.

Francesca "Frankie" Falkenrath

The reasoning behind her name is because I created her as the unisex protagonist of a musical idea I had when I was 15/16. I was looking at a list of gender neutral names, saw and liked the name Frankie, looked through surnames starting with "f" bc I wanted the name to be alliterative, found the surname "Falkenrath" in a list of German last names, and picked it bc it essentially means "council of falcons" which is badass as hell. By the time I made her into a non-unisex character, I'd gotten so attached to the name that I ended up keeping it.

Damien Hall

(Fair warning, a lot of this trivia is gonna be name-based) I originally came up the name "Damien Hall" for the male lead of a musical I came up with after seeing Phantom of the Opera in Cleveland when I was 14. He was an angel that guarded over a massive cemetery and used this big church bell to calm restless spirits, and he ended up falling in love with a recently orphaned girl whose singing also calmed spirits. I ended up passing the name around a lot of stories before finally using it for my favorite veterinarian boy <3

Det. Shiloh Hawthorne

Y'know how I said I originally created Frankie for a musical idea I had? Shiloh also originated from that idea. Basically, the plot would've been about Frankie being murdered, acting as the narrator while her boyfriend (then named Elliot) tried to solve her murder, on top of having her own subplot about coming to terms with her death. Helping Frankie do that would've been Shiloh, then simply known as "The Reaper". He wasn't a detective back then, he was an agent of the Grim Reaper. Also, he had a crush on Frankie, but I nixed that bc ehhhhhh... I ended up working that "used to be a Reaper in a previous draft of the story" detail into his backstory, making him a Reaper-turned-detective.

Det. Chester "Chess" Murdoch

Probably the oldest character here in terms of when I created them! I've had this dude around since I was 10-11 years old! Back then, I wanted to be an animator, and I had an idea for a cartoon called "Chess and Alfie". It was about a human detective named Chess who solved cases alongside his talking tuxedo cat Alfie. Obviously, Alfie was eventually replaced with his twin sister Abby, though that happened way later. I don't remember what his last name was back then, so I just gave him the surname Murdoch bc it sounded cool.

Det. Abigail "Abby" Murdoch

Again, I created Abby looooong after Chess, ironic considering she's the older sibling in-story. I vaguely remember writing that Chess and Alfie-era Chess had an older sister, but that was such a long time ago that I could be misremembering.

Victoria Waterford

Not the most interesting fact, but those of y'all who were here when I first introduced these characters may remember that she was originally a baker instead of a hairdresser!

Robin Barrows

Was originally the protagonist of a different story idea I once had called "Trackside Town", about a girl trying to find her abducted parents in a mysterious, run-down city inhabited by monsters. Their last name was "O'Malley" back then, I ended up changing it to "Barrows" because I had the Clock Tower series of games on the brain at the time.

Xavier Lewis-Hall

He came about a bit later than some of the other characters. Like, pre-Mary Ann and Lucille, but still sometime after the original 8. I'd been requesting asks abt my then-recently-introduced-to-tumblr characters, and somebody (I believe it was @cutter-kirby ?) sent in an ask about which of my characters would tell/fall for the updog joke. I mentioned that Damien would tell it to "one of his kid cousins". Then I came up with the name "Xavier" for the oldest of said kid cousins for a post about how Frankie and Damien met, and I ended up liking him so much that I made him a fully-fledged character.

Jason Fitzpatrick

His name was originally "Freddie Fitzpatrick", and he was the husband of the main character of another musical idea I had (of which there were clearly a lot), simply entitled "Claire". Unlike the Jason we know now, Freddie was a sweetheart who loved his wife a whole lot. After reusing the "Fitzpatrick" name for this story, I changed his first name to "Jason" bc that was the name of one of my bullies in my last year of public school. Also bonus fact, I'm pretty sure that "Claire" musical is indirectly the reason I ended up dream-casting Lauren Lopez as Frankie, because I had also dream-casted the titular character of Claire as Lauren. Once I ditched the Claire idea, I ended up merging a lot of her character into Frankie, so uh,,, yeah,,,

Christina Baxter

...I honestly don't have much in the way of facts about her. Oops.

Skylar Fitzpatrick

His "seeing and talking to ghosts" thing was originally part of Robin's character. Skylar was created to flesh out Jason a bit more, and I gave him the seer traits instead bc I needed a way to justify his presence in the story. Though admittedly, his existence has had me struggling to figure out Robin's role in the story for ages now.

Hunter Luzzatto

Hunter's an odd case bc he technically has two different origins. His name came from the Trackside Town story that Robin was originally from, but the character concept (originally named Parker) came from an early draft of Frankie and Shiloh's origin (then called "Who Killed Frankie Falkenrath?"). I had an idea where the band of that show would also be characters in the show, and proto-Hunter was the guitarist of the band. He was a lot less antagonistic then, being more of an active ally to Frankie and proto-Shiloh.

Mary Ann Fleisher

So, you remember how I named Paul and Emma's landlord in DTfiles "Ernie Fleischer"? Believe it or not, Ernie was created a few months before Mary Ann. I just used a different spelling of his last name for Mary Ann bc hey why not?

Lucille Dagwood

Fun little trivia for you HoHF fans, her first name was originally "Harriet". I changed it bc I already had a ghost character with an H name, and I'd already long since established Hunter's character at that point. I decided I'd rather change the name of this new character than the one of an already established character.
