ok, ok hi :)
I just woke up with this thought in my head.
Reporter!Reader.
think about it, 141 would be so skeptical of having a reporter with them and just keep eyeing her (in my head is a woman, but they can be whatever you want) like is she going to talk shit about us?
She tells them no photos, just recording their voices so she can write about it later and elaborate her thoughts better than memory and little notes, which is awful to write on the battlefield. They are curious, battlefield? She says she covered the talibã takeover, her first real article was about the Yemen war, she was investigating the Qatari government and their human rights violations coming to their base, and talking to them is kinda a cooldown and lay low from her editor cause she got too many death threads, and this woman is laughing about a powerful government wanting her dead.
first of all, i'm sorry for leaving this in my inbox for almost three weeks now, but thank u so much for this request!!
i've been writing the "only you, darling" ever since halloween now, and it's a slowburn type of romance. originally, the main character (aka the reader) is a captive rescued by the 141, but i honestly was never a big fan of this trope. nothing wrong with it, it's a bit overused and i don't rlly like making my female characters oh so small and unable to do anything without the big, strong male characters lol.
so, i just wanna say thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart for this idea!! i've been researching a lot, cuz i don't want to make it cliche and cheesy but (at least a bit) realistic!!

God, looking at the financing for the Twitter takeover I get why Elon is so frantic and so unhinged with Twitter specifically - it's because he's sunk basically $27 billion of his money (yes I'm including the Tesla margin loan in that) into it (assuming he has even just his specific $20ish billion on hand) with $13 billion being loans he/Twitter has to payback to others and Chinese, Saudi, Emirati, and Qatari investors part of his deal that he also has to answer to and involve with how Twitter operates and functions - or doesn't.
And this will drag down and affect his other companies (Tesla directly but also SpaceX).
I have no sympathy for him and I'm laughing about it, but I can intellectually understand why he's even more pathetic and ridiculous now.

WHY PREMIER LEAGUE CLUBS HAVE FILED AGAINST MANCHESTER UNITED QATARI TAKEOVER.
Tumblr media
The race to buy Manchester United from the Glazers has taken a twist after major developments took place recently. The Red Devils, who have two bidders pushing and pulling bids to land them, were reported to be on sale by the Glazers several months ago.
Tumblr media
Since the bidding stage was opened, it is only Sir Jim Ratcliff and Sheikh Jasim who have submitted numerous bids for the English club. While Sir Jim Ratcliff is reported to be on a pole position to buy United, Jasim’s new bid has ignited a lot of speculation in the PL, causing friction between Manchester United rivals. Jasim was reported to have submitted a whopping offer of £6BN, leading to rival clubs raising caution over his source of money. As this is taking place, several PL clubs are said to have already began an investigation behind the scenes to unveil Sheikh Jasim’s source of revenue, and they are said to be ready to file a complaint to the FA as per the Athletic. Sheikh Jasim has long insisted however that his bid is made up of his own money and it is separate to Qatar Sports Investments, who own Paris Saint-Germain. Manchester United have spent heavily on transfers over the last 18 years, but they have always been under caution from the Financial Fair Play. This is due to the debt the Glazers have piled on the club throughout their tenure, with the club having debts worth over £500M as things stand. Read the full article

PSG, the new twist?
Where will Paris Saint-Germain play in the years to come? While he has just applied for the takeover of the Stade de France, the Parisian club could well evolve in two separate forums. While the dialogue of the deaf continues between the City of Paris and the Qatari management of Paris Saint-Germain, the capital club is looking more than ever for a new base. For now, it is the trail of a move to…

Manchester United takeover delayed as Glazers hold out for £6bn sale | Manchester United
The Glazers are intent on securing a higher fee for Manchester United than the initial bids of Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe, which were lodged at a maximum of £4.5bn. It leaves the American family’s wish to close any deal by the end of March looking unlikely. The bids from the Qatari Thani, via his Nine Two Foundation, and Ratcliffe, Britain’s richest person and the…
