#commissioned work #Robin OC #Ruiqi OC #drawing type: violet #drawing type: violet : rendered 3 #Ruiqi's dress is heavily based on an existing toucan-printed dress #my shiz #OCs #I was surprised (again) learning that it was more tricky to shade a simple T-shirt than the more detailed flowy dress #Not that shading's now much more easy to do it still take so much time and it makes correcting the lineart or anatomy later much more harder #but there's fun nonetheless #As long as I don't do a character design. #Among the drawing factors that I used to dread. character design had barely became any fun. #My body just literally shut down at the thought of designing a character. Like I just suddenly feel extremely drowsy and it's not something #I can control #I stare a the canvas #start thinking of a design... specially on out of nothing... and my brain just go like... oh wow it's sleep time! #I mean. It's not so dreadful if the design would be some girly girly thing like Card Captor Sakura level girly #So like the dress Ruiqi wore was based on an real dress because I can't come up with an original design #I mean. like. the client just said like 'well you can just chose to base the dress from these pics of outfits Ruiqi would wear'. And #I was like ;w;
