Arriba el 24 cm SK L / 40 "Theodor Karl", procedentes de los pre-dreadnoughts clases Kaiser Friedrich III y Wittelsbach, desarmados a primeros de 1915 y en 1916 respectivamente. Los cañones fueron instalados inicialmente en Bettungsschieschüst (plataformas de tiro) que requerían de varias semanas de trabajo para ser instaladas, por lo que a partir de Julio de 1916 empezaron a instalarlos en plataformas ferroviarias. Abajo el 38 cm SK L / 45 "Max", ocho piezas procedentes de los inacabados SMS Sachsen y SMS Württemberg (clase Bayern), instalados tanto en plataformas de disparo fijas como ferroviarias a partir de finales de 1917. Una de las primeras efectuó uno de los disparos con mayor alcance de la guerra, 44 kilómetros desde la batería Pommern en Flandes hasta Dunkerque. Una fue abandonada en Bruselas durante la retirada alemana a finales de 1918 y capturada por los belgas, que se la vendieron a los franceses y en 1940 recapturada por los alemanes, aunque no existen evidencias de que fuese utilizada durante la WWII. She served with the active fleet until 1908, participating in the normal peacetime routine of training cruises and fleet maneuvers. At the outbreak of World War I in August 1914, the ship was placed back in active duty for half a year for coastal defense. Kaiser Karl der Grosse was briefly used as a training ship and ended her career holding prisoners of war in Wilhelmshaven.
