【Lansheng Technology News】Recently, DB HiTek, a major Korean foundry, hired a power semiconductor expert from ON Semiconductor.
Recently, there has been constant news about Eastern Hi-tech's efforts to increase R&D and production of SiC and GaN. From announcing its entry into this field, purchasing core equipment, and introducing relevant talents, we can see its determination to enter the third-generation semiconductor field.
Dongbu Hi-Tech is not the only Korean company that wants to flex its muscles in the third-generation semiconductor field. Samsung has also previously accelerated its third-generation semiconductor foundry business by purchasing SiC/GaN equipment and hiring external experts with rich experience.

Bukan hal baru lagi kalau robot di masa sekarang bisa digunakan untuk membantu pekerjaan manusia. Baru-baru ini sebuah kafe di Daejeon, Korea Selatan, memanfaatkan teknologi robot sebagai barista dan pengantar menu.
Hal ini dilakukan agar interaksi antar pelanggan dan barista bisa berkurang demi mencegah penyebaran coronavirus yang masih belum usai.
“Ini dia pesanan Anda, silakan dinikmati. Sebaiknya diaduk terlebih dahulu untuk rasa yang terbaik,” kata robot tersebut ketika memberikan pesanan pelanggan dengan nampan yang tersambung pada bagian tubuhnya.
Coronavirus di Korea Selatan telah menjangkiti lebih dari 11.000 orang dan lebih dari dua ratus orang meninggal dunia. Kebijakan physical distancing yang ketat perlahan telah menjadi bagian dari hari-hari masyarakat setempat.
Karena itu, masyarakat sudah mulai bisa beraktivitas normal walaupun negara mereka belum sepenuhnya pulih dari pandemi Covid-19.
Menurut Lee Dong-bae, direktur riset di perusahaan Vision Semicon, perusahaan yang menghasilkan robot pintar ini mengatakan bahwa robot ini cocok untuk masa pandemi seperti sekarang.
“Sistem robot ini tidak memerlukan manusia untuk memasukkan data posisi pemesan menu. Gerak robot ini juga mulus karena kebanyakan kafe telah memberi jarak pada meja-meja mereka, sehingga robot bisa lewat dengan mudah,” katanya.
Robot ini dilengkapi dengan sistem coffee-making robotic arm dan robot pelayan dalam satu tubuh. Kemampuan robot ini bisa sampai membuat 60 jenis minuman berbahan kopi dan langsung mengantarkannya pada pelanggan di tempat duduk mereka. Kerjanya efisien. Enam jenis kopi bisa disajikan dalam waktu tujuh menit,
Robot dilengkapi pula dengan sistem self-driving yang memungkinkan dia menentukan jalur tercepat dan terbaik untuk mengantar pesanan.

Dengan adanya robot ini, kafe tersebut hanya memiliki seprang pegawai yang bekerja di bagian kue. Karyawan ini juga bekerja sebagai petugas kebersihan dan pengisi ulang bahan-bahan. Perusahaan penghasil robot ini menargetkan untuk menyuplai sekitar 30 kafe dengan robot dalam tahun ini.
Kira-kira di Indonesia bisa nggak ya menerapkan sistem seperti ini? Indonesia sendiri sudah berhasil lho membuat robot yang serupa. Adalah RAISA (Robot Medical Assistant ITS-Unair) yang punya fungsi mirip dengan robot kafe asal Korea Selatan.
Sesuai Namanya, robot ini bertugas di rumah sakit dan mampu membantu pasien yang diisolasi seperti dengan mengantar makanan, pakaian, dan obat-obatan. Kalau dikembangkan lebih lanjut dan diproduksi secara komersil, bukan nggak mungkin lho kita bisa punya robot seperti yang dimiliki Korea Selatan! (*)

As South Korea recovers from the deadly coronavirus, businesses are getting creative to ensure their customers are safe. Case in point: a café in Daejon, South Korea has hired a robot barista to take care of making and busing drinks around, Reuters reports.
Thanks to the robot, the café only has to employ a single human, who takes care of making pastries, as well as servicing and refilling their robot coworker. The robot can make 60 different types of coffee and deliver them to customers around the café.

The company behind the robot, Vision Semicon, is hoping its fleet of mechanical workers could help while South Korean society adjusts to what officials are calling “distancing in daily life” — the next phase of the government’s efforts to relax social distancing rules.
“Our system needs no input from people from order to delivery, and tables were sparsely arranged to ensure smooth movements of the robots, which fits will with the current ‘untact’ and distancing campaign,” Lee Dong-bae, director of research at Vision Semicon, told Reuters.
A downside: even more jobs could be lost as a result of the coronavirus. South Korea’s unemployment rate was not spared by the pandemic, which in April saw its largest decline since 1999.
