Same time as the IDW timeline. Here is the reference that I use: https://tfwiki.net/wiki/2005_IDW_timeline I've taken a lot of liberties and moved around some canon events to give me the characters I wanted (Kup, Drift, Hot Rod, Springer, Soundwave). These three fics take place in the 70s/80s long before the events of Escalation and All Hail Megatron.

Yeah, it's the same. Only the upper ranks know. Those down in the gutters of the Nemesis only hear rumors.

Yeah I remember that in the comics. No that will not be in the direction I am taking the main fic.

It's mildly radioactive. Spicy, but as harmless as a banana.

a) Corpsefucker-bot of course. b) Hard time coming up with on here, but he would call him that "Statue-of-Liberty-lookin' motherfucker." c) Starscream doesn't need a nickname, but instead would be accented with "Starscream, that fuck." or something of the like. d) Edgelord-bot, Baby-bitch-simpy-bot, Parasocial-bot (when He's feeling particularly scholarly). e) None. There are few that Alan wouldn't fuck with. Overlord would be one of them.

hi! I was wondering if you could tell us a bit more about your tfp soulmate Au that you talked about ?

Yeah, sure. I'll just talk about the basics since I don't know exactly what you wish for me to focus on. I mostly have worldbuilding notes, scenes, and concepts.

Not set at any specific time in the tfp universe.

The 'soulmate' mechanic is not naturally occurring; it is man-made. It was introduced, marketed, and it is not perfect. It's affected the world in ways no one was ready for.

'You' are morally gray. You work with a 'fixer' who passes along contract jobs. Most of those jobs are from people harmed by this new soulmate dynamic spread worldwide.

While some people benefit from the change, you've seen enough people get hurt and harmed by it. You've vowed that if anyone 'resonates' with you and insists on doing something about it, you're going to kill them.

Ofc you're going to match with Optimus because the scene in my head of you meeting his hologram, both of you feeling the pull, and you immediately trying to gut him but nothing happens is just 🤌

Optimus takes one look at you: "I can fix her."

Megatron takes one look at you: "I can weaponize her and piss off OP."

You join Decepticons because they will let you blow up corporations. And because conflict is just numnumnum🍫

Fighting. Back and forth. I haven't fleshed out much. I don't have an ending, so sadly, this project is on the backburner.

I know I was vague with some points, but I got to keep some things to myself, no? If and when I ever figure out certain hiccups, and especially how I want it to end, this would definitely be something I'd work on because I like this soulmate AU, enemies to lovers, reluctant hero, 'I can fix you/I'll never give up on you' trope.

I hope its not too weird of me to come out and say this but I hope you're doing okay. I've seen some of the things you've said and that you're not feeling yourself and I want you to know that its okay to take breaks and time to yourself. I hope you're putting yourself first........ and drink water.

Okay but no seriously, I teared up some and of course I'm going to deflect with humor and say everything is just a struggle right now but I'll be okay. But I've been saying I'll be okay for months and I'm still trying to get out of this funk. I don't like getting personal and would rather suffer silently, but fuck it - new year. I'm stepping out of my comfort zone for a hot minute.

I'm grieving. No one died. Just the dynamics of a relationship changed, and it's affected me deeply. I AM putting myself first, and that's why it hurts. It's affected my writing (thank the muses I spent my hiatus finishing the fics so I have stuff to post) where I struggle to focus. I struggle answering comments with that ❤️ energy I like putting out in the world. I struggle with thinking about Transformers, because that person cultivated my love for them, and is deeply tied to it all.

I'm actively working towards healing. I'm determined to be okay, someday. I just hate that it might take a while. I'll still post regularly, but I'm sorry I haven't been putting out the positive vibes, lately.

Story idea!

What if you, the main character, are trying to survive in a zombie apocalypse (zombies could be of any kind), and while trying to escape from a horde of them, you come across your unlikely and surprising savior.

SUNSTREAKER

An autobot who went on a patrol to cool off after he and his crew became stranded on a unknown world full of hostile organics after their ship was damaged by the decepticons, only to come across a seemingly non hostile running from a horde of them.

(Do you think this would be a good story to write about?)

Okay okay okay okay okay have you read World War Z by Max Brooks? How he handles the storytelling of a zombie apocalypse is just different and immersive. The book is filled with different accounts of survivors from all over the world. Unless we're talking about The Last of Us concept of infection via cordyceps, which is such a rich idea and adds the fear of infection through inhalation of spores. Either way, I imagine either of these universes with the Transformers thrown in would be a crossover I would absolutely read.

I gravitate towards a strong, competent MC, so don't let my bias change any ideas you have - BUT if the MC lived this long, they'd be a badass, a survivor, a fighter. I'm talking good with a gun, stealthy, cunning. In a world where society and common decency have collapsed, they might be wary as hell. Maybe even believe they're better off alone. Ahhh I'm at risk of drafting the intro on how MC and Sunstreaker would meet, and what would compel Sunstreaker to help, and how MC would trust him.

YES I think it would be an absolutely great story to write - but don't force yourself. You write what you want to read, and you'll be surprised who will come to see what story you're telling.

But my goal is to keep it immersive and steer away from that 'god-modded' perfection. It'll be slow, unreliable, clumsy, misunderstood, and cause lots of problems. Good thing we'll have friends to help us. But that cool gif be giving me some ideas...

Do you plan to write any fics about transformers prime?

I have an idea for one. It's in the very early stages - like more than a concept, but nothing beyond worldbuilding and character notes, and a few scenes drabbled out. There's no main plot planned, no ending, no major conflict. I just make notes when I think about it, but if I'm suddenly struck with knowing how to end it, then I'll definitely string it all together and write it out.
