I’m here in our hotel room (sort of) watching TV. The Lemon Twigs concert has been over for about two hours, and it was pretty fucking amazing. Probably the most musically talented act I’ve ever seen. And Michael D’Addario is quite the performer. We got to the concert venue pretty early (the hotel is literally right next to it) and we were right at the front of the stage, which is the closest I’ve ever been to any performance. The opening act were called Boa Constrictors, and they were good. The lead singer was very nice. He kept saying he loved us. When the Lemon Twigs finally came out, Michael did some AMAZING dance moves. My jaw literally hit the floor. I don’t want to speculate or try to guess anyone’s sexuality, but it would genuinely surprise me if Michael was completely straight. Not with those moves. There were a couple moments where he danced right over to my side of the stag and was practically on top of me! The videos I got were great. It was a little hard to hear the vocals of a lot of their songs because we were right by the speakers for the piano. It didn’t matter much though because their performance, plus the rest of the band, was excellent. The Fire was probably my favorite song they played that night, except maybe Brian singing If You Give Enough for the encore. It was just him and his guitar, and FUCK, can he sing. His voice is so beautiful. Mom cried, and so did I (nearly). It was an amazing night and I’m so glad I got to have this experience. I haven’t been to a concert like that in so long so it was really fucking refreshing. I should really thank mom more for driving me to places for concerts. I love The Lemon Twigs!!
