The King’s Avatar Podfic Event (is live!)

Hello Glory gamers!

The King’s Avatar Podfic Event has officially opened on the 20th of June PDT. (Look, I absolutely was not late by about 3 hours and some stuff being still TBA.) The event will run for the entirety of Summer 2021 (Northern Hemisphere, sorry southern people;); meaning the end date and time will be September 22, 2021 at 23:59:5 PDT.

There will be three (3) different raffles with prizes and the Main Raffle may have an extra prize added if participation is looking up!

The AO3 Collection is up, the Guidelines, Rules & Prizes have been finalized, and the prizes are confirmed. Click here for the Guidelines, Rules & Prizes

There will be “rewards” (ie. raffle tickets) for posting in conjunction to the following events as well:

QZGS Birthday Event

STAFF [Small Teams Alliance Fanworks Fest]

YuHuang Week TBA [August 8, 2021-August 14, 2021]

HanYe Week TBA [September 5, 2021-September 11, 2021]

There will be guidelines regarding how to get the extra tickets for working within the above events listed in the Guidelines, Rules & Prizes document (and on the carrd once that goes up. Curse you carrd.)

I hope this ends up being enjoyable for everyone and a new way for people to engage in fanworks, because there was a lot of talk about podfics and a potential event a while back. We don’t have many podfics in the fandom and they’re very loved by many people. So, I just hope that together we can make some amazing fanworks!

Please click keep reading if you want to see the other resources etc. but they should all be covered in the link above, I hope. Apologies on not having the carrd up yet, but it’s hard to navigate and I procrastinate a lot.

Additional apologies for the lack of event art up at the moment, I may have mixed some things up and delayed that. It is not the artist’s fault at all. I would attempt to graphics something up, but I won’t lie, I’m terrible at it and didn’t want to bug yet another person to do it.. Damn my brain sometimes. A lot of things may be a bit scuffed because I’m so scatterbrained these days.

CONTACT INFO ANNOUNCEMENT: TKA PODFIC EVENT

Hello everyone! It has come to my attention (thanks to a friend) that my discord account/settings are acting up. She told me that she was getting an error while trying to add me. Despite my confirming, again and again, that I had it set to accept incoming adds from everyone, it isn't working as such. It's even weirder because I've recently had someone add me, so I do not know what is going on and when it will be fixed.

I'm sorry about that issue and if you tried to prod me via that method, I apologize deeply.

In the meantime, please use another contact method from the Guidelines, Rules & Prizes document linked here. I am amending it with the new information about discord right now. I am still checking all the contact methods multiple times a day.

The King's Avatar Podfic Event: Official Announcement

When the Guidelines, Rules & Prizes document and Google Drive for the event went up last night, there was a portion about the third raffle, Oakleaf's Podfic Raffle [Rules], that was marked as TBA as a couple details were still being worked out.

I am happy to announce that everything has been finalized and the section has been updated with a run-down of the event and a link to learn more and enter.

I want to say a huge thank you to @oakleaffic for contacting me, after hearing about the upcoming event, with an offer to run a sub-event to try and get people new to making podfic to participate. Without their kindness, this third raffle and sub-event wouldn't be happening!

Another Change: There was an offer of a prize to any of the raffles to make a (drunken) podfic of the winner's chosen fic that I thought was completely in jest. Actually, it was serious and due to their brilliant drunk recording of the entirety of The Kong's Avatar by qyff, which is the subject of the Special Achievement Raffle, I thought it would be suitable to make it the second prize for the Special Achievement Raffle. That information has been added in as well.

I hope everyone who is interested will take a look at the above links to check out the new information! Also, I apologize for the delay, as it is my fault for the delay (as usual lol) in getting the final details added.
