As it turns out, the little boy that the Circuit Knights had kidnapped was actually a giant alien known as a Trigant that has the ability to hide itself in the form of innocent beings to conceal the power it can harvest from the universe around it.

It holds enough to power a planetoid transformed by the Circuit Chaps that is floating in orbit above the Earth in 1916, likely to be used to alter the Earth to some ends which remain a mystery.
