a thing i also wanna add re satoshi & changing his mind abt things is that like. a lot of the things he believes are very much deeply rooted in his value systems, & those being challenged often feels like a personal attack on him & his character. however comma he Can be sat down to listen/observe the nuances at play, & this combined with satoshi already scanning for nuance when he doesn't understand something can often result in his mind being changed or his views getting expanded to include greyer areas. with a lot of things, it's not even that he doesn't understand the whys, it's that he's missing the context which transforms the whys into the behavior in other people, understands the thought processes without understanding why it was acted upon.
