A Shoulder to Lean On | A3! Rare Pairs Week 2020 – Day 3 (Tasuku/Izumi)
Tumblr media
And my entry for Day 3 of the A3! Rare Pairs Week is… Tasuku/Izumi!! For anyone who’s read my series “Intertwined Roots”, you’ll know that I absolutely love the same age group that comprises of Izumi, Tsumugi, Tasuku and Itaru. Honestly, Izumi paired with any of these three guys are my top Izumi ships, and I’ve been meaning to write a Tasuku/Izumi fic since I’ve written the other two ships already! So, I’m very glad that this week has kicked my butt into finally getting one out!

“Seriously! What were you thinking?!” Tasuku growled, carefully examining Izumi’s rapidly swelling foot.
She winced as he placed the ice pack against her ankle.
“S-Sorry, I thought I could handle it.”
“How could you possibly handle anything if the boxes were piled so high that you couldn’t even see past them?” he demanded.
“It-It’s not like they were heavy! And no one was supposed to be over there anyway, so it’s not like I would risk bumping into anyone,” Izumi protested sullenly.
They were currently sitting in the lobby of a theatre on Veludo Way. Another theatre company had asked for Izumi’s help as an extra stagehand during their rehearsals. She had been moving some boxes of spare props and supplies to the storage area backstage when she had tripped over some uneven flooring and fallen, spraining her ankle on the way down.
Tasuku, who was guest acting for the play, had happened to come across her sprawled on the floor when he had come out of the nearby washroom. After he had helped her to the lobby – with a princess carry, much to her embarrassment – he had fetched an ice pack and was currently fiddling with a roll of bandages.
“It doesn’t matter if you thought no one was going to run into you. There were so many other issues with what you were doing! Like the potential of tripping and falling – which is exactly what happened,” he chided gruffly. “And have you considered that there was also a problem with the fact that no one was supposed to be in that area? What if I hadn’t happened to be there? You know that no one usually uses that washroom – I just happened to be using it because the main one was full. What would you have done if no one came to help you? You would have made your ankle so much worse! I can’t believe someone your age can be so stupid! You need to learn what your limits are and stick with it!”
Izumi couldn’t help but flinch at Tasuku’s harsh tirade. He could give Sakyo a run for his money.
“I’m sorry…” she apologized again, having nothing else to say for herself. Though a part of her wanted to refute that she did know her limits, but that she just hadn’t calculated for the uneven floor, she also knew that he was correct that she could have been more careful and carried less boxes at a time. She was also fortunate that none of the props had been damaged when she fell.
“Here. That should do it for now. You should ice it more and elevate it when we get home. We’ll have to find you some extra pillows or cushions or something when we get back to the dorm,” he said as he finished wrapping her foot in a bandage.
“Thanks, Tasuku,” she replied. “I guess we should call someone to pick us up? Hopefully Sakyo or Itaru are home… I don’t have enough cash on me for a taxi.”
“It’s fine, I’ll take you home,” Tasuku responded, slinging his bag over his shoulder and shortening the strap so that it hung snug in front of his stomach.
“Huh? But, you walked here too, didn’t you?”
“Yeah. It’s only a 20-minute walk back to the dorm, so I can just carry you home,” he replied without batting an eye.
“You’re going to what?!” she exclaimed.
“We don’t have enough money for a taxi, right? I can just give you a piggyback. It’s such a short distance home, there’s no point in calling someone,” Tasuku responded. “Besides, it’ll be like resistance training.”
“You’re not serious.”
“Hurry up and get on,” he directed, turning his back to her and crouching down.
Izumi was dumbfounded by this turn of events. When was the last time someone had given her a piggyback ride? And to be given one now that she was a full-grown adult… A part of her still wanted to call someone, but what Tasuku had said made sense. They really were only a short walk home… Finally, shaking her head and not quite believing that she was going through with it, she slung her purse to sit behind her and put her arms over Tasuku’s shoulders.
Checking to see that she was securely clasped around his neck, he carefully stood up and wrapped his arms snugly under her thighs. Then, without another word, he walked them out of the theatre and into the night air.
For the next couple of minutes, they strode wordlessly down the sidewalk of Veludo Way. As they caught the looks of passersby, Izumi couldn’t help but feel bad for inconveniencing the man carrying her.
She hated this. Hated feeling this way – like she was a burden. Izumi didn’t know when it had all started anymore, but for as long as she could remember, she had always done her best to be helpful and useful. To prove her worth – as if she needed to remind the world that she existed.
This fear of being left behind and forgotten was one of the reasons that drove her to constantly take on jobs with other theatres. She wanted to ensure that she could learn as many skills as possible and gain as much experience as she could so that she could be of continued use to Mankai Company. She didn’t think she could lose that, too.
“Umm, sorry for being such a bother, Tasuku,” Izumi said quietly, her negative thoughts coming to a head. “It really was stupid of me to have been so careless…”
Tasuku didn’t respond right away. Then, she heard – and felt – him sigh.
“I’m not upset, okay? I was just worried. You… you have this bad habit of taking too much on your plate. You’ve been packing your schedule lately, too, and when I saw you on the floor… My heart stopped. If something serious happened to you, I don’t know how everyone would keep it together. We would probably fall apart.”
Izumi silently mulled over his words. It was rare for him to say so much and to be this honest with her. It made a warm feeling bloom inside the depths of her stomach, and she was glad that he couldn’t see her face, because she was fairly certain that she was blushing. Only just a little, though.
“Thanks, Tasuku… I… I just like to keep myself busy. I want to keep improving myself and do as much as I can for the Company. But, I guess I can get a bit overenthusiastic sometimes. Like with those boxes.”
“Well… it’s not always a bad thing. Just know that you aren’t in it alone, when it comes to Mankai. We all call that place home – none of us want to see it go under. You’ve got at least twenty sets of shoulders to lean on, and… mine’s always open if you need it,” Tasuku replied as he stopped walking to readjust her weight on his back. “Also… sorry about earlier. I was too harsh. I know I say more than I need to when I get, uh… heated.”
“That’s true… I do see you scold Tsumugi a lot. I guess this is just how you treat your friends,” she remarked with a chuckle.
Another silence fell between them as he started walking again, and Izumi felt disappointed that their conversation appeared to be over. However, to her surprise, he spoke again a moment later.
“… You know that I don’t see you as a friend, right?”
“What?! You don’t?!” Izumi exclaimed, feeling both shocked and indignant. “After all this time?! We’ve gone drinking so many times together, too! What the heck?!”
She felt Tasuku sigh again as she pounded his back with one fist.
“Look – I didn’t mean it that way. I just— I see you as more than a friend, okay?” he snapped back, resolutely keeping his eyes facing forward.
Izumi froze.
“Wait. What did you just say?” she asked slowly. She was sure she had heard him correctly, but she almost didn’t believe it.
“Nothing. I said nothing. Forget about it.”
“Huh?! No way! There’s no way I’d forget something like that!” Izumi retorted.
“Didn’t you just say you didn’t hear what I said?!” he growled.
“I just want to hear you say it again.”
“No.”
“C’moooon! Say it again!”
“No!”
“Saaaaay iiiittt!”
“I swear – I’m going to leave you here and you can walk home!” Tasuku finally snapped.
“You wouldn’t dare!” she taunted back, butterflies fluttering in her stomach at the familiar banter between them. “If you do, I’ll tell Tsumugi on you. I bet I could get him to tell me tons of embarrassing stories about you as compensation.”
“Okay, I’m really going to drop you.”
Izumi shrieked as she felt Tasuku loosen his grip on her legs and she started to slip down his back. However, he immediately caught her and bounced her up onto his waist again.
“You’re the worst! I can’t believe you just did that!” she scowled, wrapping her arms firmly around his neck – just in case – and definitely not because she wanted to feel closer to him.
“Serves you right,” he snorted.
“Fine, I’ll let you off the hook this time – since you’re carrying me home,” Izumi replied, her voice softening. “Thanks, Tasuku.”
Then, she stretched her neck forward and planted a quick kiss on Tasuku’s cheek before moving back and nuzzling her cheek against his broad and warm shoulder. She couldn’t help a big smile from crossing her face as she glimpsed – from the corner of her eye – his ears turning bright red.
Tumblr media
I really do enjoy the relationship between these two. I’m just such a sucker for friends/lovers who banter with each other. It’s just so much fun writing Izumi keeping Tasuku on his toes, too, haha. I also have a lot of feelings about Izumi. I didn’t go too much into it here, but I hope to further explore my take on her in future fics!!
I’m happy I was able to get out three entries within the actual Rare Pairs Week! I just need to ride this wave of productivity and finish up the rest of the entries in the next week or two before I lose steam (and hoping real life won’t get in the way of my plans)!!
Thanks again for reading and please do leave a comment with what you thought! If you enjoyed this, please do help me out with a reblog!
Please stay tuned! Next entry will be that ItaIzu smut I was talking about previously back on Day 1, haha.

Worthy | A3! Rare Pairs Week 2020 – Day 1 (Itaru/Izumi)
Tumblr media
I AM SO LATE, but welcome to my first entry for the A3! Rare Pairs Week 2020!
This writing event is being hosted by @A3!_69min on Twitter and AO3 and focuses on writing romantic fics for unpopular A3! pairings. As it happens, every single Izumi pairing except Sakyo/Izumi is a rare pair per the event’s definition of rare pair.
SO, MY GOAL IS TO WRITE IZUMI SHIPS ALL WEEK!
Of course, I’m starting off with my OTP – I love ItaIzu so much, I’ll take any excuse to write them.

Izumi was curious.
The question had been on her mind all day since her conversation with Muku over breakfast. The middle schooler had been excitedly telling her all about the shojo manga he was currently reading. Apparently, he hadn’t slept well the night before because he had gotten worked up over the latest chapter.
“You’re staring a hole into my head,” her boyfriend remarked suddenly, though his eyes never left the television screen in front of him, his thumbs flying across his controller.
Itaru was playing some kind of action-adventure game and was currently exploring an underground dungeon with his character. Ever since she had mentioned that she liked the background music, he played this particular game whenever he had to wait for her to finish reviewing her post-rehearsal notes.
“Oh, sorry – I was just… curious about something. But, it’s a bit, er, awkward to ask about…” Izumi responded, one hand fidgeting with the pages of her notebook and the other absentmindedly poking the back of her pen into the Poyo – some pink, round mascot character that Itaru liked – cushion on her lap.
“Oh? Why don’t you try me?”
“Well… I was talking to Muku this morning about the shojo manga he’s reading. There was a scene where the rival character was confessing to the heroine. It was apparently a very heartfelt and passionate declaration of love. Something about how even seeing her with the other guy made his heart feel like it was being torn apart by knives. And that he hated seeing her cry because of that other guy and that he’d give up everything to whisk her away and make her happy. It ended with him asking the heroine to pick him instead.”
“Ahhh, yeah, that’s a classic. Never fails to stir up the fans,” Itaru responded with a knowing nod.
“And then, Muku gave me a 20-minute seminar on classic shojo jealousy scenes and, uh, well… They were more, um, thrilling than I expected? Sooooo, it kinda just, you know… made me wonder,” Izumi stiltedly blurted out. She couldn’t believe she was going to ask him this – her face was already flushed with embarrassment. Maybe Muku’s starry-eyed wonder was contagious. “Do you, umm… ever get jealous of seeing me with other guys?”
“Uh… I’m not sure how to tell you this, but you have twenty other guys, twenty-one if you count Kamekichi, hanging off you – sometimes literally – every single day. If I got jealous every time one of them sat next to you, I’d be six-feet under already.”
“Okay, yeah, that was dumb question – let me rephrase it!” Izumi backpedaled frantically. “What would you do if someone else confessed their love to me – like they were trying to steal me away? Would you be jealous? Would you fly into a blind rage? Or pin me against a wall and forcefully kiss me?! Or barge in and passionately declare: ‘Choose me, not him’?!”
“Man, you really are starting to sound like Muku – all of those options sound awful, by the way. But, in all seriousness, I, uh… don’t think that would ever happen,” he responded with a nervous chuckle.
Izumi felt herself deflate a bit, unable to help feeling just a teensy bit disappointed that he had shot down her fantasies so quickly. At the same time, she wasn’t sure that she could even imagine him acting that way. She just felt like… it wouldn’t be Itaru anymore – and that thought also made her feel uncomfortable. Maybe this whole jealousy thing wasn’t as exciting as she had thought it would be a few minutes ago.
As her thoughts came full circle, she suddenly heard an odd sound from the television. She had been watching Itaru play this game for a few days now and recognized the sounds his character made when he was dying. Thinking that he was losing against a boss, Izumi glanced at the screen and saw that he was just fighting a bunch of normal enemies. She noted that the usual boss music wasn’t playing, either. Yet, his health bar was slowly, but surely, depleting.
Thinking it was strange for him to be playing so badly, Izumi shifted her attention from the television screen to look at Itaru. What she saw made the blood in her veins turn to ice. Unceremoniously throwing her notebook and poor Poyo to the floor, she practically hurled her body across the empty space between them.
Itaru had taught her the basics of how to use his GameStation when she had borrowed a Blu-ray movie from a friend, and she knew that, if she pressed the middle button on his controller, it would bring the user back to the home screen. Reaching over his arm, she pushed down on the middle button and a blue screen immediately popped up, effectively pausing the game. Gently prying the controller away from Itaru’s limp hands, she set it down on his coffee table before she turned off the television screen.
“Itaru, what’s wrong?” she asked worriedly, placing a hand on one of his arms and squeezing it gently.
The salaryman’s brow was furrowed, and he kept his face averted from hers, gaze trained on the floor. Even from his profile, she could see that his mouth was set in a firm and tight line. It had been a long time since she’d seen him make this expression.
“You’re not going to like what I’m about to say,” he responded after a long pause.
Izumi could feel her stomach drop. She had heard those words before – it had been right before her last breakup. She had thought things were going well between them, but maybe she was wrong…?
“Why don’t you try me?” she prompted, trying to keep her voice light as she imitated his words from earlier.
At the same time, she did her best to brace her heart, despite that it was starting to beat erratically. Whatever he said, she would graciously accept it – telling herself that she couldn’t afford to have things be awkward between them.
“Getting jealous over someone… it only happens when you don’t want them taken away from you, right?” Itaru said slowly, deliberately. “So… I don’t think I could ever be jealous… because… I… I don’t feel that way.”
Izumi couldn’t have possibly braced hard enough for that kind of impact. She could feel a hot feeling well up in her throat and tears were already prickling at the back of her eyes.
“Does… Does that mean you don’t want to be with me, anymore?” she asked, unable to help the waver in her voice.
Her question hung in the air unanswered as she watched him clench and unclench his hands on his lap, his eyes still stuck on the floor.
“Itaru, will you look at me? Please?” she begged. She was starting to feel light-headed and she just… She just needed to ground herself somehow.
After a long moment, he shifted his position to angle himself towards her on the couch, though his eyes remained downcast.
Izumi gently cupped his face in her hands and lifted his head to level with her own. She could feel his jaw clenched beneath her palms.
“Itaru, talk to me,” she coaxed gently, fighting to keep her voice steady. “What did you mean earlier?”
Though he didn’t move her hands away, he continued to avert his eyes.
“I… I can’t be jealous,” he began quietly. “Because… if someone else confessed to you, it’d be better that way. I’d be happy.”
“Why would you say that?” Izumi demanded, her tone coming out harsher than she had intended. She inhaled deeply to try and calm herself, though her brain was still rattled by his words. “Weren’t you the one who confessed to me first, Itaru? You asked me to give you a chance, so why would you think that way?”
A long moment passed between them in silence, but Izumi could see Itaru’s emotions warring on his face. She didn’t dare breathe until he finally opened his mouth again.
“Sometimes… I think it was a mistake that I asked you out,” he said quietly, his voice cracking as he continued on. “The more time I spend with you… the more I think about how… how you deserve someone better than me.”
Suddenly, she felt a wet sensation tickle against her fingers. As tears fell from his magenta-coloured eyes, Izumi was struck by several emotions.
The first was awe. For the first time, she understood what it meant when people said that there were beautiful criers. Though she knew that it was morbid, at that moment, she truly thought that Itaru was the most beautiful man she had ever seen, even as tears blotted his cheeks and turned his eyes red.
The second was sorrow. She felt unspeakable sadness that this person before her had struggled through so much in his life that he felt unworthy of being with someone he professed to love and thought that she would be better off without him.
Anger was the third. She was angry at herself for being unable to reassure him, to stop him from feeling this way despite the amount of time they had already spent together.
Last of all, she felt a surge of… something. She had only been in a couple of casual relationships before, and none of them as passionate as the one she had experienced with Itaru in the past half a year. Nor were any of them as comfortable as what she felt when she was with him. Spending time with Itaru both calmed her and brought butterflies to her stomach. Never in her life had she felt like she mattered as much as she did than when this man looked at her.
Was this love? She didn’t know, since she had no landmark to compare it against. But, what she was sure of was that she didn’t want to see Itaru look this way. She wanted to see him with his usual crooked smirk, just like the one he always gave when he teased her. She wanted to see his eyes crinkle like they did when he won a game. She wanted to see a smile on his face – like the one that bloomed across his face whenever the curtains fell after a successful Spring Troupe performance.
She didn’t know when it had started, but she was crying as well.
“Itaru,” she started, ignoring the salty taste in her mouth as her tears rolled past her lips, turning his face in an attempt to meet his gaze. “You… You don’t mean that, do you.”
“I do,” he said firmly, still refusing to look her in the eye. Instead, he took her hands in his and removed it from his face – but rather than letting them go, his fingers squeezed hers tightly.
“No, you don’t,” she replied just as forcefully, finding her footing again as her heart resolved itself. “Because if you did, then you wouldn’t look so torn right now. Your hands wouldn’t be shaking. If you would truly be happy to have someone take me away from you, then you wouldn’t have been dying against enemies that you can usually beat in your sleep.”
Itaru closed his eyes, as if he were wincing in pain.
“Itaru, please. Don’t push me away.”
A fresh stream of tears rolled down his face as he let out a rasping breath, shoulders shaking.
“Did you know, the look on your face just now was so similar to when you told me you wanted to quit the troupe? You couldn’t look at me when I asked you to admit that you weren’t interested in theatre – that you didn’t care about performing with the others,” she said softly, using her thumb to wipe away the tears streaking his face.
As a quiet sob tore its way out of Itaru’s throat, he leaned forward and buried his head against her shoulder, quickly soaking the material of her shirt. Letting her own tears fall, she lightly ran her fingers through his hair.
“I… I want… to be with you… I want to feel worthy of you,” he gasped out in between sobs.
“Itaru, I’m not some deity on a pedestal. I’m just a regular person, like you. You don’t have to be worthy of anything to be with me,” she replied.
She felt him shake his head against her shoulder, his hair tickling against her chin.
“If you still think that way, then… then let me tell you what I told you once before. Give yourself a little more time,” Izumi said, wrapping her arms around him, and nuzzling her face into his hair. “You owe it to yourself to keep trying. And… it’s not all on you. I’ll keep trying, too. I want to be a person that’s worthy of your efforts.”
Then, after a long moment cradled in her arms, Itaru slowly lifted his head and finally allowed his red-rimmed eyes to meet hers, a small, lop-sided smile sneaking its way onto his lips.
“Well… then I hope you’re ready to accept responsibility for your actions again.”
 “Of course!”
Tumblr media
I had hoped to put this out on the actual first day of this week, but I kept rewriting it because I wasn’t satisfied with it. Even now, I’m not completely pleased with the finished product, but, I honestly don’t know how long it would take me to finish writing if I kept mulling over it! So, I decided to finally just settle with this version and post it and not look back!!
In the end, I still got my central point across: which is that I wanted to write about how and why someone doesn’t feel jealous in a romantic relationship. And, so, this happened, haha. But, I didn’t want a sad ending, so I ended up on a hopeful note.
Anyway, I APPARENTLY ONLY WRITE ITAIZU ANGST. I’m so sorry, Itaru – I’ll do you right next time!! No, really, HAHA. My entry for Day 2 (which will hopefully get written out in the next couple of days) is another ItaIzu and it’s NOT sad, I promise. In fact, it’s just PWP, LOLOL.
If you liked my first entry, please do stick around for my other pieces for “A3! Rare Pairs Week 2020”! After my ItaIzu for Day 2, I’ll be moving on to other Izumi pairings. It’s a secret for now which pairings will all be covered in the end, but I’m here to spread the Izumi love!!
Thank you for reading and please do leave a comment letting me know what you think! Any reblogs are always greatly appreciated and would really help me out!
I hope to see you again! Bye for now!

Stronger Than Chamomile | A3! Rare Pairs Week 2020 – Day 2 (Azuma/Izumi) | 18+, NSFW
Tumblr media
Again, I am very late, but I didn’t have time to pre-write my entries, so I’ve been writing as I go!!
Also, for those who read my Day 1 entry… I’M SO SORRY, I LIED – I thought Day 2 was going to be ItaIzu again, but as I was writing I realized Day 2’s prompt fit so perfectly for this entry (which I had originally planned for later in the week), so I decided to swap them! The ItaIzu fic that was originally supposed to be for today fits a later prompt much better as well, so it will still pop up soon if you were looking out for it!
But, for now, please enjoy my piece for the “Sleepover” prompt, starring Izumi and Azuma! This takes place chronologically after the “Into the Night” event and is basically a Rated R sequel to Azuma’s “Wait Until Dark” SR card backstage story, haha. It’s honestly just PWP, though. I have nothing to say for myself. I hope you all enjoy!

As Azuma approached his room after taking his usual late-night stroll, he was surprised to see a certain director standing outside his door.
“Izumi, were you looking for me?” Azuma asked as he came up to her. “I hope you weren’t waiting long.”
“A-Azuma!” Izumi squeaked, whirling around at his greeting. “S-Sorry – you scared me! I actually just got here a few minutes ago.”
“Well, that’s good to hear. I wouldn’t want you to catch a chill, after all – considering you’re only in your pajamas,” the older man remarked. “Why don’t we chat inside?”
With a nod, Izumi followed him into his room and settled herself on the couch as he took off his cardigan and hung it in his closet.
“So, what brings you here so late, Izumi? Is something the matter?” Azuma asked as he finally settled himself across from her. He could see a slight blush across her cheeks, and he couldn’t help chuckling lightly to himself.
“U-Umm, well,” she started nervously, fidgeting with the hem of her pajama shirt. “I… I was having trouble falling asleep.”
“Ahhh – I’d be happy to make some chamomile tea for you again,” he replied, getting up from his seat to fetch his tea set and water kettle.
Just a few weeks ago, he had caught Izumi wandering around in a bout of sleeplessness. He remembered that she had knocked right out after some chamomile tea and the help of a heated eye mask, and some relaxing scents and sounds. Running through his mental supply list, he was sure that he still had a pack of the eye masks left and he had plenty of the lavender incense he had used last time.
“A-Actually! I-I think I need something, umm, stronger than chamomile to put me to sleep today,” Izumi responded, her blush much more pronounced than earlier.
Azuma’s eyebrows raised a fraction of an inch as his eyes noted her flustered expression and the movements of her thighs squeezing together. A knowing smile spread across his lips as his hand reached into his storage cupboard.
“How about a nightcap, then?” he asked breezily, pulling out two sake cups.
“Th-That, um, should help, I think,” Izumi answered stiltedly.
The silver-haired man hummed to himself as he poured out two cups of sake and handed one to the young woman in front of him. She stared at the cup for a moment, as if resolving something, and then threw back the sake in one gulp. She coughed once as she wiped her mouth with the back of a hand, and then pushed the cup across the table towards him.
“I-I need one more, please.”
Azuma chuckled and wordlessly poured her a second cup as he took a sip of his own. This time, she drank it a bit more slowly. Leaving Izumi to nurse her cup, he stood up once more and lit a stick of incense.
“That smell… it’s not lavender, is it?” Izumi asked as the scent wafted across his room.
“No, this is a citrus-scented one,” he replied. “I thought we might want something more… invigorating.”
He didn’t think that she could turn any redder, but he was proven wrong.
“You look like you have something on your mind, Director,” Azuma teased gently, settling back onto the couch. “I’d love to help you, if you want to tell me what’s the matter.”
After a long moment of Izumi staring a hole into his coffee table, she finally lifted her head to look him in the eyes.
“Azuma… I’m… I’m having trouble sleeping,” Izumi said with determination. “And it’s… it’s because I can’t stop thinking about you, uh, doing things… to me.”
Her voice practically squeaked at her last words and Azuma found it absolutely adorable.
“My, my, what kind of things could you be talking about?” Azuma asked mischievously, setting his sake cup down. “I’m afraid you’ll have to give me a bit more detail to catch me up to speed. My mind doesn’t work as fast as it used to, you know.”
Instead of responding right away, Izumi suddenly stood up and crossed the space between them. Then, she was on his lap, straddling his hips.
“Th-These kinds of things,” she gasped out, flushed and already panting as she pressed herself against his crotch.
Azuma chuckled deep in his throat in response and placed a long finger against her slightly parted lips.
“I’ll have you know, that I don’t usually offer these kinds of services to my clients. But, since you’re not one of my clients, I’ll make a very special exception for you,” he said with a seductive smile. “Now, why don’t you be a good girl and crawl onto my bed for me? I’d much rather you be laying down comfortably.”
As if she were in a daze, Izumi slowly climbed off him and clambered onto his bunkbed. In the meantime, he proceeded to light several candles and put on a CD with some soft music. Then, he flicked off the overhead lights and pulled himself onto his bed, where Izumi was on her back with half-lidded eyes. The candles backlit her perfectly.
Crawling over her, he leaned down and nuzzled his face into the crook of Izumi’s neck, smiling as she gasped and squirmed under him.
“By the way, I’m very flattered that you think of me this way,” he whispered into her ear. “I’ll be sure to show you my appreciation properly.”
Then, he slowly took the lobe of her ear into his mouth and sucked gently before licking up the back of her ear and then down her neck. Izumi flinched at the foreign sensation and squirmed beneath him. As he moved down her neck, he made sure to suckle at the delicate skin – just enough to draw a gasp from her mouth, but not enough to leave a mark.
Once he made his way down to her collarbone, reaching the juncture of where her skin met her pajama top, he slowly began to unbutton her shirt. With each inch revealed, he pressed a delicate kiss against her bare skin, revelling in the quivers of her body as he trailed his other hand down her clothed back.
“How naughty. You came here without even putting on a bra,” he chided lightly, tracing the bottom curve of an exposed breast with the tip of his finger.
Izumi let out a gasp at the sensation, arching her back, as if doing so would bring his hand closer.
“I-I didn’t think to put it back on when I came over,” she replied, voice breathy.
Having completely unbuttoned her shirt, Azuma tugged gently slipped her shirt of one shoulder. Reading his cue, Izumi sat up slightly and allowed him to slide the rest of her shirt off her left arm. As he did so, he peppered feather light kisses on her shoulder, moving down her bicep, elbow and forearm.
When his lips reached her wrist, he lapped at it with his tongue, swirling a circle on it before he sucked and nipped at the fragile surface, his other hand still lightly gliding up and down the side of her torso. Izumi moaned lustily as he left a mark.
Next, he licked up the outside of her thumb, and took her pointer and middle finger into his mouth. Making sure that his eyes were locked with hers, he suckled on them gratuitously, as if they were exquisite candy, taking note of her mouth parting and eyes glazing over. Planting a kiss on her left palm, he tossed her shirt off the side of the bed, letting it flutter harmlessly onto one of his couches below.
Then, he took her other arm and planted wet kisses all along it, starting from her wrist this time and ending at her shoulder, before he began to leave rosy flowers along the skin of her chest as he moved down to her breasts.
“A-Azuma,” Izumi moaned, pushing her chest against his mouth as he took one of her nipples between his lips.
Suckling wetly on one of her breasts, his other hand reached up and gently massaged the other, pinching the perky nipple between his thumb and forefinger. His other hand pressed firmly down on right her hip as she writhed beneath his ministrations.
Removing his hand from her chest, he moved it down, trailing his fingertips against her stomach, until it reached the waistband of her pajama pants. Hooking his manicured fingertips into the waistband, but purposely not catching her panties, he slipped them off her bottom and slid them down her legs.
“I don’t think I’ve mentioned it yet, but you really do make me want to eat you up,” Azuma remarked as he sat himself back on his heels, already feeling a tightness in his own pants. As if to emphasize his point, he picked up one of Izumi’s legs and nipped at her ankle, eliciting a yelp from the brown-haired woman beneath him.
Suckling on the spot he had bitten to ease the pain, he began to kiss his way down her leg as well, switching to leaving little love bites every so often, until he finally reached the apex of her thighs.
Even in the dim lighting cast by the candles, he could see the dampness on her thin panties. With his nose practically buried in her most private part, he could smell her arousal.
Planting another wet kiss on the inside of her thigh, he then dragged his tongue down the crease of her thigh and pelvis, skirting the edge of her underwear. Izumi twitched violently beneath him and he heard her sharp intake of breath. Then, he moved to licking her panties directly, right over the damp area he had seen earlier, soaking it more with his own saliva.
Above him, he could hear Izumi panting as the strokes of his tongue rubbed her panties against her sensitive lips.
“I think you’re just about done with these, don’t you think?” Azuma asked, fingers carefully grasping at the sides of her completely soaked panties.
Izumi could only answer with a nod, and Azuma slipped them off before he carelessly threw them into a corner of his room – it would be much more fun if she couldn’t find them later.
Then, he brought his face back between her legs and planted a kiss right over her opening, relishing in the warm liquid that gushed onto his lips, before he brought the flat of his tongue to lick her in one long motion.
“Ahh!” she cried out once before her voice devolved into a long moan as he continued to stroke her with his tongue.
He felt her hands bury themselves into his hair, shoving his face deeper into her pussy. Azuma repeatedly licked her in a steady rhythm as Izumi began grinding herself into his face, her pants becoming louder and louder, punctuated by gasps and moans.
Feeling her movements becoming more erratic against him, he moved his mouth over her clitoris and began to suckle and gently flick at the nub with his tongue. The timbre of her voice changed as she moved faster against him, her thighs squeezing tight on either side of his head.
A few moments later, she let out several choked gasps as he felt her tense beneath his tongue, legs constricting even more. She spasmed against his face as he retracted his lips. Then, as if all energy had drained from her, her thighs dropped tiredly to the soft surface of the bed.
Licking her juices off his lips, he smiled down at her sated face. The director’s eyes were drooping, and she looked as if she was going to pass out.
From beside his pillow, he grabbed a soft tissue and gently wiped the mess between her legs before draping his blanket over her naked body.
“Close your eyes and go to sleep, Izumi,” he murmured quietly, laying himself down beside her, careful to not jostle the young woman.
“Azu… Azuma, but what about… about you?” she asked drowsily.
“Shhhh, just enjoy the feeling and sleep,” Azuma cooed, gently stroking her hair. “And, don’t you worry about me. I’m sure you’ll make it up to me the next time you come for… a little sleepover.”
With that, he pressed a kiss against Izumi’s temple and watched her eyelids flutter shut as she fell into a deep slumber.

I wouldn’t say that smut is my strong point, but there isn’t enough Izumi smut out there and I have a need to fill the void!! I’ve never tried writing Azuma before, and was hoping to read Nocturnality before I tried tackling him, but this idea wouldn’t leave my head and so I just did my best!! Hopefully he wasn’t too out of character!
Feel free to leave me a comment with what you thought! Any reblogs are always appreciated!
My next entry for A3! Rare Pairs Week is a SFW piece, and will star a new Izumi pairing that I haven’t written for yet! I’m really hoping to get it out before the end of the weekend, so please stay tuned if you’re interested!
