Brain dead weekend which means I have been playing genshin. I proceeded to speedrun all the lantern rite events to get a c6 xq, hunt bosses to level up sucrose, raiden, and yunjin, do two floors of spiral, and do some artifact hunting all before I touched the sumeru main quest again

#you can tell i really enjoyed it #anyway with the power of mashing next button as much as possible i jave reached the abandoned hospital part of the quest #seems interesting i like exploration much more than listening to characters tlak i just DONT CAREEEE #im v curious about kaveh tho alhaitham is like meh for me but better than dehya or candace #theyre very meh and i dont care for sexy bikini outfits #tbh the only resson im doing main qhest is to not be locked out from mond expansion :( #anyway in pulls i got a c6 noelle finally #which means time to buckle down and properly build her #im.mostly there i think #adwen plays genshin

am doing the second chasm main story quest, and its really interesting how piercing together the lore is slowly getting more... main quest....

as it should have been from the start maybe...

anyway

so the monster invasion from 500 years ago was frontlined at liyue’s chasm, so i guess it didn’t go further. i doubt it hit mond proper either, since the big battle area seems to be where the sword cementary is + the dragon fight. inazuma seems to have been entirely overrun for the most part, and i haven’t gotten further into sumeru to theorize any about that...

The more I play FFXV the more I realize... this is the closest I've come to recreating the feeling of playing genshin impact back when I enjoyed it

#adwen plays ffxv #to be clear it is not as bad as genshin is #though i think in some respects (namely exploration) it genshin does it better #but like... the brainless sidequesting and exploration..... #the plots that dont know what they want to be and thus dont push their message correctly #the lack of -- actually lack of female characters with important roles isnt a fault of genshin #but that the only woman with wrinkles with a speaking role in ffxv (up to ch12) is a minor npc? #yeah #i can elaborate more but it just... has genshin vibes lmao
