THEY ARE MINE
The world of Cor Varias had known its fair share of hardships. The gods, caring for the people they watched over, stepped back from the world to watch from afar. As civilization grew around the scars of the Disparity, the world and its inhabitants began to progress the world due to their own cooperation and ingenuity rather than leaning on divine powers too much. And the gods wouldn’t have had it any other way.
The prime heads of the deities had issued the Law of Direction. Divine beings could not directly interfere with mortal progress. They could appoint clerics and paladins and influence many other heroes, but even with them, they could not directly intercede in any way that would dramatically alter mortality’s development. Any choices or efforts or any discoveries could only be influenced by divine help if directly called on by mortality and, even then, the deities could only offer minor aid unless it was to intercept any malevolent divine force.
Mortality grew and, eventually, a lot of the gods faded into obscurity, though still watching from afar. The world grew its own conflicts and mortality continued to rise and fall with each decade. No one new the threats that lay within chains or deep within the abyss were stirring.
In a tower beyond space and time, a cloak battered against the pace of her walking as she entered the meeting chamber where several demigods like herself stood around a table. Her eyes red and lavender as she took her seat.
“Feels weird to call us a council, so I won’t. Especially since we’re all married. In any case, Cor Varias is in trouble as you all know and as much as we want to do this for ourselves, the Law of Direction limits our ability, even as demigods.” Petra spoke.
Haley smiled. “I’ve been doing some research and I think I found us some candidates for eyes on the ground. We obviously can’t bless them like gods, but we can help steer them in the right direction.”
Marasenna, in her intimidating glory, nodded. “We also aren’t as bound by the law so we can actively fight these threats. But these three will have to take the lead.”
Lyria restrung her bow. “Well, then I guess we have our work cut out for us. Who do we have?”
Verity placed out three dossiers on the table. “One is a sorcerer. A diplomat of the Tabaxi Order. Incredibly powerful. Nearly impossible to kill and has a twinge of dark in them.”
Emily, eyes still closed in meditation, agreed and continued. “There is also a tiefling. Deep hemocraft is woven into her blood, but something stole her memory. She knows nothing of her past, but she has a fight in her you can’t match.”
Aerin continued. “And finally, a cleric like you, Petra, but this one harbors an aura of death. The Mistress, Malathriel, has taken a special interest in her. Loving family, but she also houses something ancient. Malathriel loves, cherishes, and cares deeply for her clerics and has always honored the Law, but this young aasimar also harbors power from the deep. We suspect Zigguridan and his cult had a hand in it.”
Petra drifted her hands over the dossiers. “Well, they all fit the part. They have a long journey ahead of them. Especially if the hope to catch us and our thousands of years of experience. Nonetheless, we can’t let our foes know we are making moves. Senna, Em, and Haley, I think you should go wake them up. Cor Varias is about to get very interesting indeed.”
@ebevkisk, I spite wrote this. Also, an introduction to my new world I’m building and I think you’ll love who protects this world. Consider this a reminder of my darling lovelies as well as my D&D characters written as the SHOULD have been written.

Aerin’s story is a harsh one. Cor Varias has a lot of beauty in it, but it’s also a harsh cold world that has no shortage of villains. And Aerin’s backstory introduces one of the scarier, more unsettling beings that seek to do this world harm. @ebevkisk
CW: torture, madness, unsettling characters, manipulation, genocide
Divine Wrath
The gods were a wild breed. Divinity was a granted position, but the primordials did not just pick from a hat. There was a long selection process. Most mortals never even began this journey because it takes hundreds of years to even reach the level of demigod. However, partial divinity could be granted as a boon a few ways. Through devout worship, like most clerics, or strong ideals, like paladins, or even through a pact, particularly creating warlocks. All of these were valid, but even the gods sometimes interacted with mortality in a way that created a unique situation. This caused the creation of the races known as Tieflings and Aasimar.
Tieflings and Aasimar were a solid chunk of Cor Varias’ population. No one knows exactly the chain of events that led to their existence, but it is said that gods often fell in love with mortals and spent a small portion of their lives with them, creating races of both half devils and half angels.
As centuries went by, Tieflings and Aasimar became a fairly large part of the mortal population. People were still wary of them, but being embraced by the divine and the hells was not openly mocked or acknowledged as dangerous in any way. However, the world had a way of swaying that boon against one’s own favor.
Aerin was born with that spark of divinity. Dark brown skin, black hair braided into a ponytail, eyes pure gold, she was slated to live a legendary life the second she was born to her mother. As she grew, she beheld visions of war. Battlefields, conflict, anguish. Her mother attempted to take her to clerics and other priests to see what could be done, but every answer was the same: this child was a chosen of Myrgonis, the ancient Goddess of War and Conflict.
Her mother continued to search for answers, but every path led the same direction. To make things worse, the world was in an extended period of peace. Hearing the birth of a child of war would gather all kinds of the wrong attention, so she kept to herself, mostly reading, attempting to drown out the sounds of her life in the background until her 16th birthday.
There came a knock on the door of the house the Curridans lived in just outside of Port Desriel. When Kaia, her mother, opened the door, a 6’7” giant of a woman stood there with a mournful look on her face.
“Hello, I think I may have the answers you seek. I apologize for the intrusion. May I come in?”
Kaia nodded and gathered Aerin to the dinner table to meet with this stranger.
The visitor spoke. “I do not spend much time outside of the Divine Gate nowadays, but this took precedence. I apologize for the years of grief I must have caused you. I made an error, despite it being a calculated and necessary one, and I can only hope you can come to forgive me. Aerin, I am Myrgonis. I am your other parent. Normally, Aasimar heritage is granted to those who are born of both divinity and mortality. It seems as though you were granted such a heritage.”
Aerin looked awestruck. This explained why, despite never really exercising a day in her life, she looked not just fit, but buff. It also explained her short temper. Aerin had always had a deep-seated anger that sat in her chest, but she’d always marked that off as a side effect of constantly seeing the worst side of mortality.
Myrgonis continued. “If we are lucky, you will be capable, but I am sorry to have put you in this position of trust, but I trust that you can handle it. Kaia, I sincerely apologize for this gift and I apologize for leaving you alone for all of these long years. I know it has caused you anger and possibly to hate me. Rest assured, you did not make any missteps. Side effects of being a Goddess of War is that conflict is an effect I have on people.”
Kaia, tears in her eyes, gave her wife a hug. “When we were together, you said that the life of a deity was eternally a lonely one. You can see things I cannot. I may not have understood what having a child would do, but that anger has since faded, knowing what a position it puts those involved in.”
Myrgonis turned to Aerin. “My child, I also would like to apologize to you. You have a long road ahead of you. The world does not look favorably on those of divine bloodline. They believe us to be mad. Believe us to be chaos and evil incarnate, but I choose to believe that you will show them how wrong they are.”
Years passed and Aerin studied the ways of war and conflict. Educating herself on battle tactics and the art of war, siege, and countering. Fighting became second nature and she carried around a hammer of pure silver. When she turned 21, she left her home in search of her destiny to learn through the eyes of the world rather than the pages of a book. She wore a cape slung over her shoulder and armor crafted by the best blacksmith in town. Standing a solid 6’4”, few travelers dared to even speak to her, knowing her only as a feared presence.
She passed through towns and cities, rarely speaking a word, but commanding a magnificent aura of respect and wary curiosity where she walked, hammer attached to her back.
The year of her 27th birthday rolled around and she had studied nearly every theater of war that could possibly exist and had come to the same conclusion as her mother. War was a plague and the best way to end a war is never to start it. Cut it off at the source and make sure communication is key for the world’s leaders.
As she traveled through the woods near the northern part of the continent, she saw something that made her stop dead in her tracks and made even the wandering guard shake in her boots. She saw her mother, but it wasn’t. Something in her eyes, even at a distance, felt very wrong. Unsettling even. Her heart rate spiked as she walked closer.
In her mother’s eyes were not the blue sky irises that she’d become accustomed to, but deep orange sclera and void black irises. A deep fear awoke in Aerin’s heart as something twitched in the back of her brain. Something seemed familiar.
Her mother spoke. “Hello, it seems as though you are shaken at the sight of this face. It’s alright. I’m sorry to inform you that she is dead. She gave her body over to me. I hope you can make peace with that. For it is now I that carry this form for this short period of time. Multanith.”
Multanith. A name so hated and despised that every word and record written of her was stricken from every library and carved out of every statue. Even the speaking of the name was met with a poisonous distaste in the mouth of the vocalist. Blasphemy was too nice a word for the unsettling existence of such a foul and deceitful creature and the world would do well to forget her all together.
It all began with a simple lie. The gods continued to ravage the world with conflict as mortality tried to maintain their foothold of existence on the material plane. Mortality desperately searched for a solution to increase their ability to survive the Disparity, but none came to mind until a rumor was heard amongst the people: sever all divine bloodlines. Extinguish the children of the gods and stop the descent that was bringing the world to its knees.
This violent rumor spread to the leaders, causing massive contention and discord as they spoke until the point where the Divine Acolyte was called forth and asked to speak.
“I cannot say, for certain, whether this is an advisable plan, but what’s to say the gods don’t have plans to extinguish us all? Even their children live among us. Who’s to say they aren’t betraying us now at this very moment? Exposing our plans and corrupting our children?” The acolyte offered.
The leaders didn’t like it, but they offered know alternative. Within a week, every being of Aasimar inheritance was rounded up and locked deep within the earth beneath the Ivory City. Hundreds of Aasimar perished or were driven mad by this decision as they suffocated and lost all sense of the world.
Of course, the gods did not take kindly to this. Behemoth drove her sword into the nearby mountain range, creating what would become Penrose. Veloria unleashed the will of nature creating both the decayed Crimson Plains and the Black Sands. The world grew teeth as Cor Varias turned from a beautiful planet into a minefield. There even rose a black sun into the sky, creating devastating heat and sub zero winters. If the world would not allow the gods to coexist in peace, then, maybe, the world would learn the hard way.
This sparked rage in the leaders of what was left of mortality. After a thorough investigation, it was found that Multanith, the Divine Acolyte, not only condemned the Aasimar to death, but also was the perpetuator of the vile rumor. As to be made an example, Multanith’s eyes were washed with sediment from the Crimson Plains. The Crimson Plains carried a deep sickness that latched onto the host and slowly corroded their physical form. Her eyes were left black and orange as she was restrained and left to decay in a cell until she was presumed dead. It is even said Multanith’s fate was tied to the black sun that she created with her deception. As the sun rose and set, so too would her pain.
Aerin had heard this story from her mother. As her rage grew inside her, this entity known as Multanith had usurped her mother’s body. Her eyes bored into Aerin as an unsettling grin fell over Multanith’s “face”.
“I have learned you are the chosen of a god. The same god that inspires the world to fight against its own kin. This does not have to be. War and conflict do not have to be what you stand for. You carry a spark much like your predecessors before you.”
Aerin, deeply disturbed by this entire experience, felt a pit of something stirring in her chest as she stared into what was supposed to be her mothers eyes. The sclera flared with an unsettling orange glow as Aerin felt her body freeze in place.
Multanith’s hand grasped her face.
“Madness is a spark, my child. Allow me to turn it into a flame.”
Her entire body burned white hot with a searing and uncomfortable pain as her vision started to tunnel.
“Offer yourself to the black sun. Give yourself to madness. Obsession is now your master and you are the pupil.”
With that, Multanith let go and vacated the body of her mother. As Aerin cradled her mother in her arms, she felt that hatred and that madness continue to permeate her mental faculties as her rage became uncontrollable. Forcing herself away from her mother’s now lifeless corpse, Aerin staggered deeper into the forest, hammer in hand and searching for a victim.
As she staggered forward in blind wrath, a bear appeared, clearly hunting for food. A force continued to take hold and she charged towards the bear, hammer out. Just as she was about to swing, a pearlescent white deer stood in front of the bear and slammed her backwards.
Concentration still blurred, she welcomed the new target and took a swing. The elk had surprising agility and dodged, using her antlers to continue to shove her away from the bear.
The elk screeched and it was as if the fog cleared away from the moment. As she tumbled rubbing her pounding temple, the deer slowly approached. Aerin lashed out, the anger still in her system, and the elk caught her arm, stopping its momentum. The elk sniffed her face and then screeched one more time and Aerin felt the madness melt away and all that was left was grief. Grief that her mother was dead and that some entity, despite all her preparation, dug into her head and left something there. As Aerin cried, the elk shifted into a beautiful blonde that just held her in the grass, shaking with the realization that she was lost for the first time in her life.

Facts about my OC’s while I’m on Vacation:
Petra actually doesn’t wield weapons. 450 years ago, she found the only two crafted creations known as the Lucid Armscubes. They are fidget cube sized artifacts that can shift into the shape of any weapon stored within the user’s mind. She also uses them as actual fidget cubes because she ADHD as Fuuuuuuck.
Lyria is terrified of cockroaches. The Wildmother is confused. Everyone can’t stop laughing about it.
Emily can weaponize necrotic energy. She just doesn’t very often because she doesn’t need to. She may be blind, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t strong as all hell.
Aerin could recite the entirety of Pride and Prejudice by heart. WITH all of the character voices.
Verity got defeated by a cup of water once. Sure, Petra summoned an octopus to break her concentration, but that doesn’t mean she’ll ever let her live it down.
Haley functions in their room as if Tony Stark was an enby tiefling that could do Dr. Strange’s job. They are a super genius that can think faster than the gods themselves and even the world’s greatest arcanists would lose every round of Jeopardy to them.
Marasenna has two personalities living inside her. I know I’ve broached this before, but you need to understand. Her trauma as part of the Recindment crafted a second personality, also known as Marasenna, that took over to do the scarring duties as their Show of Power. Senna’s split is cold and indifferent to the world and has no qualms about doing the dirty work Senna won’t.

Guilty Pleasure OC Facts:
Petra hides her love of stuffed animals from her partners. She has a Bag of Holding full of them. No one has found it. Yet.
Lyria loves hentai art. Everyone knows about it, but for obvious reasons, no one brings it up. She does enjoy it for the art quality. Sometimes.
Emily sneaks away every few weeks to hold her title as the figure skating champion of the region. She is beauty, she is grace.
Aerin loves RomComs. Everyone knows, she’s just not good at hiding it.
Verity would never be caught dead swimming. She also swims 5 days a week.
Haley is known for being the most technologically advanced member of the house, so it continues to elude Emily as to why she has a massive CD collection that she tries to keep hidden.
Marasenna, Third of her line, Purveyor of Nightmares, Queen of the Damned, Shade of the Northern Wastes, and the Root from Which All Fears Stem, watches Miraculous religiously. No one dares call her out on it because they support her interests. And no one dares mess with a full-blooded dragon.

Little bit of an anxiety kind of a day, so hopefully this can help calm me down a little. @ebevkisk
What Aerin thinks of her teammates:
Petra Naverrian
The most siblingesque relationship here. Aerin thinks of Petra as a younger sister (despite being younger than her). She’s very protective and will often feel her protective instinct kick in when she’s being threatened.
Lyria Peregrine
Schoolgirl crush. Aerin rarely gets nervous, but Lyria has something about her that makes her all anxious and bashful. Aerin also wishes she knew how to cook, so Lyria gives her lessons.
Emily Cordalith
Emily makes Aerin nervous, but for the opposite reason. Aerin knows the kind of effect Multanith had on her and also knows that Emily can sense emotions. It’s less a dislike and more of a “I really don’t want this getting out until I can learn to control it” type of deal, so it takes all of Aerin’s charisma to hold it together in front of Emily.
Verity Xanderia
Gossip partners. Aerin can’t help it. Verity is really good at dishing and reading people like Aerin, so it only stands to reason that tea is indeed spilt when these two are together. Nothing mean (usually) but they definitely have a close bond because of it.
Marasenna
Aerin is protective of Petra and knows that Marasenna is a force of nature. She also knows that Senna can have a bit of a temper especially when she doesn’t like what she’s told to do. Aerin also knows what happened to Senna and, if Senna is anything like her, both of them are in deep trouble if they go off at the same time.
Haley
These two butt heads. A lot. Which is funny for a couple reasons. Haley somehow brings out the little bit of non-zen energy that runs counter to everything everyone knows about Aerin and you’d think they’d get along with how intelligent they both are. Haley is the only one that’s ever gotten Aerin to raise her voice. They don’t know it, but it’s because they are practically the opposite of each other.
Ascella Ylteryn
Aerin likes how Ascella helps her feel included. Aerin is a Paladin/Barbarian, so it’s rare when someone comes to her for help with magic, but Aerin knows more than enough about magic and strategy to help Ascella jog more ideas loose and it makes her feel special.
Teyra Fellspark
The dynamic duo. Senna and Teyra get along because they complement each other. Aerin and Teyra get along because they literally clicked day one. Aerin and Teyra spend a lot of time together and have become good drinking buddies.

Cool Things My OC’s Can Do That May Surprise You
Petra Naverrian
She’s a very talented singer and dancer. She’s a performer (artistic or otherwise) and kind of loves being in the spotlight. Her team is very supportive of this (mostly because they’re all gay as hell and love when she’s in a spicy mood.)
Lyria Peregrine
She’s an archer by trade and is a VERY good one. Legend has it that she once pinned three flies to a tree by their wings. At the same time. Without killing any of them.
Emily Cordalith
No one can ever get away with anything around her. It’s gone from impressive to downright scary. Her luck is insane and her perception stat is so high, she literally caught Haley attempting to build a prank before Haley had even thought about it.
Aerin Curridan
Her photographic memory is the best in the team. Yes, even better than Petra’s and Ascella’s. Aerin can name all of the ingredients in any draught, potion, or recipe Lyria has ever made after half-looking at a page for less than a second. Lyria loves this because she is scatterbrained as hell.
Haley
People think Lyria is the only cook in Olvara’s Pocket, but Haley can cook just as well if not better. They can actively pick apart a dish, tell you all of the ingredients, how old the food is, and the flavor profiles of the dish after one bite.
Marasenna
Senna would NEVER say this out loud, but Senna is a fashionista. She likes her tomboy style and if word ever got out she would be furious, but she knows how to make and rock an outfit like nobody’s business. The funny thing is that everyone else knows and asks for advice, but Senna hasn’t picked up on it yet.
Verity Xanderia
Lyria and Verity bond over their love for nature and what’s crazy is that Verity knows exactly what every creature is and where it lives. Lyria thinks it’s cute.
Ascella Ylteryn
No one has ever beaten Ascella at chess. Ever. Haley came close once, but then Ascella got serious. Ascella also knows better than to cheat because there are too many bright minds in the hold. Petra’s still mad about this.
Teyra Fellspark
Teyra was a VERY active child and had a very supportive uncle, so they are a very talented gymnast and parkour junkie. She spends a lot of time in the rafters, out on the walls, and in all of the unique areas of the castle, so he loves to exhaust all of his creative avenues. They also have a surprising green dragon parentage, so Teyra is not only immune to poison and acid, but can identify them based on taste and smell.

Needed a breather from full length stories. Also, kinda blocked on how I wanna write Ascella’s arc. So imma do this instead. Keep in mind: at this point in their stories, they are all teammates, not exactly lovers or partners so for all intents and purposes, all of these people are single. @ebevkisk
How Marasenna feels about her teammates:
Petra Naverrian
Senna and Petra have a respect for each other. They have lived long lives despite still being so young, so they trust each other implicitly. Petra is also the only non-dragon to beat Senna in a straight-up fight, so Senna feels close to her in that regard.
Lyria Peregrine
They have a symbiotic relationship. Senna LOVES food and Lyria loves making food. Lyria is also kinda the group mom, so Senna vents a lot to her about things. Senna also is very good at bringing Lyria out of her shell, so it works out.
Emily Cordalith
An example of opposites attract. Senna is a wild child and Emily is a very centered and focused individual. Somehow, this makes them a very unique pairing that works well together.
Aerin Curridan
Senna admires Aerin’s peaceful and stoic energy. She knows Aerin follows a war patron, but Senna has never met anyone who was literally like a warm cup of chai tea on a snowy snowy evening like Aerin is.
Verity Xanderia
Something unsettles Senna about Verity. Verity carries an aura of confusion and power that Senna does not understand, but it feels very old and very dangerous and as such, Senna keeps her distance.
Haley
Madness incarnate. Senna is Haley’s enabler. Senna encourages so much creativity and chaos out of them that it’s insane what shenanigans they can get up to when they spend too much time together.
Ascella Ylteryn
Surprisingly, these two are very close friends. Ascella finds herself around Senna more often than not. Even if they aren’t talking, they find comfort in each other’s presence.
Teyra Fellspark
If anyone in the hold could give Senna butterflies, its 100% Teyra. These two have the most wholesome relationship. Teyra is the soft spoken and loving softie to Marasenna’s wild instigator and Teyra has an ability to calm Senna down that no one else has mastered. Also, both tend to turn beet red when around each other, but they haven’t figured that out yet.

Part two. Doing one for each character. Plus this helps me iron out how my OCs feel about one another. @ebevkisk
How Emily feels about her teammates:
Petra Naverrian
Best friends. Emily usually is a fairly calm and collected individual. All of that goes away when it’s just her and Petra. She becomes a bit of a snuggle bug when Petra is around. Petra also taught Emily how to conjure a seeing eye familiar, a bat named Olive, so they are uniquely bonded.
Lyria Peregrine
Lyria is usually the mom friend when everyone else is around. Emily and Lyria together? Recipe for disaster. Neither of them can hold their liquor and both are very bubbly drunks. Very fun for everyone involved.
Aerin Curridan
They really don’t talk much. That’s not to say they don’t know each other EXTREMELY well, but Emily can read Aerin’s emotions and Aerin has worked with more than enough people to know how to read Emily’s thoughts and subtle facial expressions. They don’t talk, but they DO say a lot to each other.
Verity Xanderia
The most polarizing friendship in the hold. Emily loves being in the water. It helps her get out of her head for a few minutes. Verity also knows better than to hide things from Emily. Verity’s emotions are on full display for ONLY Emily and they have a weird flavor of trust.
Marasenna
Emily keeps Senna calm. Emily senses so much in Senna that she struggles to keep a lid on her emotions when Senna’s around. It doesn’t mean they aren’t friends, but it does limit Emily’s exposure to Senna.
Haley
Two very different, clashing world perspectives. Haley’s life is logic, science, and analysis. Emily is very much emotion, conjecture, and sympathy. This puts them at odds a lot of the time and makes it hard for them to get along.
Ascella Ylteryn
Death is their bread and butter. These two are a deadly combo. Think Emily Kaldwin and Corvo Attano. Two very focused and intelligent beings that could dismantle governments. The best liars in the business. They also communicate very well and have similar thought patterns, which makes them very good friends.
Teyra Fellspark
Sparring partners. They also are the cool heads of the group, so they often have the most relaxing conversations. They also are the most centered and attentive, so they usually pick up on the most smallest details. Put Aerin with them and there is NO way anybody is getting away with anything.

Part three. This is too fun and it’s giving me some stories to explore. It also helps me know where their relationship is gonna start so that I can build from there. @ebevkisk
How Ascella feels about her teammates:
Petra Naverrian
Ascella sees Petra as a hypocrite. Both hemocraft and necromancy are taboo in Cor Varias and the fact that they both abuse these and Petra continues to dismiss Ascella as beyond help despite needing hers fills her with a deep annoyance that stops them from even considering friendship. Both are unaware how similar they are.
Lyria Peregrine
Lyria is naturally curious (pun intended). Ascella and Lyria are an interesting pairing because they both come from the fringes of society and they are both interested in where the other person came from. Ascella also shows her softer sides to Lyria unintentionally.
Emily Cordalith
The person that Ascella usually finds herself standing next to in meetings. Emily is surrounded by a very unique aura of death that excites her. Ascella also can’t hide anything from Emily and she knows it, so she feels herself relax around her.
Aerin Curridan
Study buddies. Ascella once was reading in the lounge and accidentally speaking out loud and Aerin overheard and offered her opinion. Not only did it help, but Ascella started coming to Aerin when she needed to brainstorm. Aerin thinks it’s sweet.
Verity Xanderia
Nightmare combo in a good way. Verity, being a master of the mind and Ascella, a master of the soul? This spells trouble. These two get along famously and can be surprisingly wholesome despite their grim specialties. Ascella also sees Verity in a very honest light and it’s endearing to Ascella.
Marasenna
Ascella knows Senna’s reputation as well as circumstances. They make for very good friends and Ascella feels like she can be vulnerable around her. Weird because of how much of a chaos gremlin Senna is, but she does a surprisingly good job.
Haley
Evil geniuses. They spend a lot of time together. A lot of it is in a lab and it’s like two kids in a playhouse. Bouncing ideas off of each other and talking about how the world works. If Ascella had a brain twin, it would be Haley.
Teyra Fellspark
Ascella sees Teyra as her silence friend. You ever have those moments where you and a friend just sit in dead quiet and just be in each other’s space? That’s how these to are. Teyra doesn’t seem to mind and even enjoys it to some degree.

The Pocket Queers’ Worst Weaknesses
Petra Naverrian
She’s a perfectionist. No one left behind, no task undone, no trace of evidence. Often, she wears herself out because her brain won’t allow her to do anything halfway. This regularly conflicts with her inability to find motivation.
Lyria Peregrine
The most trusting of the bunch. This can often be a boon, but it functions just as well as a fault as it does a strength. She sees the good in people and, as good as her insight is, she wants more than anything to believe that people aren’t as bad as they act.
Emily Cordalith
She can be a very cold individual. Her ability to sense emotion as well as her trauma earlier in life made it hard to really feel much of anything, so it’s hard for her to open up about what she’s feeling. Often, it comes off as a lack of care or apathy.
Aerin Curridan
Introverted to a fault. Kind of a lone wolf to some degree and has a little bit of social anxiety thrown in there, so interacting with people is kinda hard.
Haley
Does not like asking for or accepting help. The rest of their crew can attest. They are a very independent creature and doesn’t like people touching their projects or problems, so they get bogged down by their own struggles frequently.
Marasenna
Bullheaded and reckless. She may be a dragon, but her stubbornness and reckless behavior can really cause rifts between her and her teammates as well as put her in mortal danger.
Verity Xanderia
She doesn’t think much of herself. She can be fairly self-deprecating and sees herself as more of a tool other people can use as opposed to a person with hopes and dreams. Everyone else tries to help, but it’s a long process.
Ascella Ylteryn
HUBRIS. One of the few in the hold that actually struggles with this. Her ego is hard to work around and she holds a very high opinion of herself. However, this also puts her at odds with a lot of people and makes it very hard to get along with people.
Teyra Fellspark
A creature that can’t say no. It’s so hard for them to not help people as much as they can. It becomes a severe burden the more they say yes and it’s hard for them to stand up to themselves.

Rewrite of an earlier post of my OC’s. I’ve been rewriting a lot of backstories and, since then, several of my dear OC’s have had a subclass change to be more in line with what I envisioned for them. Also, remember, most of these characters come from D&D, but they also kinda break the scale most people are used to, so yeah. @ebevkisk

18+ Blog!!!
(I block people for not having an age in their bio! Doesn’t have to be your exact age, but I need at least an honest indication you’re not a minor)
My array of characters is slowly growing, but I love them dearly. I write about them a lot (and post them on @petra-naverrians-diary), but I’m always ready to answer questions and do asks about them, so please do so I can practice my writing them and explore more of their development.
Character List:
-Petra Naverrian (she/they): A 529-year-old transfem bisexual blood cleric nephalem who doesn’t look a day over 25. She dabbles in magic and fighting while navigating the life she never had as she rids the world of despots and people who seek to destroy free will.
-Lyria Peregrine (she/her): A 26-year-old lesbian Druid Huntress. She was scratched as a teenager and became a werestag. She became a disciple of Veloria, goddess of nature and spiders, and has been a protector of the wilds ever since.
-Emily Cordalith (she/they): A 27-year-old blind demisexual monk from the far away realm of Hell’s Kitchen, New York, hunting a tyrant of the Abyss who stole her sight and turned her student. She has a talent for not only sensing but seeing strong emotions through colors that appear on the darkness that is her sight.
-Aerin Curridan (she/her): A 28-year-old asexual daughter of a War Deity who set out to be the world’s protector. Now, she searches for answers after being enchanted with an ancient madness by one of the world’s greatest villains.
-Verity Xanderia (she/her): A deep sea mermaid pansexual sorcerer with powers to distort the mind and perception of those she interacts with. 28 and a vicious manipulator, she fell prey to a lonely cleric who gave her what she wasn’t prepared for: love, attention, and affection.
-Haley the Tiefling (they/them): A non-binary sapiosexual artificer-gunslinger who was betrayed by their hometown’s crime syndicate. They dabble in enchantment, but mostly rely on their own skills and Pegs, their automaton.
-Marasenna, the Purveyor of Nightmares (she/her): An adult lesbian dragon fairly early in her lifespan. 150 years young, but strikes a deep fear into the hearts of her enemies. She hunts, with the help of her best friend (and crush), Teyra, Paraios, the Elder Brain Dragon, who banished her mothers and uncle from the face of her home plane.
-Ascella Ylteryn (they/she): An abrosexual necromancer from the astral plane wanted on several counts of insurrection, assassination of political leaders, resisting arrest, and raising the dead for malicious purpose. Ascella wants nothing more than to perfect her craft and rid the world of those that seek to take advantage of the less-than-lucky.
-Teyra Fellspark (any pronouns): Marasenna’s bisexual best friend and head of the Dissident Veil, leaders of the Draconic population. An intimidating gold dragon and a natural born leader, Teyra leads searches for the betrayer that stole her father from her while struggling with her feelings for Marasenna.

In case the very few people that care about the Sword Baes Universe, I figured I’d kinda explain how their polycule is organized at the moment. This is liable to change if @queencharliesshadow aka @sapphic-alcina-dimitrescu adds anything or wants Némain to formally date and/or marry them, but this is how it’s organized as far as relationships go.
Married:
Petra and Lyria
Petra and Némain
Petra and Alcina
Lyria and Némain
Lyria and Alcina
Dating:
Petra and Emily
Petra and Verity
Verity and Emily (not canon yet)
Lyria and Aerin (not canon yet)
If Mébh has anything to add here that I’m missing, we’ll use this as a thread most likely to flesh out all of the ties here.
