I’d be lying if i said the outlook in the immediate future (the next few years) w/r/t climate change didn’t make me at least a little sue recital

#and I’m living with air conditioning! #tbh the worst part isn’t suffering the heat (for me at least) the worst part is watching it get worse and worse #after being alive for 2 decades of advocacy to prevent or at least delay this critical point and nothing being done bc $$$ #(it does help that on a philosophical level I do not feel my life has any importance a/o my experience on earth is ultimately meaningless) #(so idrc about it ending and I’d rather do that on my own terms than suffer) #(ESPECIALLY by incremental decline feeling it the whole time vs. just doing it myself to minimize #the agony right up until whatever the tipping point of obvious and undeniable agony hits)
