#personal #aka two things i like. ashaf and guideau & hikaru and yoshiki #we got our low empathy character that doesnt know things bc theyre nonhuman whose got a kinda dead/came back wrong thing going on #partnered with someone willing to help them #the key difference is their age though (and the genre for mty. i imagine guideau'd have quicker development if he wasnt doing these crazy #fights. hikaru gets it at ch 16) so ofc our teen protag yoshiki alone thinks killing hikaru's the best choice. then he gets his important #'nows not the time to cry' moment #hikaru starts off w a lot of fear and sadness and guideau's mostly anger and hostility. hikaru's also v genuine and more open then shrinks #when yoshiki reacts. 'i cant help how i feel about you' vs guideau's 'right here right now make me understand what this love is'. #ashaf and hikaru are the interested ones of the pairs. ashaf wants to teach and yoshiki is struggling w it. again bc the age #hikaru is the one to declare it not quite knowing while guideau asks while still going 'not this love crap again'
